It encouraged players to use the Minecarts more and by going out a thousand blocks, you'd find a bunch more world generation that would encourage building. I guess doing the achievement just for the achievement is the reason why it would be tedious, because that's your only goal. Getting it done. Anyway, good video. :)

My bully realized I had a 360 and this began a friendship than involved us playing MW3 and minecraft... I really sucked at call of duty but, I'll never forget playing those games on my dad's projector. I'll never forget blowing up my friends capsule home in minecraft by placing tnt by his door pressure plate, or building a minecraft hotel, just playing with friends... good memories. Thanks
fun fact: before beta 1.8, there were only 10 biomes. they were rainforest, seasonal forest, forest, swampland, plains, shrubland, savanna, desert, taiga, and tundra. they were decided entirely by the randomly generated rainfall and heat values that also controlled the colour of the grass and leaves, and they also didnt show up in the f3 menu.

Some old players abused that mechanich to make booster pods by there rails, which then boosted there minecarts to go faster than what normal powered rails would allow.

I love these typa gameplay videos! I know you’re not “starting out” super new, but I love the branching out and I think you’d do really good if you continue with this style. Keep on grinding man you definitely have charm and I enjoyed the video. As a very small creator (I started a different channel a few months ago and just hit 200 subs) I’m inspired by the style
I like the old achievement menu design not just one block on background. But ,for me, old achievement are very easy you get for every step exept 2 one of which is boring, annoying because of bugs(pigs fly).The only cool achievement, I think, is to run 1,000 blocks of rail it very cool and relaxing, unque not just make very basic things like made wooden sword, punch cow
i think i'm gonna try this myself and maybe work my up through the versions that added new achievements on that same world just for fun. awesome video bro

It looked super advanced and beyond my comprehension. I saw the numbers over the heads of monsters under the sand and I almost thought it was Herobrine or something. Super spooky. And I think I went in there and found my first dungeon, just covered in a thin layer of sand.
I totally forgot just how slow the game was back then lol not sure if I'll ever go back to this far, but you did just inspire me to keep going on my current 1.20 world. I think I'll try to avoid using elytra or at the very least limit how often I use it, because idk there's just something satisfying about that rail towards the end of the video. Sometimes for 2 seconds of a Short I end up spending 15 minutes building something; I applaud your dedication to that goal. While there's nothing wrong with niching down, following your creative passions instead is a lot more rewarding (in my opinion). the On a Rail Achievement is still in the game, all editions, it was never removed, they only changed the distance from 1000 blocks to 500

The minecart achievement was probably the best achievement out of them all because it's the only way to transport stuff in old versions of Minecraft.

To do the on a rail achievement, I made a bunch of minecart boosters (a bug until beta 1.6) which was MUCH faster
