  • The Ferrari 328 is one of the most amazing driving cars out there. It is by far the best bang for the buck Ferrari you can currently buy. These cars get overlooked by many Ferrari collectors which makes them attainable for average folks.

In my undying wish to own a 328, I somehow could never afford one, instead I bought a Mondial 3.2. Obviously the Mondial does not carry the looks and balance the 328 does, but it has all the same mechanicals, etc. I have owned my Mondial for 15 years now, and love it more everyday. I know this very well made and fun video is about the 328, and it still my dream car. A Ferrari gated gearshift is the very apex of motoring.

Nice video! I had the pleasure of owning one of these for 5 years (from 2000-2005). It was a 1989 model, same colour inside/outside as in the video. I drove approximately 17.000 miles with it, never had a problem with the car. As you say, it’s a real drivers car. This is motoring! I really miss it when I watch this video!

Thanks for watching! I really enjoyed this 328. By far a much better driving car than a Testarossa or the 355. I think that the 308s and the 328s are way underappreciated and they are probably going to be the next batch of Ferraris to go through the roof price wise.

I am thinking the same. 20 years ago I would be opted for the 328 over the 308. But now since both car's performance has been somewhat outshined by time today i would prefer the more classic looks of the 308 (even though slower and possibly not as good of a driver) both are nice cars.

Had a 1987 328 GTS for 4 years . Great car . Not real fast and so so handling but oh that engine sound . Reliable , weak A/C so rebuilt from end to end - better but not great . Who cares . Did I mention the engine sound . Guy that bought it asked me to go straight to his bank on the test ride after winding it up to 7000 rpm getting 100 mph on freeway entrance ramp . If this is anything like what Sebastian Vettel gets to hear on race day he is the luckiest man in the world . Rate a strong buy . Shoulda kept it .

Things to consider: Required engine-out service every 30k miles is about $4000 assuming nothing but regular maintenance needs doing. Classic car insurance will limit you to 7500 mi/yr. Car uses premium fuel and gets 13 mpg combined. Check ceiling for fit if you’re tall- presenter in video is pretty short. Parts are expensive. Best not to buy without good service records. Honda Civics will be faster than you. People at traffic lights and parking lots will call you Magnum. Other than that, you’re good to go.
