I think it is an Arctic Hare. But i call them rabbit nickles too ! These are one of my fave coins to collect. Found a lot of them over the years and you can still find them ! 👍
I have several sets of these coins, I was born at the end of 67 and at that time, everyone born that year was given a set.

As a kid back in the day, I delivered the Toronto Telegram. One of my generous customers gave me a Canada's 1967 "Wildlife" Coinage set as a Christmas present. Included was Alex Colville's description of each coin. Regarding the nickel, Colville states "The rabbit (varying hare) is common, much loved by children, perhaps because of its vulnerability. It survives by alertness and speed, and is symbolically connected with ideas of fertility, new life and promise -- it is thus a future, or united, animal."
My father has a several proof sets of the centennial coins. Will have to check them! Thanks for this!
Problem is the 1967 Centennial coins were sold as set for collectors, it is rare to find any of the 1967 coins in circulation. When one is found in circulation most everyone in Cda knows some day they'll be worth lots of money, and it's snapped up.
Not so. The 1967 centennial was a national celebration, and these coins were minted and in general circulation for all twenty million of us to enjoy. They were super common in your pocket change back in the day before people began hoarding them. Special collector sets and individual coins were also minted and packaged as untouched coins.
They made nearly 37 million of them. They were extremely common and easy to find in circulation for a very long time. The only reason you don't see them much in your change any more is that they're almost 60 years old!
What about the 1$ and 2$ Canadian notes. I have a few in mint condition. Do they have any special value?

My father bought the coins set and me as a kid stolen the coins and spent at the candy store ! Boy did I get in trouble! And learning this now ! Wow

I have one of these coins... its not a error one but its in mint shape
There are also 1967 silver dollars with rotation errors. Some with just a slight (10 degrees or so) and others with more rotation. I have one of the slightly rotated ones. Don't seem to be worth much extra though.
my dad had rolls and rolls of 1940-60's silver Canadian coins in a collection until my brother discovered the collection and ended up spending a lot of it at the arcade

Crap, I just found one of these bunny coins last week and used it at a gas station. I didn't know about this.
Chances are it was only worth $2 ,I found one in a field in the collectors plastic and written on it was $2 ... So I kept it and then lost it. I found a few more pieces of jewelry on that field ,pewter ring and a locket and a bracelet ...I think the meth heads that used to live in a broken down rv used to do some shady business...

i have a business strike bunny nickel that has machine doubling on it. I have seen many bunny nickels, but that is the only one with the doubling, so far...
I have a rabbit nickel certified by iccs as a double date can you find any in reg strikes i believe every year has some degree of rotation
Yes have many rabbits giving to me by parents and grandparents and older.

Yes, I had two 2023 nickels with Charles last month ... set them aside ... and now cannot find them 😂. I did think it was a deliberate insult that they chose to put him on our lowest denomination coin though.

I don't think that it is the channel owner putting the text on the screen, I believe it'ai. I could be wrong, but I believe if it was the channel owner, they would place the writing where it wouldn't block important content and this is happening in many videos. Also, it seems as if whoever is putting the text up isn't hearing exactly what is said and that is partly why a lot of spelling is off. It's very annoying, just like auto correct on tablets, it changed Corte t spelling a s words for wrong spelling and totally different words.
If those can only be found in proof sets it means they were minted apart and on purpose,so no waste no time looking for it due to inside job.
