Diagnosing a starter and solenoid on a zero turn mower

- In this video we diagnose a mower that is starting intermittently. The mower clicks but will not start. Sometimes this condition can simply be a bad battery or poor connection with some of the cables (even the ground). Often charging or replacing the battery and adding dialectic grease to the connections can help remedy this situation. Here we eventually need to replace the starter.

I have a Country Clipper Jazee SR200 with the joy stick and it's pretty much doing the same thing. I touched both connections on the solenoid together with a screwdriver and it started right up. So I'm going to take the solenoid out then up it back in to see if the problem is with the solenoid or the starter. Great video thanks!
When my mower breaks down at the bottom of the furthest paddock I need to tow it with the AWD. Dude, you have a forklift. Much respect for being on another level. Thanks for the clip. Good info.
That’s a skid loader brother not a forklift 👍🏾
Great video. FYI- To test continuity no power can be present in the connection you are testing.
hey mate cool video like the camera work and thanks for the tips - learning from making mistakes is the best way to learn
My problem exactly thanks for the video bud. Good job.
Hey I really like your RUclips channel 💪 You do a great job Thanks
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback.
At least yours is making a clicking noise I have bought a solenoid and new battery and still nothing. Thanks for the share hopefully it's a fuse and not the battery. I'll ask the girlfriends brother
Thank you !!!!
Could you just come over and walk me through it?! 😂
Enjoyed the video, and it is my exact problem with a Toro Titan, including dying like yours did. My question is ... what made them die if its the starter? At least I got most of the yard done before it quit. Thanks for the great video. i'll check out the channel!
What tools did you use to remove ? Is it just two bolts ?
I'm going thru the same stuff on this Husqvarna zero turn that seems to start after a fresh solenoid but then fails and just clicks as it has been previously doing. Another one D105 has blowing fuse issues. Any idea would be awesome.
Two very important things: Make sure you have a strong battery and all your connections are tight (the battery, frame, solenoid).

Ahahah chicken went into defensive mode
That’s not defense mode lol! It’s ❤❤❤
If the starter was bad, why did it quit running when you were mowing?????????
I think it was out of gas, but I was so flustered because it wouldn't start again I didn't think to check the fuel tank.
Isn't the first test on the starter relay switch and the solenoid that your wife laughs at on the stater motor? The solenoid kicks the starter teeth to flywheel and starter more turns motor, meaning the starter motor is ok but the solenoid was bad..........
You’re killing me homes doesn’t it have a seat switch or do you already have that bypassed because you had the seat up out in the field and the PTO pulled I think you’re forgetting some steps when you’re testing stuff sir.
taryl has a cheap easy fix for this
Which is?
by adding a second selonoid to your starter, which is a ten dollar fix on a very expensive starter@@joeysanchez5926
