I used this a week ago and didn’t put the basecaot on and the nails popped right off instantly. Thank you for sharing, now I can do it the correct way
You can also use nail prep dehydrator and nail primer before base coat to make it more stronger.
You need a base coat for pretty much everything. Polygel, soft gel, hard gel, BIAB, acrylic, soft gel tips, color polish etc. the only thing that doesn’t need a base coat is some brands of Japanese soft potted gels.
I like Gellike 6 in 1 for a base coat because it also works as gel glue for soft gel tips as well as a BIAB and blooming gel.
If you lightly buff the surface of your nail with a file, wipe off all the dust with a lint free wipe with alcohol and then use a nail dehydrator and primer (letting each coat dry before putting the next product on top of it) before your base coat that can extend the life of your nails as well. I also like to lightly buff the inside of the full cover tip where it’ll be in contact with my nail, wipe off all the dust and put a thin layer of primer on the inside of the full cover tips too. Modelones sells a set of primer and dehydrator for a reasonable price and that’s what I use.
This made me realize I did the same thing wrong last night 🙈 trial and error lol
Is it just called base coat? If I walk into a cosmo store?
I'm just learning all of this... what is the difference between this and polygel?
❤great work ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉 as a cosmetologist I am very impressed !!! Thank you for this post & proper application
Thank you so much😊😍
Great tut! Will this work for colored extensions or do they have to be clear?
Thank you❤. I really want to try this. It looks easier than holding down the tip for a flash freeze during a gel X manicure.
Yes I agree. This is where I got it bornpretty.com/products/born-pretty-5g-solid-nail-tips-gel-transparent-function-gel?_pos=2&_sid=846a3aada&_ss=r&ref=rosediy13
Do you use primer or dehydrator
Just ordered 😅 Excited to try it!
Thank you🥰
what does the underside at the tip look like tho? seems like it would be chunky instead of smooth unless you use a nail form
Did you cure it?
Yes
So I don’t have to cure it with led lamp light after applying the gel glue to all the nails?
@@christinaariola-slaughter8351 it says at the end of applying on all the nails to cure them for at least 60 seconds
I would if you do a lot with your hands or want them to last
All gel has to be cured, if it's not cured properly, then you can develop an allergy to the products so make sure you cure for the given time on what ever product you are using.
Can this glue application process be used with press on nails?
Yes, I would just cure under a UV/LED lamp
Only if the press on nails are sheer so the light can get to it. If they are completely opaque, the light can't get thru to cure the gel.
Wow! Looks great ! 😘❤️
I dont have UV lamp is it important?? Also whats the base coat pls reply
@@asmaali3465 You need that lamp for either acrylic or gel. Only old school nail polish doesn't need UV light. It's the most important investment if you want to do your own nails at home. They're not that expensive though. Mine was about $80.
The solid glue is it the same as acrylic nails base?
No. Its different
I think the brand I bought said to cure after applying the solid glue?
Yes it needs cure
How do you remove it later on if it doesn't pop off?
Soak in acetone for 10 mins
If they are polished, then make sure to file thru the top coat and then just soak off with acetone, which can take up to 20 minutes if done properly. Also if you use what they call hard gel, then it won't soak off at all. You have to file off hard gel.

You did this sooo fan good girl 😅😜 I used base coat and prepped and everything and mine keep coming up I don't know what I'm doing wrong lol 🤣 I'll figure it out tho 😅
Did you wipe your natural nails with alcohol before you start? To remove the oil from the nail plate
Same here. I cured the base coat under UV lamp for 1 minute prior to applying this and still they all popped off
