There’s something about these EC boards that I keep coming back to for typing and work in general. For gaming, I’ll still go MX. But, even though I type a bit slower on EC, I really enjoy the experience of it.
Personally, I like the 60% keyboard the most. And if you use vim, that should be enough. But 60% keyboard of Topre or Niz EC is nothing but HHKB. And I gave up on HHKB because I hate the backspace position of that.
@@percy9228 Most of the 60% keyboards are 61 keys. The most representative keyboards are anne pro or pok3r. There is no arrow key, but you can use it conveniently if you map it to hjkl(vim style) or ijkl, wasd.
For programming I recommend a tenkeyless layout. When you begin to use the Home and End keys it's super useful. Learning to going in front of and to the end of a line of text is INVALUABLE.
Hi! Since i hear a little more clacking from the Leopold, is the difference in sound noticeable (in terms of loudness)? Im looking for a topre-type keyboard that also is a bit quieter than my current mx red. The Niz sounds really good, but the build quality of the Leopold also looks interesting 🤔
I am so bloody torn. managed to try the aluminium version of the niz plum(45g switches) at a meet up and loved it to bits, but absolutely hated the stock hhkb i tried there. I dont know what type of topre switch the hhkb used but it was honestly such a let down, i think it wasnt the silenced version though because it was really rattly and unpleasant sounding. Regardless do you still think I should go for the niz or leopold? Ive heard that leopold is different somewhat to hhkb
The leopold is a steel plate unlike the hhkb, but the switch is same topre, so the rattling sounds won't be any different. I recommend niz rather than topre because niz feels like removing the rattly sound from topre.
I don't usually play games. However, I recently played Vampire Survivors. Neither of them had any problems with this kind of game!😊 As for fps games, I can't tell you because I have no experience.🥲
I use FC660C for work and ATOM 68 for personal use. I have other keyboards, but these two are the main ones. Since each switch has different charms, it is difficult to distinguish between superiority and inferiority. However, the finish of the keyboard is neat Leopold. 🧐
The Realforce has Topre TKL keyboard! Leopold is actually a South Korean distributor of Realforce, they planning and producing only layouts that Realforce does not have. In fact, Leopold's Topre keyboards are made in Japan, so we can guess that is order maded. Since TKL is sold by Realforce, it will never be released on Leopold.(maybe🤔)
I have 45 g EC atom switches and I would not recommend going any lighter than that. When you begin to "break in" they keyboard the rubber domes become a LOT lighter. My WASD keys are literally pillows. Feels awesome. And this is someone who wants the lightest switches possible.
fc660cのケーブルA to mini じゃないですか?
A to B miniであってます!字幕ミスりました😱😱
ごめんなさい、教えて頂き気づきました。ありがとうございます!
Underrated channel, you deserve more subs, love the simple editing and clean style :)
Keyboard:
1. Leopold FC660C Low Noise(Silenced)
2. Niz Atom 68
It's stock, no lube
I love my NIZ full size, it has nice "bass' to it, love the feel. best of all keybaords.

i'm going to study computer science and I was wondering should I get the 68key or a different keyboard? thankyou! I also thinking of learning vim

@@auditorycoder which 60% keyboard would you recommend? is 60% keyboard meant for 60key keyboard?

ngl for software engineering keyboard that don't distract is the best seriously. and awesome idea to learn vim
love niz (and topre)

The loudness is a bit different, but it's still quiet! Leopold's build quality is overwhelmingly good. (Instead, the price is doubled😅😅)

Do you play any games? How are these switches for gaming
I don't usually play games. However, I recently played Vampire Survivors. Neither of them had any problems with this kind of game!😊

Which one do you prefer, sir?

Niz Atom sound more thock, is it real? I'm looking for a thock keyboard, from Italy :(
niz sounds really deep irl. enjoying my atom68's sound)
Yes, definitely Niz is more thock!
topre has a better feeling, niz feels mushy in comparison imo
Which version of the niz atom is this?
It's a version of the Korean keycaps made to order by a company called Hansung. This is a variant of the Atom68 EC-Bluetooth 45g.
Wish they would release the Leopold Topre in a TKL version :(

they do? It's called the FC660C. It's in this video

Niz definitely sounds better to me. But authentic Topre vs Topre clone... that is the question.
Niz is definitely good! But when I go back to the Red switch, what I sometimes miss is the Topre. But I think this is a matter of taste.😋
@@auditorycoder topre and niz do feel different. Topre feels more “organic” hard to describe
for a programmer would you recommend 35g or the 45g on the niz atom?
It's totally a matter of personal preference. I use 45g because I'm a power-typer!
@@auditorycoder what is a power typer? do you mean you like typing with force? or that you like typing fast?
@@percy9228 It means with strong force😂
