CPS needs to worry about kids that are getting beaten and starved and neglected. These people my have some challenges but I have no doubt that they are the best people to raise their own kids.

The same thing happened to me and it sucks, but luckily for me my mom taught me how to talk, read, write and do the same things that everybody else can do. But some people don't see that, they just see the way I walk and go "You're disabled ?" "Why weren't you born normal ?" There's no such thing as normal, what you think is normal is actually from your perspective.

He's frustrated because they have to keep an eye on him and he can't drink and abuse her the way he wants to. That's what he finds so frustrating. He has to treat her like a human being. I love her and think she is amazing, however, she should NOT be without someone at ALL times.

Those poor kids are more than likely with some foster parents who only want the check that they get for "taking care" of those kids. People who don't care about them. My speech is not afflicted ,but I chose not to have kids because I was afraid if I did I might be in the same situation. She should be praised for the lesson she is teaching her children and that is that anyone can accomplish anything they set their mind too. Also, her child and step-children will learn that people should not be judged by what is on the outside. After all its the heart and love that we have and how we choose to present that to the world that matters, I wish them all the best! And I will pray for them.

It's the same situation with special education. It's driven by money. Many kids in special ed are way too advanced for it whether or not their disability is physical. Such teachers get paid more than their mainstream ed counterparts. A good example of this is myself. While I don't have a medical disability, I'm often mistaken for having one. Having survived a minor leg injury during a fall on a DC Metro escalator at only age 10, which left me with a permanent limp when I walk (bone and tendon injury). When I returned to school, having attended regular ed prior, I was plunged into special ed, even though it wasn't necessary. The limp was the only excuse the school needed. They disregarded the doctor's report and forged one of their own claiming I had a medical disability/brain damage. Luckily, since I had a comparison, I managed to peacefully convince and prove my way out of it and back to regular ed. It took a long time though. A lot of people didn't believe me. At least I had my doctor to deal with the school for me. It was a tough battle for him though. It didn't get straightened out until I got into high school.

I had a classmate from elementary school to high school with the same condition. Every new year at a new school, we had an assembly to educate everyone about his condition. We all understood it wasn't his brain that was damaged, it was the connection between his brain and the rest of him that was damaged.
This has got to be a joke, and it's sad people think they deserve kids. First off he is 55, that's already old, then add that he had a alcohol problem and most likely other drugs. He maybe has 10 more years of life and what if they make even more babies? She couldn't even get the hot dogs in the pot let alone put any water in it, it's already a fire hazard. This is just the worst case scenario of people trying to raise kids, I don't care if they are together, but bringing in multiple kids is not fair to the kids

jade bitla I'm 25 my daughter's dad is 40 I can say that this lady being CP and meeting him at 31 when he's 55 is all.the proof I need to know he's an abuser and alcoholic just like my daughter's dad. he has told me he chose to be with me because I needed him. i was on crutches with a broken ankle needing surgery and homeless when we meet because my grandma who raised me died and I had no place to stay and was living in hotels and motels with my savings. I made the biggest mistake being with a older man and now am al alone in the world 35 weeks pregnant with my first child and going to be homeless if I can't find a place to stay because I have to get away from him. I really hope this woman is no longer with that man and can get her children back and a caregiver to assist them. everyone I'm the video is saying he is a good man and they never seen him hurt her but they only see what they are allowed to see they don't know what goes on behind closed doors. my daughter's dad doesn't act up infront of people he waits until we're alone to yell at me and put me down.

Having survived a minor leg injury during a fall on a DC Metro escalator at only age 10, which left me with a permanent limp when I walk (bone and tendon injury). When I returned to school, having attended regular ed prior, I was plunged into special ed, even though it wasn't necessary. The limp was the only excuse the school needed. They disregarded the doctor's report and forged one of their own claiming I had a medical disability/brain damage. Luckily, since I had a comparison, I managed to peacefully convince and prove my way out of it and back to regular ed. It took a long time though. A lot of people didn't believe me. At least I had my doctor to deal with the school for me. It was a tough battle for him though. It didn't get straightened out until I got into high school.

Just because the CPS are looking for cases, it should NOT give them the RIGHT to make people's lives miserable.
I have disability too and I am through the same way and the cps worker think that I can't take my kids and this not right at all, it's not fair at all

I had a classmate from elementary school to high school with the same condition. Every new year at a new school, we had an assembly to educate everyone about his condition. We all understood it wasn't his brain that was damaged, it was the connection between his brain and the rest of him that was damaged.

This has got to be a joke, and it's sad people think they deserve kids. First off he is 55, that's already old, then add that he had a alcohol problem and most likely other drugs. He maybe has 10 more years of life and what if they make even more babies? She couldn't even get the hot dogs in the pot let alone put any water in it, it's already a fire hazard. This is just the worst case scenario of people trying to raise kids, I don't care if they are together, but bringing in multiple kids is not fair to the kids

It's very dangerous.i know she's improving and she's doing such a great job as a mom and a wife but you don't have to put yourself in danger to try to prove something.

On top of that you guys need to face reality. Because of her disability she can not care for her kids alone. Yes her husband is there.. But he is hiding his alcoholism im sure. And those two situations places those kids in danger. Wake up people!
Notice I mentioned disability and not "retarded." Because I know it is no longer used. And an alcoholic in recovery is able, if he is in recovery.
jade bitla I'm 25 my daughter's dad is 40 I can say that this lady being CP and meeting him at 31 when he's 55 is all.the proof I need to know he's an abuser and alcoholic just like my daughter's dad. he has told me he chose to be with me because I needed him. i was on crutches with a broken ankle needing surgery and homeless when we meet because my grandma who raised me died and I had no place to stay and was living in hotels and motels with my savings. I made the biggest mistake being with a older man and now am al alone in the world 35 weeks pregnant with my first child and going to be homeless if I can't find a place to stay because I have to get away from him. I really hope this woman is no longer with that man and can get her children back and a caregiver to assist them. everyone I'm the video is saying he is a good man and they never seen him hurt her but they only see what they are allowed to see they don't know what goes on behind closed doors. my daughter's dad doesn't act up infront of people he waits until we're alone to yell at me and put me down.

monay monay a broken ankle is not a disability... at 25 you should already be self sufficient by working a job everyday like any other adult, now ur say you allowed a 40 yr old to manipulate you when you should have know better urself. Birth control is free all across America. Do not assume you know her situation from this short film cause none of us knows cause we are not there with them. Back to you I would suggest you get some therapy and reach out to maybe some church organizations who might be able to assist you with housing or simply go to a family shelter to have ur baby and get a job to get on ur feet.
