You're one of the only youtubers I know that makes "gear talk" both informative AND entertaining. But even if you stick to shorts, I'll be here for every one of them. Much love, brother.
My guy, you should pick up a Jazzmaster. The neck pickup is gorgeous for mellow, warm, and smooth tones, the bridge pickup is jangly and bright without sounding too brittle, and the middle position is the perfect balance between the two. With that being said, I’ve definitely been enjoying Strats far more as of recent. I started off playing a strat clone that was too bright and thin for my tastes and assumed that Strats wouldn’t be my thing. I then picked up a 50’s player strat with fat 50’s pickups and a roasted maple neck along with a 60’s jv strat and those both see heavy rotation from me.
Jaguar Both are chimey and twangy and each has good bass response. The thing I hate is there was no Stratocasters (until the 1980's Elite Stratocasters) had on/off selector switches. No excuse after the introduction of the Bass VI. Remember the changed the Precision Bass twice because of the Stratocaster. The Stratocaster recieved no updates learned from the other Fender models until the weird Fender Elite Stratocaster of the post CBS ERA. Jaguar used to have functional Mute that also stabilized the bridge. I like the way the mute adds another tone to Your Jaguar sound. Sincerely Mike B. B. From Philly, P.A. U.S.A.
start is bookmark jack off all trades if you go with hss you have humbucker you have single so already something from LP and tele and as bonus mid pickup also you can buy fender strats with factory mounted in floyd rose or if you want to go full hot roded 80' strat but charvel or jackson jaguar is more focused on some parts of guitar
@@jamiebowles4588 yeah because the Jazzmaster was aimed for Jazz musicians but they weren't playing it but surf musicians embraced the Jazzmaster. Leo Fender ended up talking to the surf musician's about how he could improve the Jazzmaster for their style and took all that feedback and created the Jaguar.
Stratocaster because of its high amount of character of tone and versatility of tones. It's unmatchable. I myself have a fender professional I series i recently got and it has been quite a joy to learn and get accustomed to and play in general experimenting with the pedals I have. Edit-i know collective criticism is always welcome so long as it's not disrespectful. Jimi Hendrix
