I love watching ski jumping but here in the states we're lucky to see it even during the Olympics.. are there any sites to download ski jumping coverage from?
janne could have easily reached 245 or more in this jump, about 10 m before his landing, he tries to get it down. If he had continued without backing out, it would have been even longer (but possibly even a little more painful)..
schlierenzauer is of course the one who could most likely do such things but romoeren? in his current shape i think not. i hope he is getting better again, at the start of the season he won and i thought that may be his return but then it somehow didnt work anymore. that new guy, antonin hajek is also an awesome flyer

He also said that`s why he fell...because he drank the night before...he couldn`t finish well the jump and that`s why Bjoern`s jump was taken as World Record..did Tommy Ingebrigtsen join them with those 24 beers? he fell too XD... Even if I better like Bjoern it would be nice to see Janne back , i heard he may be returning for the Olimpic Games :P
I am/was skijumper and i know how dangerous it is... two years ago in the training i took too much speed and jumped about 155m in oberstdorf(HS137) now i cant jump anymore because i broke 3ribs my right arm and both of my legs...!
@Namolis 1.st off all Planica is tradition ! Ski jumping is PLanica ! in year 2016 in Planica will start building hill which will alove jump long 295 m. And who made Vikersund ? Slovenian ! we have very good information abaout vikersund. eat yourself. ! Planica will always be the quen ! welcome ! See ya in year 2017/18 ! peace !
ich denke aber, dass er größere chancen gehabt hätte, den Sprung überhaupt zu stehen... Denn er wäre nich so runter"geplumst" Ähnlich wie schlierenzauer in vikersund ICh bin zwar noch nie gesprungen...^^ Aber ich würd sagen das dis vlt. dich ausgleicht mit dem flachechen land
Somebody should note that the Planica Valley just happens to be the most beautiful venue for ski flying.

not only did Ahonnen reached the limit, he jumped over the absolute limit
The limit is 245m coz the hill had numbers to max 245m and now the new hill has 255m meanwhile Vikersund has to 260m

but perfect video, it was the most interesting ski flying competition ever

PLANICE, THE ONLY PLACE WHERE YOU CAN SEE A MAN FLYING WITH NO PARACHUTE 239 METERS AND LANDS WITH NO INJURIES xD.

Janne olis lentäny lähelle 250 metriä mutta siinä olis varmasti käyny paljon huonommin koska isku olis ollu vielä paljon kovempi.
Olis tullu suoraan tasamaalle jossei olis pakottanu hyppyä alas. Mäki loppu kesken

Because of stupid jury shorting the gate before his jumps in 2003. That year Adam jumped 225m from the lowest gate with speed 98!!
