I remember this game had zero fanfare on release. If not for seeing it in a random sales paper, I would've never known it existed. Shuffle remains a cherished part of my childhood, but it's without a doubt the redheaded stepchild of the post-Adventure titles.
This game came out between Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2. Some of the OST from this game made it to SA2. Heart of Heat played in the cutscene before the second Sonic vs. Shadow fight.
Each player having their own vmu made it cool hiding your cards. This footage is a lil glitchy but it's nice not having to sit through loading to see them
So I want to eventually post a video of all the cutscenes of this game. I would have to replay the entire game to do so. Should I record the entire playthrough as well, would you like to see that? (the cutscenes together would still get it's own video).

Please! The story is so underrated! I hear soooo many people cite Sonic Battle, Adventure, Adventure 2, World Adventure, and Black Knight as the best Sonic stories ever but never this game. Heck, people say that Merlina was the first morally gray villain but no! I never see Void in the discussion. It has a message that not a lot of stories talk about: like yeah Star Wars and Kingdom Hearts talk about how you need to balance light and dark within you but never how you actually deal with evil and good.
Shaking a soda can and putting it in a vending machine so when someone gets the shaked can they get sprayed in the face is the most dastardly thing Eggman could ever do

One day, Sonic & friends walked onto a Mario Party board, they ran into Mario & his friends and kicked out the game, and that's how Sonic Shuffle happened.
I despised those button-mashing mini-games, seemed like no matter how fast I pressed the buttons I could never come close to winning, the final train one in Riot Train was the worst because I knew there was no hope of me getting that final emblem so I just had to make up for it by getting more emblems elsewhere.
Not to be the contrarian, but this game doesn't look that bad. The only issue I had with some of these games was that I couldn't tell what the object of some of them were. I think people don't like this game because of just how similar it is to Mario Party

Well, they sorta did. In Sonic and the Secret Rings, there’s a party mode, and it’s actually pretty fun.
