- Having a top 3 rouges gallery in DC, Flash has a good amount of villians who could be a threat to him, facing his first ever "super-villain". The Flash comes with many speedster villains and other characters who will one day form the Rouges and constantly interfere with his life. Making things personal for the Flash.

Definitely the Rogues. Or at least one of them, because we’ve already gotten tons of hero vs dark-reflection for the first fight. Why not Trickster? Captain Cold? Mirror Master? Or Caption Boomerang? Or heck any of the Captains!
I get so tired when people keep on saying Captain Cold is just a Mr Freeze clone, HE IS NOT, the Flash TV show made me realize how cool he can be
I was a fine of Captain Cold BEFORE The Flash show.
I heavily disagree, the show actually made him seem generic and dumb. Not surprised considering they can’t even get Flash himself right
Captain Cold is such a cool, underrated villain (pun intended). Leonard Snart is an interesting character who doesn't get enough recognition and has an interesting dynamic with the Flash. Captain Cold actually has a lot of respect for The Flash and everything he does, and Flash respects Snart and the other Rogues since the majority of them are just middle-class guys who want to get rich, not take over the world. Leonard Snart also holds onto a strict code of ethics that he shares with the Rogues, and his relationship with his sister, Lisa Snart/aka Golden Glider, is pretty sweet. He genuinely cares about her since both of them had a rough childhood with an abusive father, and Snart had to look after his sister, which makes him a more fleshed-out character. The Rogues are perhaps my favourite villain team in comic books in general. I love how this team of villains has a code of ethics and morals despite being criminals and ordinary guys with tech going up against the Fastest Man Alive. Not to mention most villain teams like the Legion of Doom, Sinister Six or Suicide Squad they usually have members back stab one another, however the Rogue's are actually genuine friends that treat each other like a band of brothers, sort of like a supervillain Musketeers. Plus, the Rogue's dont want to take over the world or erase people from existence. They just want a big score and are just normal thieves with superpowers.
Yeah especially since that before Crisis on infinite Earths Golden Glider was a dangerous threat to the Flash that she try to mess with his marriage and made him kiss her in front of reporters and I would have her being in the Justice league cartoon where she is part of a Injustice league that she and the Silver Swan (Helen Alexandros) would be the only female members of the team that they would have a sister type relationship that she not only hates the Flash but I think she would definitely hate Wonder Woman the most as that she and Swan had very bad childhoods while Diana had a good life and never understand or even relate to as she lived on island without a father and never had work for anything also on tumbler she is probably the anti Batman
Yeah dude, me personally agree with you, 'cause I love the Rouges so much and think they have some potential to be the best villains ever. Well, for me, of course, hehe.
I really wish Flash got better media because he’s my 3rd fav superhero with Batman and Superman being higher. Hopefully someday writers will realize that treating Flash as a plot device is such a ridiculous thing and they need to realize he’s a really interesting character with an underrated rogues gallery
To be honest, the Tomorrowverse give us the best Barry Allen.

I think Captain Cold is the obvious answer but when I made my own DC Comic Universe I had is canonical first villain Reverse Flash , it makes sense to open Barry’s story with him solving his mother’s murder and learning how to get faster while trying to catch up with Eobard. I can’t wait for more of these. I hope Wonder Woman is next
I Love Ur Concept !!!!! If you rework the Flash's story like this you could then say "The Turtle" had been watching him for some years before they become foes (slow careful thinker) so he was ready, and being he is a Turtle he would be someone that would stay solo. Personally I think Captain Cold/Turtle/Mirror-Master should be amongst his core enamies....

I’d argue you can’t have just one first villain for the Flash, specifically Barry Allen. Reverse Flash and Captain Cold should both be the first villains, they’d test Flash both physically and mentally without him knowing. Beating Reverse Flash after finding out he murdered Barry’s mother would give Barry closure on her death, and Captain Cold would be a villain that would allow Barry to realise he needs to slow down in order to beat him.
My perfect flash trilogy is captain cold in the first one, the rouges in the second one, last but not least reverse flash in the third one. What would be your ideal trilogy for flash.

I'd say for spiderman and daredevil it should be kingpin, as all the crime they deal with indirectly hurts kingpin

Yea I was thinking myself that Captain Cold and the Rogues would be perfect villains of a first Flash movie. What I also always found interesting about Snart and what adds another layer to him is the fact that he has a moral code and doesn’t kill. Or at least he doesn’t kill civilians when performing crimes lol.
My vote goes to Weather Wizard. He could be the one responsible for the lightning bolt that struck Flash in the first place!

I disagree with your story. One of the major benefits of the rogues is that they have rules such as not killing. Having a vendetta where captain cold is trying to kill the flash seems like wasted potential.
Understandable. But even though I'd have his goal to kill Flash, it's obviously never going to happen. It just keeps him going with a "hopefully one day I'll get him" mentality. This doesn't mean he can't or won't grow out of that though.

I'd say Weather Wizard or Mirror Master. They would be a great challenge for a beginner Flash.
I'm gonna be different and say The Top would make a great first villain for The Flash. He's honestly the perfect example of a Flash villain, a gimmick villain created in the 60s when comics were for children and he's very silly. A criminal obsessed with tops who taught himself to spin so fast he can deflect bullets. It's ridiculous, it's impossible, I love it.
The New 52 introduced the idea that The Top had a connection to the Speed Force, explaining his super fast spinning abilities. Roscoe actually died in the mid 70s but came back in early 80s with the ability to possess people including Barry's father who nearly died in a car accident (this was decades before it was retconned that Nora died and Henry was put in prison). After Identity Crisis, it's revealed that The Top had possessed a comatose body in order to come back to life and that after Iris' death, he dug up her body resulting in Barry snapping and sending him to Zatanna to turn Top into a hero, but it just drives him mad and he gains mental powers which he uses to make some members of The Rogues reform. Wally removes this brainwashing and The Top removes his brainwashing of the reformed Rogues but then he declares himself the leader of The Rogues before Cold froze him and shattered him in retaliation for what he did.
I think his connection to the Speed Force without having just straight up speedster powers makes him an interesting first villain for the Flash. You could even have him be an older character, someone who has fought speedsters before since Barry is not the first speedster or the first speed force user in the world making Top an actual challenge in Barry's early years due to his experience fighting speedsters like Barry. Later, you can take the idea of him trying to control the Rogues, allowing Cold to usurp him making it clear Cold is a more dangerous villain than Top is.
The top in silver age I built a bomb that will blow up half the earth I'll be just fine because I'll be on the other half runs away super fast. He also has one thing that Barry doesn't he has fun doing this, he has no major goal he's doing crimes because it's something to do, so I guess Barry can learn how to just enjoy stuff from the top.
Captain cold would be my choice as well. Plus the obvious Reverse Flash but he might fit better as someone that comes along after time and really surprises the Flash, and deals a big blow to his entire persona of being the Crimson Comet, saviour of Keystone City/Central City.

Im making a pretty intense rewrite of DC & Marvel characters for a mash-up universe. Im trying to reduce the quantity of similar tropes by combining them & using the excess information to give volume to character’s origins, personalities, goals, relationships, etc. One of the things Im doing is fleshing out (minimizing & clarifying) each hero’s rogues gallery and how those villains relate to the hero’s arc & theme. I decided that an ice villain fits Flash the best, so Im trying to combine Mr Freeze with Captain Cold and your idea for Snart’s origin works well with my idea for rewriting Mr Freeze:
A tragic genius who needs to illegally procure resources to save a loved one, but the hero foils their plan. This affects their chances to save that person, so they become vengeful and mutate (intentionally or not) to better suit their ice based arsenal. That loved one is somehow saved (in my case the hero helps them), but they gain abilities and become villains as well (I combined Nora with Killer Frost to make a star-crossed frosty duo. She gains her abilities due to attempted murder and wants revenge).
That’s cool but I would just write my own universe at that point.
if Hawkman, Martian Manhunter Zatanna, Green arrow and others going to rise in popularity they need better villains.
Ive always considered Captain cold the equivalent of Lex Luthor to The flashes Superman.
Captain Cold sees flash not as some extreme that needs to be erased but someone that he does have to get rid of (not kill but put aside) Snart isn't as obssessed over the flash but he knows the score and can recognize the scope what the flash brings to the world.
In the Flash volume 1 new 52 when Barry runs too fast he creates ripples through out time there for requiring him to limit how fast he runs so I think that’s a good way to make him less op for his Villians

The best Flash villain for the first villain is The Turtle.
Captain cold as his first villain. It goes like this first flash fights him as just a guy with a gun flash wins easy. Then cold builds the cold gun flash wins barley. Then flash keeps getting stronger cold says I have to up my game makes the rouges, the rouges beat the flash but let him live. Cold as a guy that has to raise to the occasion keep improving just to keep up with the flash
magic is the way to go a good thing that can really match speedforce
I like your version of Leonard but like the thing is I think it might be a little to close to Dr.Freeze bc of the cold powers and someone close to him has cancer
Can you do a video on a potential DC version to the Spider Society whose job it is to maintain "the canon"? After many Crisis events, there are bound to be handful of people who remember things before each Crisis reset. Some of them even being refugees of past universes that have been destroyed or reset after a Crisis occurs. Eventually, they would form a group dedicated to policing the Multiverse to prevent incursions and travel between different universes to maintain The Canon and prevent a new Crisis event from happen. They ensure that Canon events that are supposed to happen would take place no matter what and abnormalities with be dealt with with however extreme measures deemed necessary. They are not part of any govt or any Justice group or villain group as they are composed of both heroes, villains, and others with memories of past universes before each Crisis event restarts the status quo. Morally, they are chaotic neutral. However, they finally decide to come out of the shadows and reveal themselves after the whole fiasco with the Batman Who Laughs, Negative Universes, and DC Death Metal event and its conclusion. Who are their potential enemies? Batman would be top of that enemies list because of Batman Who Laughs alone. In fact, they would blame him for the entirety of Death Metal and deem him a multiverse threat that needs to be taken out.
1. The first ideal villain for Barry Allen/The Flash should be Mirror Master. Mirror Master defies physics just like Barry does. Flash's speed & everything he can do with it, has no effect on Mirror Master's powers.
2. The first ideal villain for Classic Wally West/The Flash should be Psycho Pirate. Wally has a special & strong connection to The Speed Force & he has such iconic feats. Psycho Pirate could manipulate Wally by showing him no matter how fast Wally could run, he couldn't escape being trapped in The Speed Force, & couldn't run fast enough to make it back to the people he claims he loves, his lightning rods. Psycho Pirate could manipulate Wally & make him feel guilt & shame cause he saw his family as a burden & would rather seem "trapped" in The Speed Force than be with them any longer. Psycho Pirate would pose,"You can outrun the universe & Barry has outran death, & you have this strong & special connection to The Speed Force, but you couldn't escape it?" Really?
Captain Cold is a good option.
I think the dcau get right the flash’ speed, he is fast but not invincible.
I Personally Prefer The Flash And The Rogues (Captain Cold, Heat Wave, Trickster 1, Mirror Master 2, Weather Wizard And Golden Glider) To Be Frenemies
The Flash's rogues are really cool, but realistically, none of them apart from the speedsters and psychics should actually be a direct threat to the Flash. Captain Cold is a human, with human reaction time. The Flash should be able take him down before he even slowly draws his gun. And the ice shots fired would be too slow as well. The way you make villains like him a threat would be if hostages were involved, and there were bombs hidden throughout the city. The Flash would have to find the bombs and remove them before they detonated, a true test of his speed. It's similar to Lex Luther's plan in the first Superman movie. He launched two nukes going in the opposite direction, and Superman had to fly fast enough to stop both of them.
No absolute zero slows the flash down to slower then cold he can catch bullets for that reason and he can also catch a punch from the flash. So With the cold field up its two average speed people fighting

Captain cold is the main villain. that's why he was chosen as Flash arch enemy for super friends and be part of the Legion of Doom. i didn’t like why heatwave was part of the remaining villains on JUstice League Unlimited finale.

He's always been precieved as a Freeze clone. I don't think what I did made it any worse than it has been for him.
And then we he got his Cyrokenesis, I remember many people say he's a Killer Frost Clone. So he's in a lose/lose situation it seems.

Auqaman first villain would be Ocean Master or Black Manta. but for Martian Manhunter that's difficult since you mention it i need to read his title volumes.
Glacial speed is still speed, so at the end of the day Captain Cold is still a speedster to me.

Like? Cause I think Flash's rogues are overrated. Glorified B/C lister type of a rogues gallery. None of them comes close to Lex Luthor by himself. Same with Darksied, Doomsday and Lobo.

@tombstonerforever9374 None of them moves the needle. Grodd is cool, Captain Cold is cool (no pun intended) but the rest are literally C tier. Captain Bommerrang is apart of the Suicide Squad for a reason.

@@cactusblack5993 Flash has very unique villains, each come with their own set of abilities or weapons. Superman villains seem too similar for the most part.
