I am excited but also concerned. It only seems like there are romanceable NPC’s and villagers who exist to do jobs in the village (logging, mining, etc.,). I enjoyed being able to form relationships with non-romanceable NPC’s. Like, even though I wasn’t the biggest fan of RF5, I still liked talking to both Yuki and Randolph a lot.

I love that we can get to know deeply all the characters before deciding to date them (though I will be dating the other protaginst I have a feeling), and that there is an interaction system. The build mode reminded me a lot of Dark Chronicle (Dark Cloud 2 for NA peeps) which maybe made me too happy 😍 I can't wait to purify some DIRT around the world as well 🤣
That was one of the most important points for me!! I didn't like that I basically had to stay "strangers" with anyone that I didn't have any romantic interest in. Now we can have wonderful platonic bonds before choosing a marriage candidate. And yesss Kaguya x Subaru all the way!! Those two are the canon pairing for me! haha
I like that we can develop close bonds first. I felt that in 5 with the inclusion of same sex relationships we sort of lost close friendship bonding from my experience. By the sound of it, this issue has been resolved. More in depth combat? yes please! monster taming? Yes! I usually like to take at least one companion and one monster pet along with me when adventuring. (6 honestly sounds like it would be too crowded, but I'm glad the option is there) Wait so I can romance all the characters I want? I wonder how multiple partners influences the children mechanics or can you romance multiple characters but only marry one. I don't mind going yuri harem route. My origal plan was to create a save file for each one. xD Sad about no anime OP. I liked those.
Director confirms that you’ll be able to date all 15 characters at once. RF5 had this too, but the probability of getting your confession to be accepted will decrease the more partners you have. We have no confirmation whether this mechanic applies to GoA as well.
Yeah, the jump to all characters being romantically interested in the MC at once felt pretty jarring to me. It's nice to have the option for close friends and *then* choose to move further (if I'm interpreting this correctly).
I'm debating whether to get this game on the switch or steam. All I know is that I'm definitely getting this game! I started playing Rune Factory 4 on the 3DS so I was excited for Rune Factory 5. I got it when it released but felt somewhat lacking that I didn't finish the game despite me preferring the bachelors in 5 than 4. This game looks so much in depth that I'm committed to finish RF5 :3
Having kids again is confirmed?! Awesome. I feared they ditched that. For me in farm sim games this is always a nice conclusion to the overall experience. If you are interested in the romance mechanics of course. Do you know if there are unique villagers in the game you can befriend aside the 16 romance characters? So far it seems to be only the random villagers you can appoint to certain tasks.🤔

I appreciate that they put more into the romance side, but I hope it's not at the expense of the other townies being blank NPCs. :c I love being able to interact with townies when they have their own personalities, it makes the town feel cozy/homey. And hopefully fleshed out the LI characters so they aren't overly flirty 100% of the time. Especially after marriage, cause dang Rigbarth was full of home wreckers, you can't have just friends, I guess. 😂🤣
@RandomAnagram. Now that I think about the less chances I see for unique villagers like we had before in RF games. We have 4 different villages. One for each season so that would mean they either find a reason how in these villages there are always the same people or there would need to be unique villager for every village. I think they just opted out of it because its too much work and they want to highlight the romance candidates more. They seem to travel with you all the time.
@TheDrakim I wouldn't expect every town to be totally filled with interesting characters, makes sense for there to be some generic NPCs to fill in the other towns to not be/feel so empty, (because running around town to town to befriend a few people each day could get annoying) but at least some in the main village that were already there would be cool, and we don't really see any townies yet. Maybe it's just barebones demos right now showcasing off the more important parts to get engagement from the players, though. I'm just happy that it looks like they have a grid placement system for furniture so I don't go around throwing things obsessively trying to align them properly. 🤣
