Boys never grow-up, our toys just get more expensive! 😄
Those who die with the most expensive toys win, why, because it greatly enhanced our visual experience.
Wish they'd made this in the aluminium extrusion design format, so that could've easily added it to a motion platform other than their own poor one
I recently picked up the stand and couldn't be happier. It has so many places to mount various hardware. I would like to mount my Alpha under the top plate but haven't found an option for that yet. I finally have my sim hardware in a more orderly setup (and have actually retired some I really wasn't using anymore). I plan on adding the seat later this year which is going to giver even more mounting options. 👍
Very cool!
I use a NLR F-GT sim rig with castors and combat flight pack for my MSFS 2020 flying; as well along with Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo and Logitech Pro Flight rudder pedals; happy with all my peripherals; considering NLR Commercial Boeing Edition one day if prices reduce. Thanks for posting Mark!
Mark - you know that right hand plate can be turned 180 degrees and mounted further back behind right hand arm (like you fudged it with the Bravo in the vidoe) without any messing around removing the mountings underneath and/or using those flat head bolts - which prevent the bravo from sitting flat on the plate. That plate has mount holes for the bravo so you can attach it directly with no need for the clamps. Apologies if you might already have figured that out by now.
An excellent review and guide Mark and good videography
This is a great hobby!! I really want to get into it
Hi Mark, I have this setup too, but i have it configure different to you, and it just goes to show how much you can configure this setup to suit your(MY) own needs. I fly mainly Commercial jets and Space sims.
The only thing i found lacking on longer flights i make is 'Arm Rests'. So using the holes on the side of the seat frame, i fitted Arms either side, and thes arms fold backwards to allow un obstructed entry and exit, like you, on the left side.
I can't praise this setup highly enough.
PS. If you want to know where i bought the folding armrest's let me know and i will gladly send details.
I do want to know ! The lack of armrest is the only thing restraining me from purchasing it
I Bought A Flightseat A Couple Of Years Back , With My Honeycomb Alpha + Bravo And Foot Peddles Mouse Plate And My 3 way Articulated Keyboard Arm Its Hard To Get In And Mostly Out Of . - I Liked That You Could Swing Things Away So You Can Get Into And Out Of The Seat. 8 )
I have the Next Level Racing foldable seat but my next seat will be in the order of this product.
Very happy to have found your channel today. Perfect content delivered in a very measured manner.
I’ve been saving for years for a PC and it’s getting close to purchasing time. I’m torn between so many decisions. VR vs big screen with eye-tracking is my latest dilemma. Waiting for the new Meta to be out to see if it’s any good first
Sensible approach
Beautiful sim setup! A dream for every MSFS 2020 user who want more emmersion.
Very nice Mark. This is what I’ve been looking for! Thanks for posting!
The Warthog mount…is that from Next Level Racing too?
It comes as part of the kit…one with the stand and another with the seat.
@@SimHangerFS excellent thanks mate. I’ll be ordering one over the weekend! 🙂
Hey Mark I just want to say hi and I have really been enjoying your videos. Your passion and dedication to flight sim is awesome to see and I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos to share with the community. I’m not sure if you are a real world pilot but if not I hope you get up on a discovery flight. You’d love it. Getting my pilots license after simming for so long was so rewarding. And you don’t have to worry about haptic feedback 😊
Ex-pilot (small GA) 25 years ago 😃
Funny how my Bravo and 3 Logitech flight instrument panels remain mounted on a ikea end table with castors (also have my heavy hauler button box with cb mic for my truck and farm simming 😊 😊
SOLD. Just bought one and it arrives in two days time. Thanks for the review.
Hello, are you happy with this rig?
Thanks Mark. Wouldn't you be better with the seat closer to the monitor. I know you use VR mostly. Cheers.
The TET5 works well from this distance, but usually I use a much larger monitor (43’’), but it gave up the ghost recently 😬. 75% of my airtime as you know is in VR
Thrustmaster Warthog is not the best in the market, the stick is good but the base has plastic moving parts that wears out, mine got play in it pretty quick.. Virpil and WinWing are on another level and you can use thrustmaster Sticks on Virpil bases, and you can also change springs and cams to suit your liking and for heli/space or aircraft flying.
Mark, thank you very, interesting video.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your set up. I'm going to get back into flight Sim again, you'll be my point of reference, on what to buy and how to do it. Thank you! 🙏
Looks fantastic! A real pro setup. Just a few questions...
1. Does the single monitor stand have the option of being brought more forward closer in?
2. Is the desk part of the flight stand pro adjustable? Can the height be adjusted more lower or is it fixed?
1. The monitor stand is extra and can be moved closer. 2. Can be adjusted, mine is at lowest setting.
Thank you very much for this video. I just set up my next level racing flight stand pro. Your modification for the Throttle was brilliant! I was wondering how I could place the throttle on the right position. I kept hitting the throttles with my G2 VR headset 😂
Nice video have you tried maybe to fly 737 PMDG in MSFS2020 with fs2crew, makes flying even more realistic when comes to pilot cooporation
Great review! This is a beautiful set up. I have one question if you don't mind...do your shoulders get fatigued while flying since there are no armrests?
@@AirMorgan. no they don’t, a numb butt occasionally 🤣
@@SimHangerFS thank you, Sir.
TOOLS NOT TOYS....THANK YOU......GREAT LOOKING SIM....
My next purchase thanks!!!
I like you but , you should say for the Thrustmaster Hotas , that is ok because you have not tried a Winwing F16ex because you would say man , I should have switch before :) Same for Ruddler , its ok what you have but Thrustmaster TPR is someting a bit more lets say :) , But again love your Videos , you have skills :)
Thanks, I have the Thrustmaster TPR. They are on my Motion rig and brilliant.
Great review, Mark...as usual!! This setup looks like something I might be able to configure in my application where my computer and desk need to be able to support multiple functions over time so I found your guide very useful. If you don't mind, what is the assembled width (side to side) of just the main stand? I'm excluding all the removable/adjustable arms, brackets, etc., in this, so just the main "triangle" stand portion? Any units accepted...I'll do the conversion! 🙂
Circa 72 cm
@@SimHangerFS Awesome...thanks so much for taking the trouble, Mark. Looking forward to your future videos as well!
Nice setup! How do you see your flight instruments though wit them being so far away. Also, I find I need second and third screens to get charts up and vatsim etc.
I have a 32’’ screen to the side not shown in the video.
Hello Mark, what's your set-up dimension please? I am trying to see if it fits in my office. Thank you for the great work you do for all of us flight sim lovers
Hi, I have now changed to the Flight seat/stand Pro. You need circa 2m x 1,5m to accomodate the unit.
@@SimHangerFS Thanks Mark
Brilliant review Mark! The yoke looks quite high and far away from the seat though. Is it possible to position it in a lower position and closer to the seat? Thanks
Hi Mark, Thanks so much for all your informative videos. Could you please let me have the dimensions of the NLR flight stand (footprint without the chair wheel tray) and the height? Thanks so much.
It’s on the NLR website. Link below the video.
@@SimHangerFS Thanks. I wasn’t able to find it on their website but I did chat with Alex from NLR who provided the information. The NLR flight stand will be too big for the space I have available so I will have to get the NLR Wheelstand 2.0 that is a bit smaller. It may need some modification to fit the Honeycomb yoke and throttle but hopefully I can make that work. Thanks again for all your helpful videos.
Stop doing this to me now I have to decided between flight seat pro and NLR military and sim lab u should do a review of simlab there an american outfit so dunno if they send one for review.
Thanks for your video, very explicit as usual, just a quick question as I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, is the seat back adjustable back and forward and is the seat on a slide. THANKS
Yes it is on a slide and adjustable back & forward! 👍
@@SimHangerFS Thank you for your quick response, one last thing I understood in your video that it was better to buy the chair and the stand separately to have the maximum number of elements, and is the central articulated arm for the joystick The helicopter is supplied with the chair. THANKS
@@emmanuelguibe4629 best to buy it as a complete unit. Comes with mounts.
@@SimHangerFS thank you for your reply
Greetings Mark. I really enjoy your videos and straight forward reviews and tutorials. Your videos have helped me in many ways.
Could you please tell me... Which NLR Monitor Stand are you using in this video?
I cannot seem to match what I see in the video with NLR monitor stands listed.
Thank yu for your assistance to the community. V/r John😃

First. Salute from Spain
Hello Spain...I love Spain!
Hi Nice video. Could you tell me if the plate that comes with the stand on the right side will move far enough forword, so that the honeycomb throttle is in a comfortable position. Thankyou
No it will not. You need to be creative and mod the unit unfortunately.
Thankyou for the quick reply. Maybe they will come up with something eventually.
I wonder if u can answer would the wheels fit onto the NLR as they only have short stops on the bigger cockpits versions?
Hi Mark, may I ask what keyboard you use please? Also do you prefer wireless mouse/keyboard or wired?
Thank you
Regards
Andy
I use an ASUS keyboard, wired, my preference.
Thanks Mark appreciated 👍
Thank you for your video.
Question: is the plate where you have your stick on the left in front of the keyboard placeble a little lower or has it that position only?
Is the angled support you put for the Honeycomb Bravo included with the stand? THANKS
I’m praying to the Lottery gods to pick numbers 😂
Or just start a YT channel…every creator seems to have been sent one! The rest of us plebs gotta spend cold hard cash lol
Hi Mark, I have the flight stand pro which is excellent, but I actually quite fancy the Boeing commercial seat to go with it, please would you be able to tell me if (once the foot plate was disconnected from the Boeing seat) would it connect to the seat connection points on the flight stand pro? Thanks
Unfortunately not. I checked.
The way my room is layed out, I would need to access the seat from the right hand side (Bravo Throttle side). Can this be done easily, or can the rotating plate be mounted on the right side? Thanks for your reviews and comments.
No it would not rotate out. Not practical. Access via the right side would be okay, just don’t have any side plates mounted. If you do…not practical unfortunately.
Thanks for the info Mark. Your channel has a lot of great information. I'm glad I found it. Happy flying!@@SimHangerFS
Which rig would suggest for 100 percent WW2 prop sims?
Whatever you do don’t order direct from Next Level Racing. Ordered nearly 3 weeks ago and never shipped. Had to reach out to them to cancel and they still haven’t refunded me.
Sorry to hear that, hopefully they will read this and expedite.
@@SimHangerFS thanks! Keep making the great content I really enjoy seeing all the new products.
Before I buy this, a concern. It looks to me like the shelf you would mount your yoke on is too high. In a Cessna 172 for example, the yoke shaft is about 25 inches from the floor. This looks much higher to me. Can you mount that shelf lower? I guess some yokes could be mounted under it.
What I’m showing is the lowest. Also look at the flight stand pro.
Thank you for you video. I just bought the Flight Stand Pro and based on your example, I have mounted the Honeycomb Bravo same way. I have Thrusmaster Airbus Sidestick that I want to mount in the center as I fly mostly Diamonds in sim and real life. I am trying to find out how as this is not made for that? Do you have any advice on this?
Why not get a motion rig for VR?
Next step….😊
Hello Mark. So what is the best rudder pedals in the market?
Virpil?
Best regards
They are good, but expensive, best bang for your buck is the Turtle Beach Rudder pedals. Review video on my channel.
@@SimHangerFSI have the turtle beach Yoke, and is bad… real bad. I just can’t control fine pitch. Absolutely no more this brand.
So what do you think is the best without a doubt?
@ricardograde5134 The yoke from TB leaves much to be desired, but the rudder pedals are much better and my choice at the moment.
@@SimHangerFS thank you for your opinion Mark 👍
Hello Mark wonderful video as usual but to get these to Canada will cost almost their price for shipping and customs . I know you fly with VR a lot and I followed your videos spec8ally for the revereb 2 G2 . I am still getting dizzy and it is not sharp pictures as everyone says my desktop is recently upgraded and I do have a new nvidia card Rtx 4070ti . I did follow your recent video but still with this problem any advise is highly appreciated 😊
To help with VR sickness see this ruclips.net/video/lAwyQ74kU-A/видео.html
Thanks Mark I believe it is my settings more than what in the videos , I do have the prescription lenses which you mentioned as well over my Reverb 2 v2 VR set . I did follow your setup for the computer but I believe I did something wrong that results in non clarity I can send you my computer specs and my settings in both msfs and VR there might be something wrong I am doing . If yes what is the best way to send them . Thanks a lot
Hi Mark, one last question re: the flight seat pro if I may please. What is the height of the seating cushion please? EG how high are you sitting from the ground. Also if you happen to have it by means of a comparison, would you have the height of the seating cushion on the Boeing seat please? Thank you for your time. Andy
Both are 450mm in height, floor to top of seat.
Thanks much appreciated 👍
Mark, please wear a decent pair of trousers. 😂
They were my best shorts ! 🤣
How tall is the stand? And are the legs on that monutor stand wider than the stand to allow the screen to slide cmoser?
Not available for purchase. Out of stock.
Hi Mark, question about the warthog if I may. I have roughly the same set up as you. However I haven’t purchased the warthog yet to go on the mechanism in the centre of the foot plate. The reason im hesitant purchasing the warthog is because it seems to have a large square plate connected to the bottom of it and I wanted to check if that detaches? Watching an unboxing video it seemed that the large square plate was hard connected to the base of the joystick and then the joystick screws in. Please can you advise what I need for the Center plate retractable joystick plate? Thanks.
Hello, the base plate can be removed via 4 screws. That is what I did.
@@SimHangerFS Hi Mark, can I ask have you had any problems with MSFS recognising your warthog joystick or warthog throttle and any problems with TM firmware updates? Thanks.
@@simpilot2k143 none at all. Recognised as soon as plugged into usb
Does the yoke mounting plate raise and lower? Does the seat?
Yoke plate …yes…seat no.
Can you add 2 more monitors?
The unit does not come with a monitor mount. This is an additional purchase. Check out NLR monitor mount. It has one that you can add another one or two monitors to.
Would you be able to use just the seat for flight sims and racing? I would need to be able to mount a wheel, and have my HOTAS mounted at the same time. I mainly play racing games, DCS, and IL2. I don't see myself ever playing MSFS. Would the NLR Boeing setup be better in my use-case? This rig is about $450CAD more than the Boeing rig.
Boeing rig is best for your use case in my opinion
@SimHangerFS Excellent. Thanks for the reply.
Hello, what monitor stand are you using for the rig? I purchased the whole setup, bit not sure if I have the right monitor stand.
I use a NLR monitor stand.
@@SimHangerFS Ok. I have the NLR single monitor stand, but maybe I have to take the wheels off for it to fit around or under the stand pro.
@@blaw8500 I have one leg inside the stand and one on the outside. Bit of a hassle but worth it when you are done as it requires some disassembly of one of the monitor stand feet. Alternatively turn the stand around 180. This lets you get closer.
@@SimHangerFS I will try that. Thank you so much for your help.
