    Great vid. and commentary. I've fished Montauk a few times with waders and then later in a wetsuit. The wetsuit is a Game Changer! you don't need to swim to crazy rocks, but it gets you into those rocks a bit and you don't have to worry about the waves coming over you.

    My dad used to take the kids deep sea fishing and I used to camp at ditch plains boy scouts surf there too good memories keep fishing

    So many rocks still use 30lbs braid? How long is your leader? Thanks

      Yea 30lb braid i had about a 3-4 ft long leader of 80# mono.

    @Bobbybaitz Question- when the wave crashes and rolls....are you throwing the bucktail behind the wave as it crashes or in front of the wave as it rolls ??

    Other than a NYS fishing license, do you need a permit to fish and park out there?

      For parking in certain spots, you do. But all the main lots are good with no permit.

      ​@Bobbybaitz the empire state park pass is 80$.worth it being that we jump from park to park to find em.from jones beach to mtk park is state parks that charge 8 to 10 $ to park
