Uh, not really(idk how to start this) but in kpop, the total number of their fandom was what makes their songs popular. You can actually see many groups out there with a lot of bangers but they don't have that many fans (due to unpopular company and lack of promotion). So the views aren't actually doing us justice. I literally feel bad about other unknown groups.
there a group called SEVENTEEN please react to it.
there are called as king of synchronization of k pop

in this video u can see there synchronization and also there songs

I think the slight problem with this chart is that it's not exactly accurate to the times? For example BTS would not chart until about 2016 and all the previous installments are because they blew up later.. so this is not necessarily songs that were huge at the time but more like songs that have accumulated views up to now. For the same reason a lot of groups seemingly disappeared out of nowhere when they are still active to this day and were huge even in those years!
exactly
i agree this was a cool chart but one thats based in the now. if that makes any sense haha. i think a chart based on the actual year these songs came out would have actually had b.a.p and other groups
yess
exactly
@@melody3629 agreed, a huuuge difference between what it really was in the korean charts vs how it is now. plus, music videos don't always translate to how they do in the charts either. bigbang released still life and got over 100 real time all-kills but if you're going by the mv then the differences could be huge. i love bts, but they didn't chart over quite a few other groups when they debuted, their mvs just blew up when they did. we also may have seen groups like infinite or highlight, probably more of ikon, maybe jyj. it's hard to say now without going back and looking at the charts themselves.
I'm so happy Stray Kids got your attention! They are really up and coming and I'm so proud of their growth over the years. I'm sure you'll enjoy their music! If you like rap and EDM then Stray Kids is definitely the group for you (even though they make some amazing ballads and pop tracks too).
Stray kids world domination!!!
@@xandria3408 i mean stray kids everywhere all around the world, right?
@@juliana_melo straykids will be on now slaying the world
Glad it's not just me🥰
Stray Kids are well established now. Definitely not up and coming anymore. They're one of the few groups keeping JYPE alive atm
For Stray kids I can personally recommend react to God's menu, Back Door, Thunderous, Venom, Victory song, Maniac
I would recommend some from the beginning days as well but sure
YESSSSSSSSS
I would also recommend easy and MIROH too though they’re mostly rap
Christmas evel too!
I would also recommend freeze
EXO is in hiatus since 2019 due to mandatory military enlistment. (2 members were done, 3 are currently inside and 2 are to be enlist this year). Their album Don’t fight the feeling in 2021 was just a thank you gift for the fans thats been waiting for them. EXO were never promoted in western countries. Their biggest fanbase is in China, unfortunately they have their own social media apps, so their views in youtube doesn’t include the views of their chinese fans.
EXO IS SHIT, SO...
They had a comeback in 2019 and special gift album in 2021 but that’s it
@@gwenmloveskpopandmore DFTF is not actually a comeback album but more of a gift album to the fans that's why they mentioned EXOLS to give thanks at the end of the video.

As someone whose been into kpop for a long time, I got to say, ARMY worked hard to get the older BTS videos to have higher views. BTS only really hit it big in 2016 so all those other years, EXO and BIG BANG were always on top.
I still remember when "No" came out and I was so into it but no one knew who BTS was...ah well their growth was pretty fast
Exactly 💯
Then you're one of the media's victims
That's true.. EXO!
I agree to this...I'm an army form 2014 and it was so hard to hit views army's work really hard to make it and exo and big bang were bop at that time
same, I remember going around school asking if anybody knew what kpop was asking if anybody knew Exo, seventeen, snsd, bts, etc and they would all say no. When I asked they would say “do you mean kids pop?” now when I ask they say “oh you mean BTS?”
Btw to explain this is not an accurate list. The views that are listed here are acquired from recently. It’s basically the most viewed music videos of those years from this current year. That might seem confusing, but to explain this list is more like a reflection of the CURRENT popular groups. For example, it took a while for BTS to blow up, so if the music videos’s views were taken from the actual years, then they wouldn’t appear on top 5 until somewhere 2016-above. After they got popular, their fans naturally checked out their older stuff which greatly increased the views. Keep this in mind for the girl group’s lists as well. Thank youu
i think dope or i need you first noticed song

super junior, tvxq, bigbang, and shinee are actually all still around! even from way back in 2005!! bigbang actually just came back with a new song and shinee had some bangers last year. a lot of these groups have to go on hiatus for a while because of south korea's mandatory military enlistment laws, so almost all male kpop idols have to leave for about 18 months before they turn 28. that's why you'll often see long breaks between certain songs, or members missing.
@내꺼 they know that, but they were talking about the present in that context i believe.
most of the old group still around this days like tvxq, super junior and big bang. they might not be as famous as before but they are still relevent and still have stong fan base. recently big bang released a new song after a really long hiatus, and it proved their greatness again after all this time by charting so well on the charts.

You will never go wrong with EXO. Their vocal, life performance, and discography never disappointed
So true

yes i really miss them
Yes,! EXO!
Finally Stray Kids!! Please react to their songs (God's Menu, Back Door, Thunderous, Maniac, Easy, Domino and etc) ! They have one of the strongest rap line in the whole kpop not just among 4th gens 🥰
I love 4th gen groups, but 3rd gen was an introduction for me to K-pop and was the best era of K-pop for me.
2nd gen was a pre-introduction and 3rd gen was rlly the introductions towards kpop for me TvT...best era it is, ngl I kinda miss the old days too-
@𝔹𝕃𝕀𝕋ℤ💬 Well, I knew only shinee back then, but i really like them
So true, 3rd gen really hits different :( many kpop in 3rd gen got famous and had an iconic songs with iconic dances😁
Yesterday EXO had their 10th year anniversary
the cool thing about stray kids is that we have 8 vocalists & 8 rappers. since we also have a producing unit among the 8 members (3racha - consisting of Chan, Changbin & Han) you never really know what they will do next. 3racha has written, produced and arranged more than 90% of their discography.
Even though Kris, Luhan, and Tao have left EXO and even though many of the EXO members are doing their military services, I'm never gonna get over them. Like, they have some of the best vocalists, dancers, and they just always deliver. They're always going to be one of my ult groups. Even though many say they are out-of-date nowadays, I'll never be able to forget them. They'll forever be one of my all-time groups.
Same here!
We are one saranghaja🤍🤍
Fun fact: The Shinee song "Ring Ding Dong" was banned from being played on TV and radio during certain times of the year because that is when national standardized college qualification exams were being taken. The song is such an earworm (a song that gets stuck in your head and won't go away) that it was a huge distraction for the students so the government stepped in to do something about it.
i can see why lol
EXO vocal and live performance are another LEVEL
EXO is legend, even the fandom is getting bigger during their hiatus era. This group has actors, models, soloists, producer, etc. I mean they are famous especially in kdrama and kmovie world
Tell your idol make your own songs please, I will except it 😉
@@FLEPPEE lmaooo they've written several songs themselves. even if they didn't, it still wouldn't take away how big and important they are in kpop.
EXO and Shinee will be never stop being iconic
10 years have past since EXO’s debut and they haven’t lost their influence
They have one of the best discographies in kpop esp if u like RnB
@@-amel-9896 idk about that since last EXO’s comeback wasn’t promoted at all and wasn’t even a proper one (special cb) they have no group activities since 2019 but their tickets for their 10th year anniversary fanmeeting today in Korea sold out in 0.5s so
Also influence doesn’t have to do only with Korean charts
EXO 's latest comeback didn't get any promotion. It just released and sold over 1 million albums without any promotion. EXO released their song OBSESSION in 2019 and then after long time they released DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING in 2021 july. Don't fight my feeling song's MV was also not very good and had a poor CG even though their MV in top 5. EXO's members are going to military so they couldn't make a full comeback. If they got to promote their album well then we can imagine that will be a hit
@@-amel-9896 maybe yeah you are right about they already passed their prime peak. Today is a BTS day. But when you compare EXO and BTS today or Bigbang today, It just not feel right. Because BTS are still promotion right now in big big promotion internationally. While EXO were hiatus for such a long time. Bigbang literally make a comeback like people comment here before. While EXO just make a song with unproper production and no promotion. Only as a gift for their fandom. Not for all people. Maybe lets see in the future if it possible they can promote like BTS or make a comeback like Bigbang.
@@-amel-9896 EXO has had no promotions whereas bts bigbangs new albums have been ridden with promotions. Even then EXO sold over a million albums. You can’t compare them to bts and big bang coz they’ve gotten the top on the same charts as them without even a half of the same promotions of their counterparts.
@@R0lI nah exo are old news now
Super Junior, Bigbang, EXO, Shinee= long lasting talented groups.
YES!!!!
Nice Joke
Yes! they are!
@@ksaewa No.
I think you forget world most famous band (BTS)
You should check EXO. Yesterday they complete 10 years of debut! They are known as the vocal kings of Kpop. They are the first million seller in 12 years. The first soloist million seller in 19 years. They have a record of fastest sold out concert in 0.2 seconds. They are under SM entertainment, same as Super Junior, TVXQ, Shinee, NCT…. So you can see that SM have great artists!!!!!
The reason that you see a lot more variance in styles from Big Bang compared with other groups at the time involves creative control. Big Bang was the first group to have almost total creative control over their own output. Up until that point, everything was up to the respective group's management companies. Big Bang was the first group that wrote and composed almost all of their own songs, came up with their own promotion concepts, and everything else. They were the ones who popularized EDM styles in Kpop among other things.
BTS absolutely CAN and DO create wholesome music, but they definitely talk about A LOT of different topics with their music. Their debut, No More Dream, was about ignoring all the people who say you have to give up on your dreams (like pursuing music), and instead work to get a "safe" job (like becoming a lawyer or something). Their next title track, N.O. criticized the strict Korean education system, asking why adults are making children step on each other's backs to be the "best". Spring Day is one of the most emotional songs you'll come across, about missing someone (why you miss them is up to your own interpretation, but the song was inspired by a tragedy that happened in Korea). Blood, Sweat, and Tears is about an extremely toxic relationship, and you KNOW the relationship is toxic, but you're addicted and can't bring yourself to leave it. Their Love Yourself series spans across 3 parts, starting with a relationship that felt like destiny, that was perfect, where the people loved each other very much, turned into the "protagonist" realizing they started changing theirself for this other person, and they couldn't recognize who they were anymore because they put their real self away to be someone fake for the person they loved, and this lead to the relationship ending, and the final part of the series is the protagonist recovering, and learning they needed to start learning hoe to love themselves. Life Goes On is from their album at the end of 2020, which was about the pandemic, and it was a song about holding onto hope, and that the future would be brighter than the present.
so... tl;dr (lol), but BTS don't limit themselves to one genre or topic and their discography is VAST and so, so good. Their lyricism is top tier, and they've always had a hand in writing/producing their own music, so it's very genuine. That's what they became so popular, because they are extremely talented, yes but what they sing about SPEAKS to people, and you just feel really connected to them because of it ☺
EXO🖤 A FAN SINCE 2013 "THEY ARE THE STANDARD FOR ME"
Yes, same here!
Stray Kids are so unique! You’ll love their diverse self-produced discography!!💕
This gave me such nostalgia from my teenage years with Big Bang, Shinee, Super Junior, Beast, Ft. Island, SS501, TVXQ 🤧❤️
Actually a lot of those older groups are still around. SS501 and Nu'est are the only ones that officially disbanded (and for Nu'est it's VERY recent). But there are MANY kpop groups that debut each year, so longevity is kind of an exception, only the most successful ones actually make it past the end of their first contract (which by Korean law, can last a maximum of 7 years).
If you start diving into kpop you'll soon hear about "generations", so a quick rundown :
- 1st generation are those who debuted in the 90s and basically started the industry ; there's only one group left from back then, called Shinwha, but some soloists are still very relevant, notably BoA and Rain.
- 2nd generation are those who debuted in the 00s until 2011, all the groups at the start of the video are from that generation, and as I said a bunch are still active and release music more or less regularly
- 3rd generation started with EXO in 2012, and they were actually the most successful kpop boy group for a few years until BTS took over in 2016 (BTS's rise was a very gradual one, but it's still ongoing which is kinda crazy)
- 4th generation started in 2018-2019 (we're still debating the exact year) so it's the current one
wait what! ss501 disbanded!? rip now i have to know if ss301 is still alive
@@melody3629 ss501 officially disbanded when they left DSP. ss301 hasn't released anything in five years, so even if they're not officially disbanded they're very much inactive.
Sechskies from the 1st generation still exists as well! But maybe you didn’t mention them since they disbanded and then reunited 🤷🏼♀️
@@maliii266 I admit I had forgotten about them, their reunion 15 yeas later is a weird occurence for sure.
Some say half of 2017 😭 it’s so confusing
I think most of these views are the views today and not back in that exact year. I say this because BTS was not the most viewed from the start. It took them a while to pop off until I need U came out. I'm not sure if I'm correct or not but if I am, these aren't the most accurate to what was popular back then.
Actually during this time Bts hadn’t the most views in their old songs, they gained those views recently since they became worldwide popular
True , because the past generation didn't have a realistic opinion and hating group from the small company. It's how the world work today and now everyone had their masked on.
Yepp
@@Kookiepookie2025 yup but they would still top this ranking because these groups were really famous but BTS wasn't
@@Ryn95673 i dont think that ppl hating on groups from small companies was the main reason,, every group has haters. Bts wasnt popular then bc the lack of promotion by their small company. you really cant blame on ppl for this. or even on their company bc it is hard to compete with the big companies in terms of promoting. plus, ppl hating actually brings more fame ;)
@@Kookiepookie2025 not everyone,They are all talented. Skz are from JYP, Treasure from YG, Exo from SM. It can only be applied to Bigbang, and even then it wasnt severe
EXO is in fact the longest active group of 3rd gen. Their fanbase is mainly in China (which is kind of a downside for views and stuff because the country have their own social medias) and they are biggest group there, they were never considered getting promoted by their company outside of Asia but still became one of the biggest group outside. They are currently promoting solos while members go to the military one by one. They are originally 12 members but 3 Chinese members left making them 9 but now recently Lay(the remaining Chinese member) reportedly said that he left the company but is not leaving the group(don't know how that works). Their next comeback with the whole members will be on 2025(fuckin long). Their latest comeback "Don't Fight The Feeling" was just a thank you gift for the fanbase that's why their company didn't seriously promote it but still hot 1.3M sales.
I believe TVXQ is the longest running group here since 2003-Present even though there are only 2 of them. And next is Super Junior since 2005-Present
I definitely recommend Enhypen, they are a new kpop band and they debuted in 2020. They have amazing songs, the songs sound really different from your typical kpop music
YOU ARE NOT READY FOR STRAY KIDS OMG THEIR MUSIC GOES VERY HARD!!!!
exo make bangers they're definitely a must to react to and have had a huge influence in the k music industry and korea, exo debuted in 2012 that's why you see them a lot in this video
SHINee is very special, they just debuted in 14-18 years old and did very great job!Love them!
seems like you really liked the EXO songs! you should check them out! theyre titled kings of vocals, nations pick, and kings of kpop! they have a very diverse and amazing discography
EXO debuted (2012)one year before Bts and even though since 2019 they on military hiatus, they lost 3 members in 2014 and had many struggles like no West promotion etc they still on top and have a huge fan base till now,the only years they don’t appear in this list was bc they didn’t have a comeback like 2020 or 2022
They one of the most successful Kpop acts ever
Yeahhhhh they still have huge and strong fanbase. Even with many struggles, no promotion, hiatus, members left, they are still wild.
Yes! EXO, still one of the best!
Since you asked if the old groups on this list are still around: TVXQ, Super Junior, Shinee, Big Bang all released songs in 2021/22 so they are all still around they just don't get as many views as the newer groups
The oldest group that still releases songs is Shinwa who debuted in 1998 or something so they have been together 20+ years
A problem with these is that its taking the 2022 view counts for all the songs, so it's kinda misconstruing it a bit. BTS wasn't that big when they first came out in 2013, but fans will go rewatch old videos today. So the view counts of 2022 wouldn't be accurate to how popular they actually were in 2013. I wish it could have the view counts of what it really was back then.
Right
I wish that too
ah i wonder what groups would be there instead if it wasnt based on the views gained over time but rather in that year. then we could also see how many views top mvs would geet back then
AS A STAY I DIDNT NOT REALISE HOW WELL STRAY KIDS WERE DOING IN TERMS OF OTHER GROUPS IN MV VIEWS, DAMN WELL DESERVED
The career of old bands is phenomenal if you want to watch one day, Super junior, shinee, big bang, tvxq, 2pm,beast (change into highlight) continue to make music after more than 10 years.
These are the bands that forged the kpop of today, for me all these old bands can be called legend of kpop
If you liked the RnB sound you should really check out Shinee! They are called the princes of kpop and are pretty much trendsetters when it comes to the industry. They are also looked up to by many many idols who debuted after them and often named when idols say why they wanted to become an artist themselves and they are active and really successful to this day. They are also really really versatile and I think you would enjoy them. My recommendations would be their debut song 'Replay' from 2008 (RnB) and their latest comeback 'Don't Call Me" from 2021 (they go more hard here)! They debuted when they were only between 14 to 18 years old, so even with 14 years in the industry they are still pretty young!
Replay: m.ruclips.net/video/VTASffPQGhY/видео.html (the year says 2011 and not 2008 because it was re-uploaded)
Don't Call Me: m.ruclips.net/video/p6OoY6xneI0/видео.html
Also wanted to add that most of the old groups are still active and actually still doing pretty good. Maybe not in youtube views but they still chart high, sell good and are really popular. Like Shinee, Bigbang, Super Junior and many more. This list might not really represent what was popular during the year a certain MV dropped. It's more like how many views the MV accumulated till 2022 and for example most views for BTS and their earlier releases came in after around 2016. Ofc they are still the most popular which you clearly see in their current views I still wanted to add that part because some groups were really popular during certain years but might not show up in that chart.
BTS didn't release new music yet, they will make their comeback in may.

For rap songs you can listen to bts. Some bside tracks and rap line releases their solo mixtapes. You can start with agustd and d2. They have soo many good songs
So happy to see Pentagon on the list!! They have some vocal powerhouses and their dancers and rappers are so talented! Also just a little fun fact: there's two boy groups still active that debuted in the 90s! Shinhwa and Seschkies (Seschkies disbanded and then reunited so Shinhwa holds the title of longest running kpop group with 20+ years!!)
I'm crying in my heart everytime I see EXO. Look at them fighting and stay strong after all these years! They've done and been through so much. I'm just happy and proud of them. They deserve more love in this world. Not just they give amazing talents but they also emit kindness. We all EXO-Ls know that EXOs are kind. I'm still waiting for their comeback as OT9.

Hi
K-pop is interesting genre which includes almost every single genre in music, everything combined in a great way, featuring stunning music videos (at least most of the times). That's why it's interesting and refreshing for many people.
But if you want to learn or just to know the history of K-pop don't take those type of videos too seriously. Why? They don't give a proper view. You assumed that most of the groups here are not around anymore, but as you already know, they actually are here and still make great music.
I've discovered k-pop through TVXQ in 2011, and I was shocked by their videos, but the music and their talent has stolen my heart. After that I've discovered many artists, and today I can proudly say - TVXQ and EXO are top tier groups and my ultimate favorites in music, not only k-pop.
Also, just to point out that this bandwagon with views shouldn't be taken too deep. Fandoms stream. And when the fandom is bigger and younger, they have more streams. We, people with family and work don't have time and energy to do it. We just love our favorites and enjoy their music.
I think many people are obsessed with views nowadays. But let be objective. Super Junior for example. (oh, man, I love them). They debuted in 2005 and were very very big. The first K-pop group which targeted the Chinese market and became very successful. And they are till now, but fans who were 20yo in 2005 are more than 30-35yo today. We have families, dutties, kids. You can't expect we to stream 24/7 the newest song, right? However, last week Super Junior has held 3-days event in Japan!!! which was very very successful, you can do some research. They also released a beautiful single album 2 weeks ago and it was in TOP10 saled albums on Korean charts.
Please, excuse my long comment, just wanted to give a different point of view for all these numbers.
Excuse my bad English and I hope you understood me.
Have a great Sunday!

Bigbang, tvxq ans super junior are still active but don't have the same amount of views as new groups, but the fanbase is still strong.
Super Junior said they understand this since their fans now have jobs or are married can't stand the same way as before, but they love the effort we put into supporting them. And SJ is in the top 10 of relevant bands today. They just celebrated their 17th anniversary.
BIGBANG appeared on the lists when they had comebacks 2006-2008 , 2009 MV was to promote a cellphone brand , 2011-2012, 2015-2016. In 2018 they released one song with no promo / no video . Finally 2022 one song with music video but no promo 🥲 . I don’t know how we survived in comparison to other kpop groups promotions but we do 😭
It's funny to see that the #5 song from 2005 only has just under 1.5 million views, but now a bunch of videos have over 1.5 BILLION views. RUclips has totally changed the way people consume music and entertainment.
I wish they make videos kike these but with the actual views count of that particular yr not the cumulative views over the yrs cuz honestly there will be some major changes ! It would be more interesting
If i have to recommend a 4th gen boy group in terms of music it would be TXT and ATEEZ their discography are insane
skz are FIRE too
I love how looking at the bar there are huge spikes in views at the end for skz tracks hehe
I love theese kind of reactions because you can find out what group you want to try listen to as well :)
I find it odd that Seventeen is not on this list considering they were the only group in 2021 to have two number 1 albums. Is one of the top sellers of boy groups and has won several awards that many of these other groups have not won. It kind of makes me sad cause they literally have some of the best songs in Kpop self produce, compose write and choreograph. They also are the best dancers in Kpop with the best synchronization of all the groups. They also are a group that made it past the 7 year mark. Which is when most of these newer groups get disbanded. They also are always ranked high right alongside BTS and EXO. On the social charts and are one of a small handful of groups that is always making content. Whether it be music, variety shows or their own series Going Seventeen. I know everyone has their own opinions and not looking to start fan wars but I think Seventeen is a much better group than some of the ones that made this list.
i know what u mean but we all know that the list here was made for the most views which led to how fans stream the mv and not based on album chart or the creator opinion on their best mv choice. dont get me wrong or anything, i love seventeen too
All this have nothing to do with the title of the list which is MOST Viewed Music Videos on RUclips for each year.
You should react to SHINEE....They are still active...debuted in 2008 with REPLAY as you said RNB, please react to their recent comeback "DON'T CALL ME " Mv released in 2021...
The male groups have always resonated more with me musically. And they are all worth the deep dive, the talent is just phenomenal. Enjoy!!
StrayKids are the BEST🔥 4th gen leaders, they never disappoint with everything they put on the table
These groups are all from big company. You should also check out groups from smaller company which are considered to be the best but not most viewed Leading is Ateez, Ace Oneus ,pentagon the boyz ,sf9.
best? lmao ok

Loved your reaction 🙌 i would recommend reacting to Stray Kids they are one of a kind 😊 songs like Gods menu, thunderous, maniac, back door

And for 3rd gen i would recommend black swan by bts, love shot by exo, du duu du duu by blackpink, not by the moon by got7, daechwita by suga of bts ( you said you like rap so this is good ), the feels by twice, hip by mamamoo, killing me by ikon, psycho by red velvet, rock with you by seventeen, fantasia by monsta x, hot sauce by nct.
I know I missed a lot of groups. Please remind me 😅
Actually NCT is a 3rd gen group I think they’re just often seen as 4th gen due to the young ages of the members
pentagon and nct are 3rd gen 😄
@Minz ya sorry i got really messed while remembering all these groups 😅
@nurhidayah 🤣🤣😅 ik but got messed while writing i was about to forget writing their song and my sister came to see the list and said, sis where's nct 😅 that's when i added their name, so i guess it got messed
@nurhidayah English's not my first language, so sorry if i made any mistakes 😅
TREASURE is a new group from YG ENTERTAINMENT.. the little brothers of Blackpink. They contribute in the composition and production of their own songs and they're a very talented group. Hope you could check them out more. 😍
SHINee is still active and doing very well today! They are my Ult Group.
Stray Kids did not debut past 2019 or in 2019 they actually debuted in march of 2017 but sadly a member left to personal reasons fans do not know of in november of 2019

YOU NEED TO REACT TO STRAY KIDS.ALL THEIR SONGS ARE BANGERS!!
Yes
It’s crazy seeing the numbers for BTS music videos… when you’re looking at the numbers of the ppl in the same category closes to them are like less than half of the views of their videos. It’s nuts but good that other groups are getting exposure more bc of their influence around the world.. it’s so weird how it all worked out. I’m not saying bts is better than everybody and nobody is as good at all bc I actually really enjoy most kpop groups I’ve discovered but it happened bc of bts …. And that’s just how it works with the whole social media explosion…. I love stray kids, enhyphen , txt… that song by treasure is pretty sick but I’m still discovering as well… def keep going and you’ll find some incredible artists
Its 10th Anniversary of EXO last Friday and Fan meeting earlier
olease react to nct dream's 'glitch mode' and 'hot sauce' and stray kids' 'maniac' and 'god's menu' these two groups are top notch
exo is legend bro. still is until now.
Yes!
EXO comeback soon tho
Me realizing I know all of these songs and I was actually watching them as they came out. K-pop came a long way since I discovered it.
I would say this is more of a "most popular songs released in each year" because it's going by what MVs has the most views now, there's probably quite a differnece to what was popular back then for some years (e.g bts weren't than popular in 2013 but now they are, so their old mvs get views too)
Also, since you pointed out the genres: It's pretty common for kpop groups to have different genres featured in their discography (especially for older groups I've seen "Yes sir, your daughter will be home by eight"-kind of sounds (aka sweet lovesongs) and "Your daughter calls me daddy too"-kind of songs (very sexy, dark, aggressive concepts) from one group within the same year (probably even the same album), either changing their styles over time (txt, bts kind of?) or simply putting out very diverse albums with songs ranging from heat-breaking ballads to hard-hitting confident raps
Stray kids everywhere all around the world ❤🔥 they're so amazing
Is very sad that in this days Views are more important than talent and quality, no matter how good you are if you don't have a huge fandom, you can pass unnoticed by people out of the industry, because on the industry Super Junior, TVXQ, Big Bang and SHINee are very appreciated and recognized as the best of the best until today.
No saying the others didn't work hard or didn't deserve but most of the times having a huge fandom is only what you need.
But let me give you some information Super Junior still very active , the same with TVXQ, Big Bang and SHINee,
Actually I was very surprised that in 2013 SHINee didn't show up because with Dream Girl they win the best male group of the year in 2013 and last year with Don't call me they did amazing like always but unfortunately now quality work is not as important as quantity Views
You won't be disappointed with Stray Kids. They are amazing. Clever lyrics, stupendous MVs, incredible songs.
Stray Kids have unique sound because they produce they're own music
I'm really waiting for SKZ reaction
all their songs are amazing but if I want to recommend some God's menu, Back door, Miroh, Thunderous, Maniac, Venom, Victory song, My pace, Domino and Red lights wich is a unit song will be amazing to react☺😃
for the last clip that appear in this content is the 4th gen of kpop group called TREASURE, this group runned by YG Entertainment and the youngest boygroup in that agency. They're just released their comeback titled "Jikjin" last month so please give much loves and attention to treasure🥰 you'll never regret to stan them bc most of them are crackheads😂
i feel like these views werent necessary just of these times, cos bts wasnt well known until 2015, but it says their songs from 2013 to 14 got high views on this video, its probably becos fans started knowing them n went back to listen to their old songs lot n gave their old vids alot of views years later, otherwise i dont remember bts early songs topping charts the time it released, im sorry guys dont get mad at me, im just stating the facts
you have to take into account, that all the views are from nowadays. BTS were not on the top of the list in 2013 or 2014 obviously, but because they are popular nowadays they have many views on their older MVs as well. So this list doesn't represent the popularity of the songs in the corresponding year. 2012 is when 3rd generation of k-pop started - older groups didn't disappear in that year, just 3rd gen groups became more internationally famous than the previous generation (and thanks to it of course) and collected more views over the years.
15:30 BTOB - pronounced as bee-to-bee - exists since 2012.
TVXQ, Bigbang, Shinee still exist and are still very popular - they are all 2nd generation of k-pop.
And you should for sure check out Stray Kids, they are amazing.
The only really "new" groups on the list are "Enhypen" and "treasure" - they debuted in 2020. Stray Kids debuted in 2018 - those three are the 4th generation of k-pop, all the other groups in this compilation are older.
