I would also enjoy a show with him, great suggestion guys! Thank you for the B Sides Daniel Wang and Telekom Electronic Beats! Would be interested to know what the chord harmonica is called that he uses at 3:37
kay k totally agree 💯. I would like to see techno DJ’s get into more of the philosophy of their music choices and talk about their perspective of music theory (or maybe their abandonment of theory altogether). Whereas I did not dig his choices at all I have respect in that it’s very apparent he ❤️music!
Even when I am not at all in to that kind of music, he is so passionate and energetic that its a pleasure listen to him share his love for the tracks. Thanks a lot!
@edvardthomson7264 - it's two months later, i finally see your message here. Thank you sir! But.. OMG 😲 those are 3 different cities on 3 different continents! How?! You probably fly around a lot!! 😂 🛫
I'm a bit late to Daniel's B-Side episode, but it's the best one so far imho, you can tell he is a top bloke with a real passion for spreading his knowledge and love of the music!! Top man Wang!
This is the best episode. This guy’s passion for music is unrivaled. It’s his world and I can understand how he’s very protective of the industry and scene in Berlin. Peggy Gou need not respond
Watched this again today and what a lovely episode. The comment at the end on "don't let yourself turn into mechanical robots" is so on point. Thanks for a refreshing, inspiring, and sensitive presentation.
You still have the same personality even after all your fame and I love it. Meaning being thrill on various music and all the small details . I also love how you get really into a song and find out who were involved and it’s deeper history,
Love Dexter Wansel and love his original version of Sweetest Pain, which was covered by Loose Ends in the mod 80’s. And which Dexter approves of Loose Ends version.
Shows how much you know about djsi Some of us do research records Hes quite dedicated to music unlike some djs who dont know genres of the music they play Anyway carry on
That’s nifty in theory, but most records, especially these days, don’t really have histories. Every episode would go like this: “So, the interesting thing about this record, the producer produced this on ableton, in his underwear.”
This is such a breath of fresh air. I love the more serious side of dance music and all that it brings to the scene but seriously - we need at least 40-50% more Daniel Wang-ness in the world
I have these records , and I too like them, there is SOOOO much to explore in Jazz Funk, Fusion, been collecting for 3 decades, still finding stuff weekly!
Ah Daniel Wang, one of my favourite DJ's. Always a treat to have him play at a party. He's also very interesting when he shares his musical knowledge, a real disco professor indeed! A very likable guy also who looks great at 50, he still has this boyish charm, I met him last year when he was playing @HOMOOST, a gay night hosted by club OOST, a great club in the city of Groningen, that's in the north of the Netherlands. I was dancing & grooving like a mad man when he was playing. When he was done, he didn't leave, but stayed to dance, When i wanted to shake his hand on the dancefloor, he cuddled me instead, what a sweetheart! (to think that i was all sweaty & half naked). Daniel doesn't shy away to incorparate housegrooves in his DJ sets and productions, but the backbone of all this music is disco. This episode of 5 favourite B-sides, proves why he one of the few Disco Dons, a DJ who always gets me moving & grooving with a big smile on my face. This episode I will defenitely watch again. Great upload!
I want to meet Mister Wang and hear so much more about music sitting in a cozy coffeehouse. Such an incredible cool and charismatic guy. I love this video. Thanks for teaching and entertain us!
I definitely need one these handy harmonicas to determine the key in a song. Clever episode by a great DJ and well suited producer. Hands down most enjoyed episode so far.
What a pleasure that was to watch, and loved his button on the end about building a bridge and not to be a robot! Daniel Wang is amazing, please have him on again!
this was just fantabulous, as was his set at the "Hallo Montag" event at arte last monday, which I enjoyed a lot. so why on earth has this great guy no yt show of his own? get going, Danny!!
OMG! Give Danny his own show now. Such a knowledgeable, energetic, inspiring person. Disco Forever!
would watch.
I was going to say the same! I very much enjoyed hearing him speak about these tunes. It's fun.
My thoughts exactly! He really is a disco professor :))
I would also enjoy a show with him, great suggestion guys! Thank you for the B Sides Daniel Wang and Telekom Electronic Beats! Would be interested to know what the chord harmonica is called that he uses at 3:37
here we are: bit.ly/2xJtT29
Chic….TUNE!!! Great video!
I need to work on my enthusiasm.
:'D
Not everyone can be as enthusiastic as Mr Wang
Haha
He’s like the eccentric uncle you couldn’t wait to hang out with when he came over for the holidays when you were a teenager.
Hahah this is so true
Apparently, I've become that uncle. :P
THIS
He would do very well in a musical Sesame Street segment
Wow, the best episode so far and i am not actually into Disco that much. He raised the bar for this series.
kay k totally agree 💯. I would like to see techno DJ’s get into more of the philosophy of their music choices and talk about their perspective of music theory (or maybe their abandonment of theory altogether). Whereas I did not dig his choices at all I have respect in that it’s very apparent he ❤️music!
lol latter day techno artists have no philosophy!
@@timtrek I wouldn't overly generalize tho
kay k couldn’t agree more
I'm in the same boat but I did like the one that wham used quite a lot. I had no idea that was an older song.
Daniel Wang remind's me of Bob Ross' painting lessons, just as friendly
He should get his own show on Electronic Beats!
he will :-)
done bit.ly/2xJtT29
Daniel is one of the most humble, fearless and solid DJs of all time. He *is* that guy, despite what he will tell You :)
agreed
He’s also this energetic when he DJ’s, a living legend!
Even more so. Playing imaginary instruments n all. Love him.
Great to see Daniel Wang! Such a dude, an inspiration! ✨🕺
Even when I am not at all in to that kind of music, he is so passionate and energetic that its a pleasure listen to him share his love for the tracks. Thanks a lot!
Nerd up! Go Daniel. Jokes aside a big fan and seen you mix up in Sydney, San Fran and Berlin over the years. Respect
@edvardthomson7264 - it's two months later, i finally see your message here. Thank you sir! But.. OMG 😲 those are 3 different cities on 3 different continents! How?! You probably fly around a lot!! 😂 🛫
Seriously people ! I have to watch this every single week. Its so heartwarming and lovely. What a Wang ♥️💋
The world needs more people like Daniel Wang sharing their infectious passion and knowledge of music.
Glad you are sharing sweet B sides Amigo 🎼
I wear my favorite headphones for these occasions. Thanks
Not a disco fan but this guy is great could listen to him speak about records all day
Maybe the greatest RUclips video I have ever seen. Kids, do your homework
there is more Daniel Wang bit.ly/2xJtT29
Daniel Wang told me I was a jazz-funk lover so now I am.
So cute, so informative, so enthusiastic, so nerdy .. so unlike most DJ’s .. love the little tuning pipe
I'm a bit late to Daniel's B-Side episode, but it's the best one so far imho, you can tell he is a top bloke with a real passion for spreading his knowledge and love of the music!! Top man Wang!
Finally, you get someone on who understands the concept of the b side and guess what? He's not a 'techno guy'...
Yeah oops...but this happens when you dont just get known names from one generation...also a bigger pool of memorys to pass on.
this is everything this feature should be ... daniel wang is the truth. thank you.
This is the best episode. This guy’s passion for music is unrivaled. It’s his world and I can understand how he’s very protective of the industry and scene in Berlin.
Peggy Gou need not respond
yes, great guy, great attitude, best DJ 🧡💛🧡
Peggy will not have this passion and knowledge 30 years later.
Give Daniel at least an hour to talk about records he love.
What a well presented and informative episode. Future B-Sides artists should be taking notes!
Oliver Winton totally 💯
We need more Daniel vidéos !! Menanic of soul
I didn't know this guy but I'm a fan now...
what a diamond - Love Daniel and I was a disco malcontent - timeless
what a treat Mr Wang is .
Watched this again today and what a lovely episode. The comment at the end on "don't let yourself turn into mechanical robots" is so on point. Thanks for a refreshing, inspiring, and sensitive presentation.
Pure passion and knowledge and no ego. Respect that.
You still have the same personality even after all your fame and I love it. Meaning being thrill on various music and all the small details . I also love how you get really into a song and find out who were involved and it’s deeper history,
Do you still wave your arms like a bird, when you get a mix just right or on beat with another record?
Love Dexter Wansel and love his original version of Sweetest Pain, which was covered by Loose Ends in the mod 80’s. And which Dexter approves of Loose Ends version.
such a great gentleman with huge music knowledge. those African patterns on the wall are also gorgeous.
Definitely the funnest episode of B-Sides.
Shows how much you know about djsi
Some of us do research records
Hes quite dedicated to music unlike some djs who dont know genres of the music they play
Anyway carry on
More Daniel! good energy
This is how it should be - going deeper into the history and structure of the tracks.
That’s nifty in theory, but most records, especially these days, don’t really have histories. Every episode would go like this: “So, the interesting thing about this record, the producer produced this on ableton, in his underwear.”
Ian Pooly is breaking up the tracks in his show as well!
This is such a breath of fresh air. I love the more serious side of dance music and all that it brings to the scene but seriously - we need at least 40-50% more Daniel Wang-ness in the world
I needed to watch it again today. So nice episode.
would absolutely love a weekly or monthly show of this guy just deep diving into his records like this.
How I love this B-SIDES, GOD DAMN IT!
wow daniel! such a gift! thaaaaanx!
Big Love
I have these records , and I too like them, there is SOOOO much to explore in Jazz Funk, Fusion, been collecting for 3 decades, still finding stuff weekly!
Wang is the man.
Living legend. Thanks for sharing this
Best episode so far, Daniel’s a legend. Pretty much everything he released on Balihu was gold.
This Guy is "Simply" Fantastic!
Totally unpretentious dude, does a really good job explaining b-sides and what this series is all about
Nearly 50 and the love for music has not diminished.
Daniel, please start a weekly podcast and spread the love and deep knowledge! Wonderful ❤🔥

The best B Series EVER!
Daniel, you are a true gem. Thank you for being such a fan of everything music has to offer.

So good! Thank you Daniel!
I can sit in the studio or DJ booth and listen and learn from this dude all day!
This is the best video on youtube. The enthusiasm, the knowledge, the records, the mouth organ, the dancing. MORE!!!
Hate to admit it, but I had no idea that "Celebration" had such an absolute gem on the b-side. Great episode and great to see such entusiasm!
Spanish version if Celebration known as Celebramos is a lot of fun also.
Can't knock Danny's enthusiasm. I'd watch this weekly if possible.
I want to meet Mister Wang and hear so much more about music sitting in a cozy coffeehouse. Such an incredible cool and charismatic guy. I love this video. Thanks for teaching and entertain us!
Wang best teacher ever, he knows what he listens and he loves it too!
This guy really needs his own music show
Love to listen to his entire collection
Amazing!
This should be a series of it's own!

He has his own show here already 😉
This is excellent. More please!
I definitely need one these handy harmonicas to determine the key in a song. Clever episode by a great DJ and well suited producer. Hands down most enjoyed episode so far.

this was just fantabulous, as was his set at the "Hallo Montag" event at arte last monday, which I enjoyed a lot. so why on earth has this great guy no yt show of his own? get going, Danny!!
lumpie lump when you make music for the listener it can get lonely out there!!
