Looking into buying these tires, good to see all the positive feedback!

Great suggestion. Based on this video and a couple other recommendations, just bought them at tirerack. $710 with delivery. Went for an Agency Power exhaust install myself yesterday. Sounds real guttural. Got a Stillen Gen3 intake on its way. The intake/exhaust combo should kick.

I want to note a couple of things. I have been in the tire business to 10 years and I sell both of these tires. You most likely will not break 20k on these tires because of the split tire fitment. when you cannot rotate you tend to get half or less of the expected mileage. Also you are comparing worn out tires to new tires. So, traction, noise and handling will be better no matter what you put on the car. When you are comparing summer tires to all season they both have trade offs. Summer tire performance drops off when you drop below 43 degrees and disappears at freezing. Unlike the all season their only purpose is to give great traction when driven hard. They are noisier due to a larger tread contact patch (the part that actually touches the ground). The all season will have lower performance for hard driving but better in the colder weather. It will last a little longer due to the deeper tread (add weight) and harder compound (less traction). 14k on these types of no mileage tires is good. Have a good day and thanks for your video. P

In your opinion and experience what would be the better tire for a 2016 370 nismo

Thanks for the info, I just bought a 2013 370z Touring Sport with only 14,000km, it's like new but the tires are original so now old and hard, and it shows. The Advans are what I was considering to put on in the spring next year. A word of advice for your next video, slow down the camera movement as it's very difficult to follow or focus on anything with your camera moving so fast, other than that great job and keep up the good work ;o)

Lol I know my camera work was pretty bad in this video! Good choice of tires though, the car drove great with them. We don't have it anymore but it was a fun car. A word of advice: you really should consider buying tires now instead of later. Driving on 8 year old tires can be very dangerous, especially with a car you plan to drive quickly. Old rubber isn't like worn out tread, there's no correcting once you kick out the rear end or something. Cold/harsh weather will exaggerate this too.

I totally agree, I shan't be driving it much through the winter so next spring will work for replacing the tires, I've done a lot of competition driving over the years, mainly asphalt rallying so know how to handle a car but your absolutely right, old tires can catch you out easily ;o)

I am glad i watched your video, very insightful and nice car too. I am actually going to purchase these same tires in the spring of 2019 as my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's are worn out.

Good video, you should a comparison between these two vehicles, what do you like and hate about each, it'd be pretty interesting!

I've been thinking of doing a video like that but I want to wait until the weather gets nice and they clean up the roads. It would be interesting because they're two different cars with very different personalities. They're both a lot of fun though, one thing they have in common!

It all depends on the way you drive the car at winter.

    mhtube01 nice video great car,
has the car given you any issues with the CSC, clutch slave cylinder?
I just picked up a '11 touring sport and everyone keeps telling me to 'upgrade it'
anyhow great looking car a joy to drive,
how many miles are on the black one now?

The Fulcrum Haven't had any issues with it, I've heard the clutches on these cars are funny. Nothing specific though. I think it has 25,000 on it now or maybe more, I'll have to ask my dad. I'd like to film an update video of it this spring once the weather gets nice and maybe have a little fun with it and my Challenger. Stay tuned!

Major downside of staggered wheels. I bought the avid ascend GT's that has 65,000 wear (740 rated tread wear) and only got 35,000 miles in 3 years out of them. All four wore flat and even with no alignment issues.

hey what's up I'm looking in to getting some new tires for my Z and wanted to how you feel about them tires now that you had them for a while.

    • @mhtube01
      @mhtube01  8 лет назад

Jason Baker They've been really good, they have almost as many miles on them as the original tires did when they were bald and they still have a good amount of tread left. They also are much better in rain without sacrificing grip.

Talking about exhaust in a tire review video. Using good as a description is not the most insightful. No comment on ride quality, road noise or comfort.

No, my parents are middle class. These cars aren't that expensive, the MSRP on this one was $41k and change I think. They're typically geared towards a younger demographic too so Nissan tries to make them affordable for people in their twenties. They do get a little expensive once you get to the NISMO but the lower trims are pretty affordable. My Challenger was more expensive than this car was actually.
