Imo his 'solo' album pshyco jukebox is his best work though the new Fratellis album ' we need medicine is brilliant. Check it out you wont regret it.
Montana MacLeod It's not completly their own style. The were strongly influenced by the British Punk bands of the 70's and 80's on this album. But it's still great!
There is absolutely no musician that has an "original" style if you look at it that way.

I remember when I first heard the Fratellis, their songs were awesome! Then last year in my senior year of high school I was talking to some friends about them and no one knew who I was talking about. Then I was listening to this song with this girl I was on a date with and she looked at me and said, "you like the Fratellis? I personally like Chelsea Dagger more than Henrietta, but this song is good too." That was pretty awesome.

Late to the party... but I love this band, and this song is partly the reason why. Their catalog is amazing - Baby Don't You Lie To me, Dogtown, B Movie Saga, I Guess.. I Suppose... this band has a ton of hits and is one of the most underrated bands of the last decade.

i just found this song and thought it might be a year old but nope, eleven years..
This is the song that I was listening to as I walked out of the prison gates in lindholme, Doncaster three years ago.
This album was my go to album when my addiction and hedonistic chaos was in full flight and I was an incredibly good efficient junkie. I truly mastered my craft, and this album fueled a lot of it, along with some choice e bands from this era but mine so much as this album.
It feels like this band jumped into my every day life and wrote this album as a tribute! Incredible empathy with a true timeless classic of rock.
And so it was, I also listened to it as I exited prison.
I managed to stay clean for three hours.
Fuck it.
Im home, in the only place I've ever known.

I so love their rhymes & the way they sing them to fit into the music; brilliant! I love all the songs on Costello Music but "Whistle For the Choir" is my favourite. It reminds me of all the sweet boys that liked me when I was young but I wanted a cool guy, but not to be faithful to; I wanted to be with whoever I wanted whenever I wanted. I'm now almost 55 & I live with Greg Van Cook, who was a brilliant guitarist, so, in a way I'm living out my childhood dream, and yet I now miss those sweet boys :(
