The disciples would rent a property and use that as a base while they went out and preached in the towns marketplace or wherever people could be found. My point is they were never instructed to go door to door, much less repeatedly every couple of months. That was all Rutherford's corporate plan.
I see cart witnesses every Saturday in my town during the farmers market and this is so true. All they do it sit there while everyone ignores them
I went to a JW cart and asked for a bible. He didn't have one, so he went to the next cart and asked them and they didn't have one, either. The guy said "I will have one next time." The next time I was there he had one fully wrapped up in plastic wrap for me.
It's not a Bible, they changed many many verses to fit their false doctrine. Please be careful. I was shocked when I researched and I'm still hurt I was lied to about even the Bible. Christ is the Truth. ❤

I feel so sorry for them when I see them standing there, believing that they're preaching the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ when they are not.
Preaching means actually using our vocal chords that form words to speak.
I live in an apartment complex owned and operated by them, they have a garage/office and they keep carts there. There are a few JW's who live here so I see them stop by to pick up a cart to go do their thing of standing around, not saying a word. :(
I think the carts are helpful because instead of exhaustingly going door to door with knots in your stomach at each knock, you could just stand there, talk to your partner, and wait out your hours while everyone ignores you. I wish we had this back when I was in. I would have jumped at the chance! 😂

I think the cart witnessing has further ruined the reputation of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is really awkward for people and JWs as well to stand by a cart being ignored by hundreds of people. At least with the door to door witnessing, they are actively trying to speak to people. Also I think this has further made Jehovah's Witnesses vulnerable for their doctrines to be challenged and exposed as false all the while being recorded and uploaded to RUclips. Now, if some clever Christian spots a Jehovah's Witness out by their carts they can prepare a video or audio recorder and challenge their beliefs and upload the conversation to RUclips. A lot of times these show just how cowardly they are, they often just say to go to their website or they will pack up and run away instead of defending their beliefs. I wonder if the Governing Body regret the whole cart witnessing idea.

The Lord’s Evening Meal, which corresponds to the Passover after sunset on Nisan 14. Numbers 9:2 “The Israelites should prepare the Passover sacrifice at its appointed time. 3 On the 14th day of this month at twilight, you should prepare it at its appointed time. According to all its statutes and all its set procedures, you should prepare it."
That will be a special day for true Christians. Because of what we read at 1 Corinthians 11:23-25: “Jesus in the night in which he was going to be handed over took a loaf and, after giving thanks, he broke it and said: ‘This means my body which is in your behalf. Keep doing this in remembrance of me.’ He did likewise respecting the cup.”

Uh, They actually do a colossal amount of harm. Several friends of mine have killed themselves because of how extreme Jehovah's witnesses shunned them. I lost them all within ~18 months.
They've had a no blood transfusion doctrine for many decades that kills hundreds each year. Many being women going through child birth. Their lives ending before they begin. You aren't even allowed to store your own blood. It's a deadly man made rule. I never met a family member because of this.
If that's not enough harm, there is also a half century plus long cover up of child sex abuse globally. It's disgusting. See IICSA, new Zealand and Australian royal commissions, etc.

I suggest you learn history and not that of the variety that your governing body gives to you. The entire new testament apart from 3 John has been quoted and spread throughout the early church. The books and canon were common knowledge long before this council. In fact, the purpose of the council was to expose and expel the great heretic Arius, who is the great grandfather of watchtower theology. How ironic! I also suggested that you do a simple search on the early church fathers ( including those who were direct disciples of John). They all openly proclaimed the full deity of Christ and the obvious theological stance of what scripture taught regarding the trinity. This is a simple fact of church history. While you are looking at that, go check how Russell was caught lying in court regarding his greek knowledge and how F Franz, the NWT translator also lied under oath regarding his greek and hebrew credentials. On April 1, 1913, the High Court of Ontario returned a verdict of "No Bill" ruling that Russell was not entitled to damages because, the libel was not likely to result in any violence within Canada. Following the libel case, Ross published an expanded edition of 48-pages titled, Some Facts and More Facts about the Self-Styled "Pastor" Charles T. Russell (of Millennial Dawn Fame). In this work, Ross claimed that during the proceedings on March 17, 1913, Russell had repeatedly lied under oath by affirming that he was ordained, but denying the same when cross-examined, by affirming that he knew the Greek language, but when shown by Counselor Staunton an extract from the New Testament in Greek by Westcott & Hort, he was unable to recognize it, and that he had not been divorced from his wife, but retracted the statement under cross-examination.
In response, Russell stated through various printed and public sources that he had never claimed knowledge of the Greek language, merely the alphabet and that early Christians were also criticized by the religious authorities for being unlearned and ignorant. He believed that his ordination was "of God" according to the biblical pattern, not requiring any denominational approval or theological training. He suggested that his annual election as "Pastor" by over 500 congregations worldwide constituted him as properly ordained. Russell contended that Ross and others were attacking him because they were unable to answer his theological arguments, preferring instead to resort to slander and character assassination.

It is my opinion that Jehovah's Witness will be included among the God's Kingdom. I can say and believe this statement because the bible teaches that salvation is a matter of the heart, or a desire to want to know and lean God's ways and his will. Salvation and being God's Chosen is not about being a good person, or following a set of doctrines or interpretations of the bible, rather on a person have a deep desire to lean God's ways (will), and not following our own. One way is pretty easy, the other is a steep and long learning process that is filled with many missteps and slips. We just permit God to do his work on us.
If I was to show you from your own bible how one is actually saved, would you believe it?
God can save Jw but eventually they will be lead to leave JW doctrine as they’re not really Christians

Dude, those are set up shots for film. Speaking from experience, the last 2 carts I encountered were in places where hardly anyone walks or visits, and there are plenty of alternatives. I’m not saying they are purposefully choosing places with little traffic, but it appears they don’t really care how many people they will reach. Also, Matt, I reach more people with this channel in a few months that any witness would in a lifetime.
@@LightoverDarkMinistry With regards to having bibles in the carts, we want to know that bibles will be valued by those who take them and used appropriately. Somebody going by the name @CL_G in these comments relates a story where JW's cart witnessing didn't have a bible on hand for them at first contact, but remembered them and procured one for them.
True story. When I was in what you would call Junior High (Probably about 3 years before I began studying the bible with JW's) a representative of the Gideon's came to my high school and handed out copies of the Gospels to all the students. The vast majority of kids thought it was a joke. Smokers would even tear out the pages to roll up cigarettes. We don't want to hand out bibles willy-nilly and we are more careful about handing out literature in general. I'm an avid reader and in years past there have been way too many of our publications at Red Cross book sales, Second Hand bookshops and even garage sales. We may give them out free but it doesn't mean they cost nothing to produce.
Hi Matt. Does the Governing Body allow individual JW's such as yourself to set up their own youtube channel in order to witness? The only individual JW that I've come across with a youtube channel is Watchtower Defence. On this channel are several videos witnessing on different topics, the last video made was five years ago. I don't know why there are no more recent videos, maybe some high ranking JW disapproved of the individual making Watchtower Defence and put a stop to the channel.
It would be great if individual JW's made their own witnessing videos on youtube, they could reach vast numbers of people who could give feedback to those videos.

Can't see anyone obeying Jesus' command to preach about God's Kingdom other than JWs.
I will delete this channel and shut it down permanently and become a Witness, if you can show me where Jesus or any apostle said to go stand by cart and wait for people to grab free brochures.
