- Here's the first look at the creature replacing the Barakoa in the upcoming Mowzie's Mobs update! Only one mask is ready right now, but there will be several different ones when they're released.

That look awesome tho, now they really look like supernatural creatures. I actually loved the old ones but these are very impressive

i would too, but the reason theyre being replaced is because of controversy so the devs probably wouldnt add the barakoa or their old designs back

The barakoa were my favorite mobs from this mod. I'll miss them but man that attack animation is really solid
So Tribal Sun Goblins to Tribal Sun Birds cool! Though I do like the older version more, but thats ok! These look really cool and kind of remind me of Majora's mask
Though this sounds picky could you size them done a bit more they look a little too big. (Overall still great work!)
What names will the new creatures that will replace the Barakoa tribe be & will it have a setting option to switch them to the Barakoa tribe?

Have mixed feelings about big orb instead of head with mask being very separated, but overall they do look, move and sound dope.

Im sad that the old design is gone i wish they could be a seperate mob hidden near barakoa vilage but im happy they did not remove barako and barakoa rip old design

I like them. Their connection to the sun and status as artificial is far clearer now.

K I heard what happened with the barako thing and I say in my opinion. It didn't offend me so it should not offend anyone else. I loved the barako designs.

But. Aren't they based off of some tribe of goblins and not an indigenous tribe. Still they are not a real being. They are just part of a video game.

Wow, that is so cool, however, I will still really really miss the old design in the way they danced however, this new design is very very cool. I love the way it Claude at the player and now that it’s a bird I can’t wait to see what the chief will look like, and its abilities, but I’ll still be able to see the design by going into an older version so at least that’s not going away but the new design is super cool sorry for the long comment 0:12

How are they more "unique" than the barakoa? Concepts such as the sun bird have existed for hundreds of thousands of years in different mythologies, religions, and sections of fiction. The barakoa however are living masks empowered by the sun that pose themselves as goblinoid creatures living in a tribal like setting. I don't know about you but I've never seen such a unique take on goblins and tiki cave men before. The Abavuthana on the other hand just look like generic boss creatures that you'd see in a game like terraria or something, which is fine but it's a huge contrast from the comical, stylized and goblinoid designs of the barakoa.

Surprisingly, I prefer them to the older ones. Maybe you can change their masks depending of their fonctions (like older ones, if you see what I mean)
I’m intrigued to see the finish result of these guys, although how will the redesign of their village turn out? I would imagine it would be some sort of nest with the boss. It would also be cool to see different biome variants of these guys, depending on the biome they spawn in. Will this mod be available for 1.20 when the redesign is finished? Apologies if my English is bad, I am French.

No biome variants. They are designed specifically for the savanna.
The redesign will be for 1.18. Version ports will come later
@@BobMowzieAh okay, however, what will happen to the Barokoa and their villages if we were for example have an already existing world with them in it? (I have Mowzie’s mobs as part of 1.18 mod pack). Will they still exist in current chunks but be replaced in new chunks or will they all be replaced regardless?
@@tiltachi_io2968 They will only be replaced in new chunks. The Barakoa themselves, unfortunately, will disappear in old villages.
Awesome model, animations and sound design. Also, will the Biloko not be based on tribes anymore? (as the future plans on curseforge say they would be a rival tribe of the barakoa)
The actual planned design and mechanics haven't changed for the Biloko. But yes, I will stop referring to them as a tribe.

@@BobMowzieI don't like the appearance of this new boss and what's more when you kill him it's like animal cruelty so it wouldn't even deserve to have that appearance he would deserve to have his tribe appearance like before and we don't care if it causes a problem or not it's because I don't like seeing anthropomorphic birds believing themselves to be a divinity😢😢

Replaced! The rework will minimally affect gameplay and mechanics.

@@BobMowzieMr. Bob, I honestly do NOT recommend at all to replace it, rather add that creature as a separate thing. If you remove the barakoas, you would be breaking the essence of your mod, since the barakoas were part of the essence and represented your mod and not only that, there will be a lot of angry people for that decision of yours to remove the barakos. This is all I'm saying, I'm not saying it as a hater or anything, but as a VERY important suggestion, honestly it's a great sadness and disappointment if you remove the barakos

@@BobMowzieAnd in part, if he decides to replace them (Removing the original barakoas) you're going to have a lot of inconvenience, and instead of making that mistake, add that creature as something separate. If you really want to remove the barakoas, that's fine, it's your mod. In short, you can do what you want but I repeat again, you'll be removing the essence, since those barakoas partly represented your mod and on top of that, there will be many people who feel much disgust (including me) at the replacement of the barakoa are you really willing to take that risk?

No, I am not. They will just have a new appearance.

Hey mowzie, I know these guys have "Problematic imagery" but potentially add a setting maybe in the config files to switch them back to the old designs. Because the old barakoa's are iconic.

@@BobMowzieokay I see... While the new designs are very different to me I still respect your decision and for wanting to amend any misunderstanding regarding possible unprecedented racism present on your mod, even if I don't agree with the changes, it's probably better this way.
It is possible that the original Barakoas design (maybe with a few tweaks) return in a more, maybe, friendly way? Being instead passive npcs that could help the player in or other way around, like a Mowzie version of the Vanilla Villagers. I think it could help to your cause creating positive representation of those groups in the mod. Tho I don't know if you already have an idea for an friendly npc race or if you are open to accept any feedback regarding that
@@nibyafternight1983 Well, the Barakoa were never meant to represent any indigenous groups. If I wanted to actually represent an indigenous group in Minecraft, they would be completely different in appearance and mechanics. I don't think that would suit the mod anyway.

The Snufferpod. A large Herbivore, 20 blocks tall, Has Green Fur on Back and Purple Fur on Chest. snufferpod head uses as sniffer. Snufferpod can Sniff around to find Precious Tree leaves

This will be a long comment, this mod looks even better than the original and I love that you and your team try to improve themselves more and more and this is a clear example of that and I also went to ask or rather suggest something, which is that previously The Barakoar could have a ranged weapon and I have seen that maybe they can launch some type of projectile with their sun orb or literally launch that orb that they have and that causes some type of burn. Question 2 Before there were different Barakoas, these will have some type of variation and Will this also affect the Barakoayas and Barako?
edit: I have many more questions and suggestions but I don't want to ask them here so can you tell me some type of social network where I can ask you and suggest things?

I had an idea that will make the creature combine the abilities and the hook
Do you remember the Giant Rocky Armadillo? There is a way for you to continue working on this monster with the same skills and without looking like the Alex Mobs monster, just change the animal
How about the armadillo girdled lizard
This lizard is almost like an armadillo, it bites its own tail and looks like a ball and its body is full of spines.
he would appear in the same biome as you would make the giant armadillo appear, he would have an attack that spins like a wheel and you could even add the ability to shoot spikes from his tail
Now in relation to the hook, the scales on the back would be hard but the belly would be softer, it would have an attack where it stands on two legs and would crush the player with its own body and that would be when you could return the thorns on its belly.
I think the armadillo girdled lizard is perfect
well, that was the idea I had to adapt my last one since iguana didn't make sense to you

You probably have bedrock edition. There is no Officcial mowzies mobs on bedrock, but you can download fan made ones.
