    Invaluable! I am a total newbie but now I clearly understand how to create custom styles and song book entries. This was not made obviously available in the Korg user information. Many, Many thanks and keep up the awesome work! Korg owes you a huge thanks as well!

    I've owned the Pa5x for several months now (and love it). Until today, I never realized that keyboard sets contained within the factory styles are not necessary in the overall library of factory keyboard sets. I just assumed the keyboard sets were in the basic factory library and then brought into the different styles. After this realization, I re-watched this tutorial again (thank you Qui!) and it was very helpful as there are many keyboard sets within certain styles I want to add to the overall keyboard set library (using copy, etc). I love my Pa5x; however, there is so much more to learn about it yet.

    I have been referencing your video’s now ever since I got a korg Kronos over 11 years ago.
    The knowledge you provided is very much appreciated.
    Thank you.
    I hope Korg recognise your worth like I do.
    If they do not they should be ashamed.
    THANK YOU!

    Thanks for the good video and the many hints like how to get new keyboard sets from Korg itself. And also thank you for the long answer to SOPM2007 concerning Yamaha registrations. Similar question like I asked you a couple of videos before.😊

    Another gold tuto😊.
    So,if you have a keyboard set , can you change the sound quickly if you play live and you decide to change your mind like you made keyboard set with 4 sound like / ac piano/ el piano/ saxo/ Synth for specific sound and for exemple, to the chorus 3 you want an electric guitar to replace the saxo, is it possible to quickly select another sound? Thank you.

      yes, you can even do this automatically, in the settings - preference menu you have an option called Style to kbd SET, set this to var. to kbdset and now keyboard set 1 is automatically selected for variation 1, keyboard set 2 is automatically selected for variation 2, keyboard set 3 for variation 3, etc. So the system will change the keyboard sets based on your variation choice.

    I wonder why they not have also made lights in the 4 keyboard set buttons 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 Would have been a bonus :-)

    So it is possible to save a keyboard set, but from what I can infer here, it is only possible to load them if they are saved with a songbook or a style. I wonder if the keyboard set can be loaded independently? I saved one, but I can't find anything in the manual about loading it back up.

    Rob, je Jean Michel geluiden....geweldig, maar het drukken op je display gaat mij soms te snel, waardoor het mij niet lukt. Is het mogelijk dat je een paar geluiden kan emailen? Gr. Ruud

    Another question, you have a double player on this board , if you want prepare a mashup with player 1/ style and player 2/ mp3, you need to prepare individualy each song bifore getting them together supposely the will have same tempo. Do you need to prepare keyboard set for each one or can you have just 1 keyboard set for playing all the mashup like going to Player 1 thru player 2 or mixing both ? I hope i am clear on m’y explanation😅

    • @quirobinez
      @quirobinez  Год назад +1

      you can change them with the keyboard set buttons or with the Favorite keyboard set buttons (see that tutorial on my youtube channel). Because the korg pa5x supports SST (seamless sound transitions) you can hold the note from your previous set (for instance with the hold pedal) and switch to the new keyboard set, then the mashup keyboard set change will sound smooth

    If a keyboard set only contains information about the sounds of each part, then a keyboard set isn't the same as a registration like on Yamaha arrangers, right? So, on a Korg arranger you don't have any similar powerful tool!? One button press and you have set style, sounds, tempo, mic settings, etc. is not possible with this keyboard here?

    • @quirobinez
      @quirobinez  Год назад

      No, not possible in the same way indeed, the registrations system of the yamaha is absolutely amazing (I have a Genos so i can compare them), but the korg can do other things in the keyboard sets that the yamaha can't do, for instance you can do a lot of programming in the keyboard sets that aren't possible on the yamaha genos. But complete setups like the yamaha registrations aren't possible. But when it has something to do with sounds programming, effect programming, keyboard splits and behavior, routings, ensembles (this is a really advanced extra) then the korg can do these things in most cases better. So they both have their strengths and weaknesses. I will show this in the next tutorial where we are diving into the advanced features of keyboard sets (this tutorial is only intended to show the basics to people that are starting with the korg keyboards)
      The closest thing on the korg to the yamaha registrations system is the set list, there you can do all the same things as in yamaha registrations, but it's a bit of a workaround and it's a little bit of misusing the songbook that way. So i don't use that feature.

      @@quirobinez Thanks for replying that fast and extensive!
      Ok, I was just curious about it. Keep up your excellent work and tutorials, highly appreciated even for people who don't own and can't effort these instruments.
      In the case, Yamaha will bring out a Genos 2, maybe the Pa5X will loose on importance. Then you've full synthesizer capabilities with several synthesis engines on an arranger keyboard. Maybe!

      on your keyboard you see the words upper 1, upper 2 and upper 3, the buttons beneath those words are the buttons I refer to. On the screen it's shown as UP1, UP 2 and UP3

    What is load up time when you hit power button on this keyboard?

    • @quirobinez
      @quirobinez  Год назад

      that depends on the amount of samples you load. on a factory default one it's not that long.

    over Registraties gesproken...is het niet zo dat je alles kunt opslaan in de Songbook zoals bij Yamaha of Ketron in een Registration ???

    • @quirobinez
      @quirobinez  Год назад

      nee niet alles, alleen alles wat met de song of keyboard set te maken heeft, maar niet de configuratie van de pa5x zelf

      @@quirobinez ik bedoelde te zeggen je kunt alle instellingen en veranderingen die je maakt aan een style ( links dus) plus alles wat je rechts hoort toch opslaan in één Songbook registratie ? Dus ook een volledig naar smaak aangepaste user style ?

    • @quirobinez
      @quirobinez  Год назад

      @@matseims je kunt niet beide players tegelijk in 1 songbook opslaan, dat gaat wel komen ergens volgend jaar volgens de korg FAQ, maar nu op dit moment kan dat niet

    een bescheiden opmerking omtrent GENOS en KORG lange ROCK of LATIN intro, als je met een mineur of majeurs akkoord start, dan hoor je echt duidelijk het verschil dat de KORG beter doet & zoals het hoort. Naar mijn idee doet GENOS niet zo best. Bij de KORG hoor je echt duidelijk het verschil, totaal een andere patroon of melodie. Je kunt daarnaast de akkoorden aflezen👍maar niet bij GENOS.
