I just want to mention, this video wasn't made to roast Hardstlye, like any genre there are formulas which just really work with the genre and towards the end when Im laughing and facepalming its because the song turned out exactly how I imagined in my head. I have mad respect for the guys like headhunterz, widestylez, showtek and SMD, i love a bit of hardstyle its just this song i make seems like the very definition of... well you'll see...
Thanks for the video man! It was a lot of fun to see how much messing around can help the workflow! :D A bit of mastering and editing, and you'd actually have quite the hit :) Great stuff, buddy! :D
Man I'm new at producing and I've learnt a lot from this video! Thanks! I have a question: how do you create these beats where the distorsion notes change, following the lead melody? Sorry for my bad English...
No worries, I think you're meaning the hardstyle kicks. I just used samples for this video otherwise it would have been another hour added on to the video just making the kick. To make the kicks it's alot of layering, EQ and distortion...
i want to get into ableton, but i ask mself where i´d get all those "presets" of for example the standard hardstyle kick. do you have to buy those or is it easy to create those yourself?
glad you thinking about getting into ableton. Ableton comes with a lot of samples and presets when you get it, but if you want more niche sounds, like hardstyle sounds, you can either find sample & presets packs which contains the sounds you're looking for, or if you decided to learn how to make them, it does take a lot of time, but you will have more control over the sounds and be able to change certain aspects about it...
Coone is the official Hardstyle God there's a reason hey call him the Prince 🤴 of Hardstyle I use pro tools but and hadn't used ableton in 10 years but I am now since that's what my side project partner uses. I usually start with my 909 kick and bass then melody etc. Good work though.
Hey, I saw this video and the track is really good, even though it was made more or less in a few minutes. I'm forced to use logic because of my school, so I can not work with abelton or FL. Do you know a bit about the software and could you give me some tips and ask for answers?
This is hands down my favorite video I've ever seen on RUclips!!! Lmao 1 because I fucking love hardstyle 2 because I'm trying to learn how to make hardstyle on ableton and I've learned a lot from you and 3 HumptyMuthaFuckingDumpty lmao shit was great! Lol
Antidote Audio Makina is a form of Spanish dance music popularised in Spain, Europe and the northern UK in the mid 90's and 2000's and is still popular today in a growing rave scene. It's often mixed with Italian dance, hard trance, happy hardcore and bounce. I thought this would be a good challenge because it's a relatively unknown genre of music but is actually quite simple in design and gives you a lot of options, so it would test your imagination but it's not so hard to produce to someone who already knows their way around a DAW that it would make it really difficult for you to do technically. m.ruclips.net/video/S_9HGKTCeoc/видео.html Here's a nice classic DJ mix to listen to that will give you an overall general idea of the genre as a whole for for reference. The biggest and most popular Makina record label around right now is Monta Musica, so give them a search if you want to see what current music makers are producing.
Antidote Audio I would say the six best classic tracks to listen to to get the best vibe for the challenge would be: Angeles - High Horse m.ruclips.net/video/zlk7s23AcNM/видео.html Atomic Junkies - Monster Sound m.ruclips.net/video/BsDWuyJzMEU/видео.html Mulhouse - Rave in the Jungle m.ruclips.net/video/2NAtlemYcsg/видео.html Free - Kanashimi O Moyashite m.ruclips.net/video/A8x7OyNlm28/видео.html Korpus - Rainbow m.ruclips.net/video/6H5Fvb68VJI/видео.html Linda & Co. - Just Can't Get Enough m.ruclips.net/video/dK0f4Cr-wDU/видео.html The top 3 are probably the oldest and most known true anthems of the genre, the last 3 are some of my personal favourites which are big melody and vocal based tracks, there's too many to recommend them all. Give everything a listen (will take you a few hours tops) and see what you can do if you're up to it! If you can't be bothered to listen to the DJ mix just listen to the 6 tracks, but the mix has some more generic tracks in it where you can get a good idea of the type of sounds used in the genre instead of only having listened to a few big anthems to go by.
This was amazing, well done dude! I challenge you to try and make a minatory tune, something like Harsh's style, and during the drop try and change the tempo, like Moth did here: ruclips.net/video/8EdZn_jzKwE/видео.html

those were the ones i grew up listening to... what about you?
Antidote Audio those are the ones who left hardstyle ;_;
Yeah true, they evolved into the big room sound. Maybe some day they'll return to their roots...
yeah Headhunterz kinda made his comeback
AHAHa, you did a great job on this bro. This is entertaining, educational, and inspirational! Keep it up man!
13:05 "Not sure if it's what it needs... But YOLO" [perfect transient]
I'm a huge fan of hardstyle *sees bpm to 145* *TRIGGERED*

Dinmeraz78 B depends on kick. Typically 155BPM

loooollllll
"PASSIVELYAGGRESIVEKICK" my favourite thing you've said so far in one of these. XD
haha, the kick needs to be at least 5x louder than everything else in every genre. it should be a rule
dude send me this when it's done and i'll edit it into a festival it will be fucking hilarious!
That was actually listenable. I would play that in a set lol. Even though I'm not a hardstyle dj.
even though I use fruity loops this is still fun to watch
thats what i like to hear! I still love FL even though I mainly use ableton these days, FL is a great DAW
Final Result: 18:34

Hardstyle is very hard to make..there ms so many layers and baselines that cud demolish your main melody 😊❤
Yeah for sure you're right, hardstyle is such a stacked sound overall! so many things competing for headroom!

If you put the time into it you will. and cheers m8 haha
I can't hear the kick
dammm, it was a bit quiet aye?...
Yeah, Hardstyle kicks don't sound that great when resampled, and they're really hard to synthetize. In fact it took me 2 years to do and perfect mine.
Challenge: Make a Makina track.
Im not familiar with Makina? any tracks you wanna recommend?
