This is actually insane. Just the fact that they are developing NEW content for OLD versions of the game shows that they are willing to delve into the idea of classic+ that we wanted.
Make sure to enjoy your borrowed power while you have it, its gonna suck when the new season of "classic+" comes out and all the cool shit you liked its gonna go down the drain and the new "cool shit" might not be as cool as the old one and now the game feels like ass. Also just checked the "development" they did for classic, its just retail abilities and passives put into classic, not saying its not gonna be cool or feel good but dont go around hyping stuff up to more than what it is.
no they dont. they just follow the money, many ppl just play classic but also want some fresh stuff this "change" will make a lot of money for blizzard. there is no love or passion anymore.
Just wait until they destroy it like Wrath classic. Unrestricted botting, and eventually WoW tokens. It's going to happen. I'm just going to stick to private servers.
Watching this panel made it feel like the classic team is where all the passion is. Especially that little tease at the end. Retail’s presentation just felt so corporate by comparison lol
@@Orlyyhe’s probably just a butthurt retail player having an existential crisis because they’re just getting the same “4 new zones, new race, new level cap” formula that they’ve gotten for the past 18 years. On another hand I’m sure some of the retail players are afraid this is going to be more popular and shift resources away from retail if it really takes off
Honestly low level raiding + more new content later on is a way way better scenario for classic plus than anyone would have expected. My only thing is I wish they started with lvl 20 cap so we could get Deadmines and Wailing Caverns raids

its basically an experimental precursor for a classic+. blizz dunno what classic+ should be so theyre gonna experiment and let feedback guide the way for future real classic+ content.
@aleksadmitrovic940 I mean, that's what's happened before with games yeah. Don't you also do that every time you buy into early access and or alpha/beta...you are paying them to be a test dummy.
This is the classic + i want. i think the idea of just launching a fresh vanilla server that progress to Naxx and to then add a new raid or two sounds horrible
Honestly? The fact that blizzard is willing to take a risk on making the initial level cap so low and building new content for an old game makes me have some hope for classic. Maybe new management will help them realize that, even if the average classic andy is an idiot, the opinion of the player is still valuable. On top of that, it's going live in under a month so they actually don't have much time to fuck it up. That being said, this IS blizzard, so...
Well they did hire Metzen back, and we have to remember that the developers love the game and actually do care about it, so as long as Metzen is the new head creative director, they have to go in whatever direction he wants. I'd say we're safe until it turns out that one of the microsoft leaders wants to mess with it
It worked wonders for runescape, they just booted up a 2007 file and then bulid a ton of content on top of that and its more popular than the "new version"
People keep saying that bs about "blizz bad" but the reality is that they're also doing a lot of good lately. WoW classic in general, hardcore, seasons in classic WoW, D2R, D4 started bad but is actually growing better and better by the day, etc.
Rune engraving is literally what Wow Ascension had been doing with Enchants. Either passives or active abilities that can change class and playstyle immensely. But they then changed it from binding to gear and just made them bind to the account like the Collections Tab.
It's similar but not the same, this seems to be more a way of making new viable playstyles and bringing certain underperforming specs up to par, whereas Ascension RE's were always meant to provide extra layers of player power.
Yeah i think is Ascension is going way further than what they are planning. Hopefully this will turn out to make most specs more interesting to play in pve (not just a 1 button spam) and give more viability for other tank classes besides warrior.
@@ArlindoBuriti kind of yes, but the point was that Blizzard basically stole an idea from Ascension, which quite frankly is fair play since Ascension made their own game out of blizzard's game.
Was looking for this exact comment. Thank you for taking the time to leave it and eloquently summing it up better than I could have. I wanted to add though, frankly, this is basically theft. IP theft, but stealing all the same. Sure, it isn't a carbon copy ripoff, but it's close enough that it's undeniable that's where they lifted the concept from.
Did people actually believe that it was going to be permanently locked at 25? I was so confused why people kept saying classic-. But yea I hope they use it as a way to see what abilities people wish to be in a full classic+ release because from looks alone, I'm not sure about these runes
I’m honestly so happy with the level cap system. It’s so unmotivating when others are rushing to lvl 60 cap immediately and I lose motivation to move on being so slow with leveling and now I can go same pace with others and experience everything the same time. I love this dude.
The "cater to the casuals" meta is a big part of what killed the game back in late wrath. The levelling process is supposed to be a journey, not a lifeless step towards the endgame
@@Weavelolthe leveling process was killed in classic wrath as nobody would do any leveling dungeons at all a couple months after release. Not including lfg ruined it. @@Weavelolretail is the state it is in, because they didn't care about casuals for years. Also, the term casual is stupid. Its really just people not having the time to do everything at a fast pace. @@blobblab3020 -- Going to 60 sounds intimidating to a lot of people. Intimidating to some and boring to others. @25 people will be willing to try because it shouldn't take long to get there. I just pray that Classic+ gets handled like Oldschool Runescape. Give it a dedicated team that's disconnected from Retail WoW and let them run with it. Let the community decide on major feature proposal and provide feedback to this dedicated team on potential improvements to this proposal.
i don't mind the cap at 25. it's only goin to effect the people who play 20+ hours a day at launch. can actually enjoy the game without feeling rushed will so be nice
As a long time WoW player who cannot enjoy its modern incarnation, and someone who was piqued by Classic WoW but held back by the complete lack of class diversity and absence of roles...this is a big thumbs up emoji from me. I'm actually very keen to try this out.
I find it funny that all the comments (on literally almost everything related to the classic stuff) before they explained more about it was all extremely negative but now that people actually waited and they explained it more people are more onboard with it. It goes to show that maybe if you just wait a damn minute and let someone explain they might be onto something. This video is a prime example, 1 minute in it was like 90% people just spamming L and then the last 2 and a half minutes 90% were spamming W.
its called "live" reactions for a reason. People reacting to information as its given. Would you be mad at people cheering at stuff before they had all the info aswell?
"I find it funny that all the comments (on literally almost everything related to the classic stuff) before they explained more about it was all extremely negative" To be fair most youtube viewers react to the title or the first minute of a video even if it is an hour long. As a content creator that is YOUR problem not the audience's. Blizzard should know this stuff by now.
@rawcoustic1718 yup, second hand embarrassment from the comments lmfao. Sure I was disappointed at the opening ceremony with nothing dubbed "classic+" but I did what any sane person would do, wait for more info before having a mental breakdown on the internet 😂
@@wushu7294 Classic Plus = beliefs becoming expectations, mixed with overhyping by content creators for views. I'm just glad we actually got something on that direction instead of nothing.
Wasnt like the idea of classic plus exactly the opposit? To leave the classes and gameplay but add new content in form of dungeons, areas and raids? like osrs did?
is it only me that's sceptical of the runes system? what makes classic so great is the variation and distinction of the individual classes. Blizzard has made classes much more homogenous in retail wow and I cant help but to see a step in that direction here with classic+
How? It's not like 20 spells getting blended with other classes. Pallys get a taunt, warlocks get their old demon form that was around for a little bit to tank with, rogues get a passive ability to tank, shamans get a tank passive. It's not blending them together, they're still very unique but it gives them a way to play a different role is all.
i like this "distinction of individuality" while most raids are consisting of 20+ warriors because, lets be real, wow classic might aswell be called wow warrior-edition. its not individuality if you bring ONE druid and maybe TWO warlocks to a raid, thats just classes being badly designed.
@@DrDannyy you said it, different roles. thats exactly whats unique about the classes in classic, that every class has its purpose and role. i'd love some changes with a fresh classic+ but this really isnt it. also the gameplay at its core is completely changed to a more wotlk style which me personally and lots of other people feel is less satisfying
The reason it's called Season of Discovery is because they're experimenting with the players to figure out how they're going to proceed with Classic Plus.
Waaaah they added 5 new spells and more world pvp I'm so angry, it's retail now! Sorry that you're angry they're trying to make it so people who play pally/druid/rogues actually can play their characters endgame pve.
They should buff cooking by making it so all food and water (water gets added to cooking) is 300% more powerful than the vender stuff we get. Imagine if you could use bruiseweed/briarthorn and mageroyal to cook special teas that give you the "hydrated" buff and restore mana 300% faster than melon juice. This change would also be great for herbalist as it makes more demand for herbs that everyone is farming and trying to sell at whatever price. Also Hydrated buffs can also give a small stat buff like haste, crit, stats, or hp5+mp5.
This is going to be similar to the classic wow beta. I absolutely CANNOT wait to try out the PVP meta while being capped at various different levels, and with new stuff to boot!
Seems like more of a short term experiment but if it goes well I'm 99% sure they will follow through with some sort of classic+ or even just expand on it so much that it turns into that.
Embracing the strength of the grand classic world with a focus on exploration is a great design idea, could be very rewarding. I am personally very hyped for the open world pvp on lvl 25. You can play different alts with different rune builds in a fresh and likely very populated world, super cool!
My only worry about the new pvp mode, is if it is not instantiated, in which manner will they adress the balance between the numbers of players in each faction? Will there be a limit to be able to create a character on a faction or another (like it have been done on some servers) ? Will there be more NPCs spawning on the side where there is less players? How will they fix it?
Holly Longdale made a terrible introduction of this at the beginning of the convention (they should prepare that kind of things better. I bet a lot of people dropped the convention after that poor introduction). Once the WoW Classic panel started, things changed completely. This totally looks like a PTR for Classic+. Let's see if the community likes it, and if so, maybe a permanent Classic+ server will be a reality with more content such as new races, classes, dungeons, raids, wpvp, zones, quests, mechanics, etc. And who knows, new expansions with a reset in the storyline. I also hope Chris Metzen takes an important role in this.
Everyone is hyped about how crazy and fresh the idea is, until you realise there's a private server that's already done that exact concept (executed well too) and has for a few years now
@Sleeman0980 Well said. I had small hopes for a proper Classic+ but we got Retail- insted. They managed to make the Classic Plus we wanted into some downgraded Ascension WoW. I mean who asked for rogue/lock tanks, mage healers?
@@vXCozmozStop approaching game studios like fast food restaurants - let them experiment and take you for a ride. If you don’t like it, hop off. You are paying to experience someone else’s hard work. You are entitled to nothing.
Well, this was a huge move by Blizzard, we have to recognize that. They are actually listening to the community and trying their best to make steps in the right direction. Can’t wait for nov 30!!
They clearly know about Ascension WoW. This is a "classless" privserver where you build your own class - either from what you want or in a random mode, drafting from cards offered at each levelup. I've been there, it was kinda fun to play. It's also where hardcore wow originated i think. I seen HC over there in 2021. Obviously their retail implementation won't be nearly as complex and crazy as Ascension is - but hey, it's classic+. New content for an old game.
I agree I think this is generally a W for classic+. Yes, they did steal the idea from Ascension, but then again Ascension is a private server using Blizzard's own game so I think it's fair play if Blizzard steals ideas from private servers lol.
I think so much of the retail vs. classic shade that people throw around is likely heavily based on the context of WoW at the time in their lives. It’s so emotionally charged. You don’t want WoW to be the same that it was. You want life to be simpler like it was. Where you and your buddies played for hours together and made amazing memories. You want those feelings back. Those feelings and experiences happen to be tied to “the way WoW used to be”.
I was not excited for Blizzcon, and had canceled my sub a few weeks ago. But this sounds cool, love seeing these changes, and it looks like a fresh wind for Classic, while still sticking to the original thing we all love so much. They better not mess this up with in-game purchases...
The only thing I don’t like about it is the mage being able to heal, and the rogue being able to tank. I feel like those might be a little bit too outside of what makes the class unique and is picking up things from other classes. I do feel like maybe there not too far off though as maybe they intended them to have certain heals or tanking capabilities back then.
Rogue-tanks have been a myth from before vanilla wow ever launched (bucklers). I think it's cool they embrace this very old myth to see how it'll work out.
"Everyone is hyped about how crazy and fresh the idea is, until you realise there's a private server that's already done that exact concept (executed well too) and has for a few years now." Well said by someone. EDIT: WoW Classic's Season of Discovery will break rules that have existed for 19 years.
1 - So? If the private server is being successfull, this means that this is worth exploring. Plus, some people might stay away from private servers because it's just piracy, other people avoid it because it's not official and you can't really rely on/expect a good service/data logevity (since, again, it can be shut down any minute). Now, if we were dreaming, It certainly could be insane if the team was approved by blizzard and gave them the sources and tools to make a better game. If this was like actual game developement. Oh, wait, this is not a dream anymore, this is what's happening. 2 - "Will break the rules that existed for 19 years". 19 years of utter trash. I personally stopped playing after legion, the game just became really boring and repetitive. The BC/WotLK were the best in terms of balance between the game and systems, LFG was a mistake tho. MoP was... interesting in some ways, at least for me, but the game was heading in a very strange direction and I didn't enjoy that.
@@CL-jq1xs Dude, you do realise private servers are based on Blizz assets right? Have people lost their minds lmao... Also, Ascension and SoD are nothing alike - the former is classless and randomised, the latter they added a few more abilities to balance things up as far as possible.

*We asked for Classic+ but we got Retail- (Classic- beta (SoD at best)* Sure they gave us some parts what we've been asking for like Shaman and Paladin tanks but we did NOT ask for mage healers and rogue/lock tanks. Even Esfand said that about mage healers and basicly all chats were against it during the Blizzcon livestream. Faster leveling, xp boosts, catch up system, mage healers, rogue/lock tanks, abilities from Cata (post classic) etc, yeah that is so much "Classic 2019" sigh. Yes Scarlet raid, Kara crypt and all that was good sure, but the rest...get to 25 and wait weeks for next content, kek. Wrath Classic is still on and recently released Lich King patch. No way in hell are the people in their long hard earned fully enchanted epics going to stop play it, ditch all that work progression and start playing SoD in 30th of Nov. Not going to be able to be playing with my friends if so...play SoD all lone, yay...ALL they needed to do was to tweak some classes, not break em into other class roles on that subject. You could say we got Classic- beta (SoD). They should have just giving us some hints of this, working on it and coming out when Wrath is done. Oh well. That's that. Since it's coming so soon they won't change about mage healers, and if they remove it later on, some ppl will go mad, so ye the damage is already done. Hopefully next Blizzcon they will announce the real and proper Classic+. They managed to make the Classic Plus we wanted into some downgraded Ascension WoW and ppl already buying into this "zomg hype!" haha.
I am super excited for this to drop! Bringing back that sense of mystery to Azeroth, even if it's a little bit here and there, is a great step. Can't wait! Just so pleased they are listening to us :)
I HATE the idea of mage healer warlock tank etc. class identity in classic is one of the reasons we love it. Each class has their specific role. They start losing their identity when you add extra roles. I don’t like the idea of faster levelling or cheaper talent changes or anything like that either. The hardships and things that seem “unfair” in classic wow is what makes it classic wow. Having to farm some gold in order to play a different spec sucks but having things that suck in the game is all part of the journey and the charm. The moment you start adding a bunch of QoL changes is the moment you start diluting the game and repeating the mistakes of retail. Same with the levelling. Levelling is a huge part of classic wow and is a huge part of the game, there is absolutely no reason to speed that up. Also, new abilities seem cool but it’s a risk adding too many otherwise it will feel like retail combat. It needs to be as close to that vanilla feel as possible. I’m excited to give it a go for sure but if they start announcing things like group finder or any other retail QoL I’m out.
Well think of it like this, class identity in classic isnt as unique as we wanna think it is. What's the difference between a mage and warlock in a raid fight? One spams frost bolt and the other spams shadow bolt. This is still keeping their identities but giving them a crazy "hey wanna try this" option. It doesn't make it retail because retail hasn't touched this. This is beyond what we've seen before, an actual plus to classic.
I mean I think this is a W. For them to completely redo classic wow to make classic plus like a whole new experience from the ground up would be a lot. This at least lets them ease their way in.
Waiting for an official Classic + server that uses everything that worked and didn’t work from Season of Discovery until I think about getting serious about World of Warcraft.
no idea how people can complain so much when they saw this initially. the moment I first read their announcement it was 100% crystal clear and obvious that this is classic+. also why complain about the level 25 tiered content. it is literally an immensely improved version of the classic beta level caps that introduced multiple new metas we never saw before. and together with the new class enhancements and new raids along the way will add so much more content than if they just made you level to 60 until you finally get to see the new content that fits into a level 60 experience.
I like what they are doing. Vanilla's appeal was the leveling. So to have NEW Dungeons and raids while you level is the BEST place to start increasing the content. The problem I have with it though... is they said they will increase the leveling rate every new level cap. My question becomes... what happens to those raids? Perhaps because they are only going 10 man it will not be TOO hard to fill a group. Still though, the best way to make sure the content stays filled is to not have 80 servers. I have always said, Cataclysm was a bad solution to a growing problem. If they actually ditched their server model and made multiple mega servers Vanilla could have stayed intact for years and perhaps alter the direction of the game. The fact that only the full servers had any social interactions in leveling zones and dungeons is what helped peak WoW. If you were a new player on a Medium to... god forbid, recommended server you probably could count the number of players you ran into on one hand from 1 - 60 during Wrath. Couple that with 30 to an hour spam sessions to find an SM group and yea.
I mean its fine that they want to find out if people will be interested. For me season of discovery sounds awesome and cant wait to try it. For all these haters you dont have to play it, you can stick to normal classic realm no ones makes you play this lol.
They're just mad they were wrong with their stupid notion of "Classic Plus is never going to happen", which was exactly what everyone said about Classic back then and then it happened. Fuck the nay-sayers, legit fuck em all. They have no clue and think they are so much more mature than anyone else.
Only problem i have with it is that some spells are a bit to much for classic like for example that rewind time thing that mages got. Thats a retail kind of spell imo.
The announcer basically confirmed that exact thing when he said "its everything we love about classic plus (classic +) so much more". He even paused and emphasized the plus. He teased it with intentional word play that I am surprised so many people missed.
I'd say this is more in the direction of retail really. Moving all classes in some kind of homogenous direction where everyone can be anything is already moving away from the RPG spirit of classic. It's just a gimmicky goofy fun mode, which is fine, but it's divorcing itself from classic.
Classic+ is a non-tangible word people just throw around. There is no such thing as "classic+". Its an idea, it varies in each persons mind VASTLY. People need to realize that. This could be such a precursor to classic+, this could also BE classic+. We dont know yet.

@@Quitarstudent I think there's a severe overreaction to what's being said there. They're talking about minor changes and people are talking about Classic+ like a total reboot of WoW which would involve changing everything. Minor changes like new items, or changing boss scripting around they'll do, but they're never going to build actual Classic+ because they might as well just make WoW2 at that point. Not only does it free them of the limitations of working with the classic codebase and tooling, nobody is going to come back to WoW to play classic but with 1 extra dungeon and 7 more quests. They'd probably spend another 500+ hours in WoW2 though.
youre right, ppl are spending 500+ hours in classic with no changes whatsoever, if you just change numbers on items and talents, you already get completely different experience, aslo in 2018 blizz denied any futurte existence of classic only to bring it back and now were going in direction of classic +, wow is product, they dont care why u play but that you play, different versions mean bouncing between these versions when you get bored with the other one, as ppl now do with retail/classic@@Lambda.Function
Could be cool especially for HC, because you dont have to grind 200 hours or more to get to 60, but just about a full day. This way you dont feel like sh*t when someone messes up, you can get there again relatively fast.
I wonder how those devs feel like knowing that classic is WAY MORE loved than retail... at this point retail is like a Call of Duty compaign while classic is the online part....
This is what I thought by myself. Why dont they just do classic season with just going wild. Add crazy things do stupid event etc etc. Just whatever sounds fun. This sounds great and I will be resubbing
My big issue with the rune graving is.. how many abilities are we going to have? These rune abilities + talent/class abilities? I wish that part they'd keep simple..
At level 25 you can choose 3 abilities, each piece of gear has like 4 different abilities to choose from for a total of 12. So you can mix and match however you like. Later down the line there will be engravings for other pieces of gear. It's not complicated
blizzard is basically now speedrunning what they needed 10 years to do with the new runes in classic. Everyone is cheering but in the end it will ruin the classic experience. Mark my words. And no, I am not some kind of purist. If they add new content I am all for it.
They are adding new content, they already said that as the levels increase they are going to be creating new raids and dungeons that are not in current WoW, and even alluded to the Kharazhan crypts at the end, which was an exact mirror copy of Kharazhan that we never got access to because it was filled with demons

The "Mistake" Last panel might be the biggest reveal of all of blizzcon I think they have won me over with this one.
@@Dangerous1939 Ascension is too much...

True. It's actually the best change for casual players like me they could come up with.
The "cater to the casuals" meta is a big part of what killed the game back in late wrath. The levelling process is supposed to be a journey, not a lifeless step towards the endgame
@user-zg5ew2bm7l as a casual myself I very much disagree with that.
@@Weavelolthe leveling process was killed in classic wrath as nobody would do any leveling dungeons at all a couple months after release. Not including lfg ruined it.

What made classic fun was that every class was uniqe.

Yeah exactly this is just a move in the direction of retail.

Will there be a limit to be able to create a character on a faction or another (like it have been done on some servers) ?
Will there be more NPCs spawning on the side where there is less players?

If they change gameplay It will crash and burn. To me they still do not understand why people like classic. And that's sad.

No, just a bad version of Ascension with pseudo-Turtle beta testing lol
I think so much of the retail vs. classic shade that people throw around is likely heavily based on the context of WoW at the time in their lives. It’s so emotionally charged. You don’t want WoW to be the same that it was. You want life to be simpler like it was. Where you and your buddies played for hours together and made amazing memories. You want those feelings back. Those feelings and experiences happen to be tied to “the way WoW used to be”.
Ok, THIS was the best of Blizzcon I could have thought of.

The greatest news of Blizzcon is that Asmon is getting back to Wow.
I can finally make a melee hunter
I dont get what the problem is. Classic with some changes is what everyone supposedly wanted. I think its awesome they are willing to stretch the mold
Rogue-tanks have been a myth from before vanilla wow ever launched (bucklers). I think it's cool they embrace this very old myth to see how it'll work out.

Not going to be able to be playing with my friends if so...play SoD all lone, yay...ALL they needed to do was to tweak some classes, not break em into other class roles on that subject. rune engraving is basicly what ascension is doing XD without the grind
This is beyond what we've seen before, an actual plus to classic.
you have Classic Era for that.
pretty cool that he actually said ""Classic Plus"" to feed into it lol
some people are so stupid, they pretty much had to do it
This IS Classic+
This is a cop out to not giving us classic plus. Sick of this season bullshit where my progress doesn't fuckin matter
I mean I think this is a W. For them to completely redo classic wow to make classic plus like a whole new experience from the ground up would be a lot. This at least lets them ease their way in.
First Blizzcon since 2016 where Chris Metzen is back, and we seemingly head towards what we all want right away.
I like it!
Sounds like retail World of Patchcraft.
Asmon perks up so much when he thinks there’s any possibility his first love (wow classic) is on its way back to relevancy .
Waiting for an official Classic + server that uses everything that worked and didn’t work from Season of Discovery until I think about getting serious about World of Warcraft.
wow... all the three people there were really excited. finally a w for blizz
no idea how people can complain so much when they saw this initially. the moment I first read their announcement it was 100% crystal clear and obvious that this is classic+. also why complain about the level 25 tiered content. it is literally an immensely improved version of the classic beta level caps that introduced multiple new metas we never saw before. and together with the new class enhancements and new raids along the way will add so much more content than if they just made you level to 60 until you finally get to see the new content that fits into a level 60 experience.
I’m so excited! They should have talked about these details at the original presentation
This isn't classic+ but it's going in that direction.

LOL that's not Classic+, that's adding some mobs and some quests and re-scripting some dungeon bosses. The copium inflation is real.
they are changing classic, thats the essential point of classic +, redoing old content which was a taboo for a looong time, also this The announcer basically confirmed that exact thing when he said "its everything we love about classic plus (classic +) so much more". He even paused and emphasized the plus. He teased it with intentional word play that I am surprised so many people missed.
@@Lambda.FunctionWhat is classic+?
youre right, ppl are spending 500+ hours in classic with no changes whatsoever, if you just change numbers on items and talents, you already get completely different experience, aslo in 2018 blizz denied any futurte existence of classic only to bring it back and now were going in direction of classic +, wow is product, they dont care why u play but that you play, different versions mean bouncing between these versions when you get bored with the other one, as ppl now do with retail/classic@@Lambda.Function
Can't wait for him to stream classic+ with the same miserable disinterest as he did classic.
Could be cool especially for HC, because you dont have to grind 200 hours or more to get to 60, but just about a full day. This way you dont feel like sh*t when someone messes up, you can get there again relatively fast.
Its not gonna be 25 forever
I wonder how those devs feel like knowing that classic is WAY MORE loved than retail... at this point retail is like a Call of Duty compaign while classic is the online part....
This is what I thought by myself.
Why dont they just do classic season with just going wild. Add crazy things do stupid event etc etc.
Just whatever sounds fun. This sounds great and I will be resubbing
Yes, I also predicted that Seasons is gonna be their way of doing Classic+.
Man. I sure hope phase 4 lives up to this, cause so far it just has not been great.
Well, personally speaking, phase 4 has been pretty good.
the meat worm is getting bigger
My big issue with the rune graving is.. how many abilities are we going to have? These rune abilities + talent/class abilities? I wish that part they'd keep simple..
They want every spec to be viable as well as adding few experimental ones.
So play Classic?
At level 25 you can choose 3 abilities, each piece of gear has like 4 different abilities to choose from for a total of 12. So you can mix and match however you like. Later down the line there will be engravings for other pieces of gear. It's not complicated
good news: Era servers are still playable
so it like glyph
The last few secs of the video was old blizzard showing its spark.... i hope we see more of this
blizzard is basically now speedrunning what they needed 10 years to do with the new runes in classic.
Kinda cool they just robbed the Rune idea from Project Ascension.
Smart Blizzard Devs, doing what made their games good in the first place.
I never played Vanilla, but this makes me highly interested if actual new content is involved. Kinda gives me a WoW 2 vibe and Retail just didnt feel like WoW anymore
Isn't everything new content for you if you've never played Vanilla lol?
@@spaceowl9246 lmao
@@spaceowl9246 Kinda. I saw others play it tho and it wasnt enough zo get me to play classic. Now there is new content and also class abolities to get me interested. There just was something missing to get me to play it you know?
This is what I've always wanted for vanilla WoW. Proper class design and rotations, with new content, I'd like for them to finish the unfinished Cataclysm content too. But War Within is amazing too, seems like a better Dragonflight and Dragonflight is the best expansion to date. Then there is Cata classic.
This stuff looks good, more of this blizzard ❤
New Rune system, is basicaly ascension wow but i would love to see how blizzard will try to implement it, will they just copy it or will it be smth new?
basically yes lol but Im still excited about it because they're finally listening to the community. or stealing ideas from a different community lol
idk i'm super hyped for this experience, looks like a really fun times and no swearlording-minmaxing bullshit due to flexibility of literally every class at will
Lmao imagine gamers in 2023 not min maxing. What universe do you live in?
@@MrTaylork1 I for one give a less of a fuck about min maxing and im a gamer in 2023, i literally laugh at people malding at me for not playing a certain character in ow2, or how to play my class in WoW. If you min max i can only think you have a mental disorder for taking a game that serious to point you think playing a game for competitive reasons is how it should be played, even if it means you have no way in hell getting into actual esports and are just sweating your ass off for no reason 😂
I mean this in the kindest way possible, but if you genuinely believe min-maxing will magically poof away, you're delusional. There always is an optimal build for whatever it is you're trying to do, and it's silly to think WoWHead and IcyVeins won't have those readily available within the first 1-2 week(s).
@@PulseOfMeThere is a difference between min/maxing because you want to get the max out of your chara ter, and specxing like a retard who dont understand whats going on.
And if you play with people and you spec lile a retard, you will be told. Because you will hinder the group.
And THATS NORMAK AND OK.
What is not ok is being a d1ck about. Like you are being a d1ck about min/maxer.
I would bet 100$ you are the kind o dude who dont understand and get his party wiped. And when someone tells you, you lack amsculinity and emotional control to be able to take it and you mprove upon.
@@PulseOfMeAs long as you can pull your weight in group content like raids, then you should absolutely play however you want. It's when you're responsible for wasting everyone else's time that it's a problem. Meeting that standard of effective group play or participating in highly competitive play are the only times I'd bother with min-maxing.
Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms are the best worlds in Wow and now we get to be there with fresh abilities and new content.
I just want classic with pretty models ...
I dont wanna play a crappy looking vanilla wow
Turtle WoW
This isn't classic+ It's just a re-invented wheel that didn't need to be re-invented, but now made with greener and more environmentally friendly materials.... Can't wait for all the broken stuff.
What is classic+?
so lazy, I'm sticking with Turtle WoW. They're just using existing content and changing some bullshit around it... Runes?? New abilities? Such a lazy way to go about it. This is extremely low effort if you've seen what Turtle WoW has done so far.
I thought so too, Blizzard sucks balls as always
@fufu1405
Yeah! Turtle is soo good man! I just love it when 80% the server doesn’t speak the same language as me, it really gives a good MMO feel
@@teoteo6185 Umm... They created Chinese servers, so most of the Chinese are gone.
This sounds insanely fun.
The community response I have seen to this on Asmons stream, and on youtube, has been pathetic. A great reminder of how braindead and annoying parts of the wow community can be at times.
"Oh, they're doing something interesting? But its not technically Classic+? Man fuck blizzard".
The response has been what the response has been, most people aren’t excited. Content creators will play it for a couple months and then move on
Because it's not interesting, it's dogshit. Nobody asked for this. It's a gimmick.
Warlock tanks? Mage healers? Melee hunters? How is that anything anyone asked for.
All people wanted was new content after Naxx and for unused zones and storylines to be finished. Not a partitioned out endgame that drags on. I mean, bully for you if this is something you're interested in, but the majority of people couldn't care, the servers will die before it gets to the end, and Blizzard will say "see we knew you didn't want classic+".
you need to be careful before they come after you lol.
@@QMS9224 but the purpose is that it only updates every other month with new content, so after you have leveled up and done all the end game content (which is expected to take 3-4 weeks for all the raids and pvp stuff), then you have to level up 15 more levels and do all the new end game stuff all over again. These are just like retail patches but they release a lot quicker and you won't have a moment where theres not something that's new. The only tough part will be the 1-2 week wait for the next patch to come out after you've done everything for the level bracket
@@Voltron5000 From what the surveys are, about 89% of people have positive feedback about this. It turns out people actually really love the idea of it all. I know it may be disappointing to you that your own personal fan fiction was not made canon, but it appears as though the entire community is coming together to say that this is exactly what they wanted and are genuinely excited for this.
LOL, Blizzard looked at Ascensions mystic enchants and went "YOINK" "Two can play at that game"
I have to be honest, it all seem like scrapped ideas to me
