    I am not discussing the next manager anymore until after the season ends. Maybe this is why the team has gone like this, the fans have lost a bit of focus too. Let's just concentrate on Klopp's last 3 games and give him the love he deserves.

    Adam, if the manager doesn't have the final say on signings I feel that's a weakness. He is, after all, the one supposedly with the best knowledge of football, the squad and what is needed. It's not about his being relaxed about authority, it's about what makes the strongest foundations for success.

    I am surprised that people didn't notice that Edwards was willing to return to Liverpool because FSG agreed to his demands that he would be the one calling all the shots concerning player recruitment. I believe the reason he resigned was because he and Klopp were at odds with each other on this issue. It seems obvious that it had to do with a power struggle. Arne Slott probably loves to coach and be responsible for every aspect of the team's performance on the field. It is not that he won't have a say on the kind of player that he may want to have.

    This sounds like a poor researched article.. In Holland and Germany, what is a ‘manager’ in the UK, is called a ‘trainer’ in Holland also referred to as coach. It is true that professional clubs in the Netherlands are organised and structured similar to most premier league clubs, however that doesn’t mean that the influence and status of the head coach is not on a level similar to a Premier League manager. In Slot’s case, quite the contrary, within the Feyenoord organisation his position is undisputable, his status and influence huge... Ironically, Feyenoord' does have a Team Manager, Frank Boer (no not that one)... Regardless of the job title, manager or head coach what’s in a name, in my opinion the new LFC manager can only benefit from a strong organisation that supports and guides him, seasoned professionals that he can spar with, rely upon and trust..

  • @TheKailoon1
    @TheKailoon1 Месяц назад +3

    I believe that's part of the reason jurgen is leaving,him trying to coach and having battles about signings drained him. If Slot takes the job knowing he's a coach with input but not the final say on transfers all is good

    Ultimately I don’t really care what the set up is. I want to win matches and trophies. If this set up achieves that then why would we care.
    Also he will be involved with decision making of players. It just won’t be his focus. He won’t have to scout players or be involved in that.
    If anything it does sound like a better setup because he can concentrate on what really matters in the day to day of the team.

Man utd would laughing coz we brought another version of Ten Hag.. tis is disater

Even Salah now Salah and everything has gone down the drain...... think youre abit heavy handed with the MOST!???? Its typical when its all going fine EVERYONE IS PERFECT when its going wrong EVERYONE IS SHIT AND EVERYONE SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!????
      Its the first season with a complete new midfield setup!!!
      We have fallen off a cliff the last month! But i would noway blame any single person! We didnt even expect to be top 3 at the beginning....... its unfortunate

    • @AP-di6gu
      @AP-di6gu Месяц назад

      @@antwango Szoboszlai and Gravenberch aren’t suitable for a Klopp team. Endo was a cracking signing, but we need to be attracting younger, more athletic players. Jones came up through the academy. I believe Elliott was a Edwards signing, and Nunez and Diaz can’t hit a barn door and have cost Liverpool the league this season.
      And I did expect us to be challenging for the title before the season started. We’ve a deep enough squad, but our forwards, forwards that Klopp and Ljinders brought in, regrettably didn’t put the ball in the back of the net when it mattered.

    Don't think it's a big deal. The journalist is splitting hairs in my opinion. If he was a yes man, no way would Liverpool employ him. In all intense purposes he is the gaffa or the boss. In my opinion he is the 24th man to manage Liverpool. It won't be Edwards or Hughes picking the team. These journalists not connected to LFC try to put fans on a downer or put doubt in their minds. I call it stirring the pot or words to that effect.

    I dont know i have mixed feelings we've moved on from Alonso to Amorim now to WHO!!!!!!??? And we're obviously none the wiser apart from DATA IS KING!!! its all robotic and graph and AI driven!!!

      Klopp still has a say on players as they discussed them in the committee edwards always wanted the cheap option which isn’t always the correct option . Edwards had his nose put out because Klopp started to listen to pep who had more influence . Edwards job was to sign players add sell players and be communicator to the top bosses ..
      his job as SD at the time was not to dictate which players klopp had . So we’ll see how good Hughes and Edwards really are just using data . As that doesn’t tell you the attitude of the player in training or away from footy .
