i liked him at his early ajax career when he often played as CM who could go forward, similar to young kovacic in early inter days. He has similar strengths as him, so he would obviously be really in a setup where he can be a free roaming CM, playing behind front 3 in right half space or even in a double pivot role where the other mid is a more static defensive profile, like Partey or Casemiro. He is mobile enough, great passer, press resistant and has feel for the game to be a controller type that can carry the ball from midfield and change up the pace of the game with his carries. He is not a winger like Dembele who can dictate the match with his runs from the side, and as a false 9 he would need a proper poaching winger who can tuck inside so Kudus can play off of him. I know he scores quite a lot in his current role and he would lose much of his goalscoring impact, but him in a Fabregas type of role from Arsenal days would suit him so well, obviously with main strength being his carry potential which is incredibly valuable in today's football.

As an Ajax supporter, I enjoyed your video. Kudus has been our best player this season, and really our only source of chaotic creativity. I agree that his unusual skill set means that he will need the right manager and system to get the most out of his talents. Because of his penetrating runs, I agree that his best position is in the midfield. A mezzala would make sense, as he needs the freedom to make forward runs and pull apart the defense, while he tracks back with enough intensity to be an asset in ball recoveries. I could also see him working as a winger in a system like Liverpool's where he is not asked to cross so much. I worry about where he will end up because a manager that does not use him correctly will make him look bad, when he has the talent to be a contributor on top teams.
Playing for an elite side he will be facing low block a lot and in leagues such as EPL where the full backs can match him for pace and power - it would prove to be problematic hence I think a move central his athleticism can come to the fore more. Glad you enjoyed the video!
He went from Ghana to Denmark to being injured to being poorly used by the coach. I'm convinced he'll improve a lot now that he finally gets the playtime he deserves.
I would suggest you to make another video on Kudus in a year's time because he has been played out of position for entirety of the season at Ajax until recently. Most Ajax fans were unhappy with Scheuder for playing Kudus on right which is not his best position. Now, under new manager he is playing his best game as CAM. His best position is CAM/SS(false 9).
Schreuder played Kudus as false 9 most of the time. The new coach Heitinga actually plays him on the right wing. His best position is probably as CAM or lower on the pitch as CM because he is also good at resisting press and carrying the ball forward.
Kudus would suit liverpool at rcm perfectly a but like preinjury ox who has an eye for a goal and bursting speed plus he is defensively better than someone like eliott in liverpool's system
There is probably only one person in this world who sees him as a cf, schreuder. No one in ajax liked him in that position and it is a relief that heitinga has placed him at rw, although is best position is probably cm/cam. Under ten hag he played cdm actually, in a role like frenkie de jong.
Spot on. 👌 This analysis is exactly what I've been looking for, it supports my view on Kudus being a much better fit as a RAM as opposed to being an outright RWF With him we can have an extra body in CM that contributes to the press/off the ball work and adds that needed physicality He'd be more effective than say an Nkunku in off the ball situations I'd move Nkunku upfront where he'd focus on creating/attacking and create a solid CM spine with Enzo x Santos/Caicedo x Kudus It makes sense that Pochettino singled him out from the alternatives He's an ideal RAM-RWF hybrid player - a more physical but less technically sound version of Bernardo Silva. 💙
When you play classic centre forward you got to be able to cross the ball, hold the ball and head the ball. I remember watching Mark Hughes for Manchester United and he would cross the ball if he was in a crossing position, hold the ball up and head the ball on goal or flick it on. Having the right attributes in your position is more important then positioning yourself and looking the part.
Kudus can shoot pretty well with his right foot. Other than that, I like your analysis of him. He needs a coach who would appreciate his skill set and play him as a 10. Ten Hag did that but after his injury, consigned him to the bench so if I was Kudus, Man U would be the last place I’d go to. Nice work tho!
Eric 7 hag likes mcfred players that just run and tackle in midfield so nah kudus would line up nicely with odergaard in xhaka’s position with a world class midfielder behind then like caicedo it’s crazy the potential of that midfield
if you ever do again a video about a player from the 90s, like the one with davids, i'd love to see Michael Laudrup. From what i've seen in tribute videos and read from interviews, the Barca trio of iniesta-xavi-messi copied moves from him. Every signature move from them was every day stuff from laudrup.
Curious on a Mount video, hearing your thoughts on where he could potentially fit in, if a transfer where to happen considering all the rumours about his contract.
I really admire your work. Let me make a suggestion... making videos for the likes of osimhen now is no good, cause you'll get much better views when he moves in the summer. Until then can we get videos for more established players who will not move soon like mbappe, vinicius, haaland, oddegard etc..... keep up the good work!

Hey, I really like your videos. There is however one thing, you could improve on: I feel like, your title sequence is far too loud in comparison to the rest (especially the shot-sound). Maybe It is just me, but I always have to turn down the sound of my speakers at the beginning of your videos and turn it up after the intro again. But otherwise great work. Very inspirational and insightful. Keep it going!
Imagine a midfield 3 of Caicedo, Enzo and Kudus, all of them got engines on them and high football IQ. Plus he feels similiar to Spurs' Mousa Dembélé who was an absolute tank. Poch could do wonders with Kudus.
Brighton's interest in this player is really promising for his career, and a move I think he ought to take. With Mac Allister departing, he could play the left 8 role in De Zerbi's 433, creating potential chaos either when receiving in a tighter area, or in transition, for example via a knockdown from Ferguson His best latent ability in my opinion will be that of running beyond a central target man, and then leveraging this threat to drag opposing defenders into areas they would fare better avoiding. What a side the Seagulls would have with Kudus added. A team all of Europe would fear, potentially
@@peluminova2515 don't think he'd fare well at Chelsea at all tbh, even with the plan Poch has in place. Not really secure enough on the ball in tight spaces to add anything they don't already have in Nkunku. He is just one of those left footers that glue the ball only to their right. Just watch messi, he has a strong right foot but does he control with it often???

Do you think at Brighton he can play in the midfield two with a ball winner? His passing seems really good but I wonder if this position would be a waste of potential. I can’t see him being used as an attacking midfielder with Joao Pedro there but I wonder if he’ll play on the right as it’s an area we need more cover in but solly March has had a great season and de zerbi loves him.
