- It has been one year since the day that change my life forever. My body has to relearn how to do every thing from riding my BMX bike at a professional level all the way to learning how to tie my shoes again. Even though I was supposed to never walk again I am now up on my feet living a normal life even driving a car. In this video I show a timeline of my past year from October 12, 2016 to October 12, 2017 and I show every milestone that I have conquered along the way. Thank you to everyone that watched my videos and lended a helping hand along the way. I couldn't have done it without you all.

Scotty, as someone with a permanent spinal cord injury, I get so much joy in seeing not only your recovery but also your attitude. You don’t ever complain and you work so hard. Everyone deals with adversity and you have two choices; complain or do something about it. I’ve been a paraplegic for 5 years and seeing your videos brings me so much joy. I do as I had a similar accident you can say I got lucky but I still face issues.. People don't realize how hard recovery can be, I also did a whole story vlog and I landed head first on some cobblestone here in Amsterdam. Seeing Scotty talk about this is amazing, I can relate to some of the issues he mentioned..
Scotty this is the first time I've seen all your crash videos. I have followed your channel for months but I could never bring myself to watch them. You are my biggest inspiration in life. You and the whole crew. You will never know how much you helped me. You are the strongest person I have ever seen and the most dedicated at everything you do. The footage of you repeating your channel outro in the hospital sent shivers through my body it was incredible to me that your are so dedicated that even in that condition you were actually devoting the only energy you had to the people around you thinking about how you were going to figure out another video. You've genuinely become a hero and an idol of mine, Scotty. I always loved watching you ride as another rider and you became the next huge BMX star. Your crash devastated me, and the fact that you can't do what you love upsets me. I'm so proud of your progress. I, like you, was afraid you'd never be able to walk again. On August 26 2016 I crashed in my bike on a level comparable to Scotty. I don’t have any recollection of how I crashed, but I had a friend with me and he saw me slam my face into the ground and loose teeth and then I got up and screamed and fell on my face again. I ended up shattering my forehead and having major fractures all throughout my face. When I was taking to the hospital couldn’t move anything for a few days, however I did get my movement back with ease. For the first week I was in the hospital I was undergoing constant reconstruction surgery on my forehead and they were also trying to get me to show signs that I was still there mentally. Now after more than a year I can ride my bike again and I haven’t lost any physical abilities like Scotty unfortunately has. Throughout my awful year I watched this channel constantly and when Scotty crashed something was kind of spooky about it.... thank you Scotty or big boy if you see this for helping me through the hardest year of my life, and even though I was never affected, thank you big boy for helping Scotty and being the best friend to Scotty. If you made it this far, I hope you have a great day or sleep. And if you reading this are in or have been in a life changing situation I’d like to hear about it.

Shout out to you Scotty, excellent recovery, I'll also dislocated and fractured my leg about 5 months ago and can still walk like a normal guy, any way stay strong.

I started watching you ride when you were around 16 years old and even back then I realised just how special you were as a bike rider. But now Scotty, I realise how special you are as a person. I’m not gonna lie. I cried a couple times whilst watching this video. I’ve been subscribed to this channel for a little over 1.5 years and I was absolutely devastated and in disbelief when I saw big-boy making a video about your crash. I’m so proud of how far you have come from being told you may not be able to walk ever again to being able to ride a bike and live a normal life again. Scotty you are truly an inspiration, but I want to let Big Boy know how fucking proud of him I am. Not only has he been there everyday helping with the channel. The amount of change he has made over the course of a year is amazing, he dropped all that weight and has put on a ton of time in the gym. And he is making leaps and bounds when it comes to his riding. If you get hurt or end up in a rough place live like Scotty, but live everyday like Big Boy, be the best person you can.
