When I was 54 my dr told me I was prediabetic and obese and that if I didn’t change my diet I was going to become diabetic and go on meds. I totally quit drinking sodas and eating white bread and sweets. A year later I’ve lost 25 pounds, normalized my blood sugar and I’m no longer obese and in the best health I’ve been in decades. A few months ago I bought a soda that I used to love and I couldn’t drink it because it was too sweet. This video is all true!
That is all so fantastic, way to go brother! You can inspire many others out there. And if looking for a more comprehensive approach to your overall health, today is the last day of our end-of-summer sale we have going on at the FFP: www.fitfatherproject.com/end-of-summer-2024-nc-ff30x Best of luck! -The FFP Team
I quit sugar about a month ago. It changed my life!!! I just turned 60 and was having alot of latent pain. Stopping the sugar made the pain go away by 70% or more! Nobody told me this would happen. I had pre-diabetic glucose levels 6 months ago. I'm getting things under control now. Quitting sugar has allowed me the feeling good to keep pursuing good health goals. QUIT SUGAR! It will change your life for the better.
I quit drinking and cigarettes 2 and a half years ago. No joke, this addiction is right up there with them. Giving myself every excuse in the book to have another pop or snack cake. I know what I need to do. Just have to stick to the game plan and remember how much it is ruining our bodies and minds. An ex of mine, her mom, let it slowly consume her limb by limb until she finally passed. It's crazy how short our memory can be to want to feel that "high" again. Just to feel shame and disappointment afterward. Stay strong, friends. It is clearly a struggle for many.
You gain freedom in your life by giving up the power of sugar. I have broken the sugar addiction. My BP has gone down, and I'm not hungry all the time like before, and I don't crave it. 🙏🏾🙌🏾
I broke sugar addiction for several years, and unfortunately have gone back to it. I definitely noticed a difference & i lost the cravings after a few weeks. It was a slow transition getting off Keto, but I’m back in the sugar binges, but not nearly as bad. It’s more intermittent binging sugars.

I've lost 110lbs over 8 years mostly through just cutting out sugar and eating ketogenicly. I wish i could convince the rest of my family how much of a passion sugar is.
I started a sugar detox on September 1 of this month. I had to because my Dr. toke me I need to lose weight. It's the one thing I'm doing wrong but it's huge. I work out, walk, and otherwise eat a mostly plant-based diet (vegetarian for 8 years and was crushing it early on, not as much the last year or so).I'm eating more fruit and need to give up the Zero sodas.

Thanks for writing in and great question! Ideally, your partner will realize this journey is important to you (and hopefully them) and will support you and your endeavors. However, a crude way of approaching this is to have them keep their goodies in a spot away from you, asking them to compromise and indulge when separate from each other. A little suspect but still an effective approach. And if looking for a more comprehensive approach to your overall health, today is the last day of our end-of-summer sale we have going on at the FMP: www.fitmotherproject.com/end-of-summer-2024-nc-fm30x/ Best of luck! -The FFP Team
That people eat way to much sugar is a fact that no one can deny. But to compare a sugar addiction to a narcotics addiction is professionally irresponsible. Either you have never worked with and have no understanding of folks addicted to heroin or meth, or you are willing to say anything just to get likes and subscribers.
Preach it brother. I am starting my 2nd month of a carnivore diet and the sugar cravings have been the hardest part. I'm not sure if my weight loss and energy increase is due to not eating sugar or the carnivore diet, or both. I do know that I don't want to go back. I plan to add fresh veggies and fruits back in eventually, but for now I need to hold the course. It really irritates me that there is so much hidden sugar in our foods.
We couldn't agree more and kudos to you for making a change. I purposed on 9/5/24 I was going g to get off sugar. My health isn't bad, my doctor told me, he did say my sugar was kinder high. I do have bad insomnia for years and I got off the caffeine, but I went to decaf, though the caffeine was low, I got dependent on that. I got off that, even tea with caffeine doesn't help. Your video on being addicted to sugar I knew I was, but wasn't willing to make any great effect to get off. Now, I have the mind to go all the way.

I’m Michael and I’m addicted to soda
Power in this admission brother. Why do you want to break free from addiction to soda?
What do we do when WE want to do this but our partner isn't interested, and so sweets are in the house?
