I played in the beginning and recently played some games again to benchmark my newest build and I remembered why I stopped playing in the first place....the map destruction the random events like low gravity alien invasions it's just to much to be honest, the gun play is really good tho and the game mode is unique but that's all it's got going for it...
Still playing it currently, game is fun, although incredibly meta-based such as COD. The Light in that game, is RIDICULOUS now. If you’re a solid light player, you’d have no problem wiping out a team. Whether that’s with Mac 10, shotgun, melee, all while being able to go invisible every 5 seconds. In addition, you’ll out run anyone. Everything about light is OP. Games are more bearable when there’s less of lights running around practically playing like COD. Overall, it’s still a decent game to play, especially being that it’s free.
I still love how people are talking about how schizo the GTA 6 subreddit is when the entirety of the Titanfall fan base have had to watch titanfall 3 started to be made and then killed twice and now they’ve resorted to post-ironic schizoposting about the hair follicles in Gibraltars nose spelling out “cooper”
Played it for a little bit. Movement is too much and the game balance isn’t there. I think it’s also going to flop bc games like these try to look like cod and have objectives like it’s overwatch. It just doesn’t work cohesively.
Its okay not the best good idea and followthrough it j didnt feel right as a solo q player it was worse than playing apex solo q thats ab the only thing that turned me off
I played it on release and it was okay but just progressively made me uninstall because it was just "3rd party fighting, the simulator" like people would straight up kill your team when you're trying to kill the team in the lead and then the team in the lead gets away or even 3rd parties the team that kills you and just walk away with everything and just increase their lead even more. Though I heard the new gamemodes aren't just a 3v3v3v3 so it might be worth playing again

I was accepted into their first round of Steam playtests and they have added quite a bit of QoL improvements, better UI, a few new mechanics and tweaks that wouldn't quite have worked with the first game. There are some improvements to be made though.

The made the portal mechanics take a backseat and are pushing hero shooter systems that nobody wanted or asked for. The game didn't seem to offer nearly enough interest to get new players excited to try it. I imagine the game will be dead in the water when it launches. Which is sad.

Generic is the nicest way I can put it, which for a game that supposed to be about using portals tactically is just disappointing. Regardless if the game CAN be made into something special, the game will be dead on arrival if nobody plays it. Splitgate 1 died to a lack of a large enough player base, and it doesn't seem like the devs are taking the right approaches to avoid that happening this time around. I know me, everyone I've played Splitgate with in the past, and a vast majority of the community coming from the first game are not hyped at all for the sequel after trying the playtest.
I love XDefiant, I just moved on because I haven't liked COD like shooters that much anymore. I've always played those and I've felt the need to finally branch out into other games. That ends up being BR shooters at the moment, which isn't much different, but it feels new while keeping my love for shooters at bay. The netcode was also another big problem, but not my main reason for leaving, I already have bad internet so trading or shots not registering even when it says they do makes the game 100x harsher to play.
Keep playing the finals, I absolutely love the game, everything about it feels so smooth which makes sense since it was made by ex battlefield developers who started their own game studio

Idk about u but it's what makes The Finals very fun, special and different from other ordinary popular fps shooter games and the devs have also made changes in game respawn system to reduce 3rd party on ranked in the new updates
I absolutely loved xdefiant. Played from release and played a LOT. But at the end of the day, I got super bored with the lack of content. It was so frustrating having an FPS shooter that I genuinely enjoyed, but I had to let it go.
They expanded the trade window in hunt showdown and it was so frustrating I had to stop playing. The worst part is they didn’t even do it because the net code had issues, they did it to make the game easier for people with high ping
To each their own, you play whatever you like, play whatever you want, let people do so and don’t get upset with the people who don’t agree but to me, i genuinely can’t understand how people play this game. Me and a few friends tried it when it originally came out and it was horrific. Guns felt like they had 0 weight to them, everything felt so clunky and jerky, wasn’t smoothed out at all. None of us liked it, wanted to try it again because people never stopped talking about it and I wanted to see the 1 life mode since I’m all for round based one life game modes like Search and Destroy. Tried it with a few friends again and nothing changed. I’ve tried out several of the “cod killer” type games because I genuinely want someone to make a good fps that plays like cod but so far no game has done it for me yet.
the issue with xdefiant is that they didnt capitalize off the hype of the game when it was first in beta, the "fix" to netcode lasted about a year or something and they hadn't fixed a damn thing. I personally stopped playing since sniping was worse than mw2 sniping which was already one of the worst games for sniping since both games were slugish and did not allow for flashy kills and i dont like basic snipes like quickscopes.

Play the finals, free to play, face paced geme with VERY smooth movement, and fully destructable environment (you know it's good when the devs were previous battlefield develoupers)you will get bored every few months, but you will relize there is basically no better games that the finals so you will play it again less than a week (in my opinion)
It doesn’t help that XDefiant also has (or had. I was playing before Season 1) a really slow start with weapons and attachments taking a millennia to unlock for one weapon. It sucks because the game really did feel good to play too and it genuinely was one of the games that I was actually anticipating for since I loved playing the beta.

I haven’t reached level 40 yet in XDefiant so I’m in the low level beginner playlist and so finding games is easy. That’s frustrating to know after I reach level 40 I might not be able to find games :(. BO6 is soo trash I’m not playing that.
Biggest problem with Xdefiant (outside of obvious garbage netcode) is the fact that they pushed a hero shooter in 2024 (one without any actual personality btw) and advertised it as a CoD competitor. They may have been right if we were in 2018 but we aren't

Tried getting into a game during school hours in the morning. Game was absolutely dead could only get a max of 5 people. Then after like 3pm I was able to play a few matches before enough people rage quit to go into a search loop
XDefiant is a great game but yea that netcode is garbage and I definitely wouldn't use it for any benchmarking. The last update killed FPS for many PC users, like I used to get 150 FPS easy and now on some maps I get 70-90. Had to downscale to 1080p from QHD too.

The game isn’t dead, just the non disbanding lobbies are broken. Make a custom playlist with at least two game modes and the matchmaking is fast
The amount of people playing on controller is way higher than with mouse and keyboard, so you can switch if you're desperate for a match
