The Women’s Board of the CSOA cordially invites you to tune in on Saturday, October 24, 2020, as the Chicago Symphony Orchestra hosts a unique and festive musical celebration broadcast digitally to your home. This virtual fundraising event will celebrate our mission, our music, our Maestro and the musicians who make up one of the finest orchestras in the world.
Hosted by the CSO's very own musicians, this festive celebration will include special appearances from Maestro Muti, Yo-Yo Ma, Eric Owens, Missy Mazzoli, Wynton Marsalis, Herbie Hancock, Mitsuko Uchida, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Hilary Hahn, Anita Rachvelishvili and Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute from The Office).
The virtual musical program will consist of works by Beethoven, Ravel, Verne Reynolds, and Elden “Buster” Bailey from Robert Chen (concertmaster), John Sharp (principal cello), Mark Ridenour (assistant principal trumpet), John Hagstrom (trumpet), David Cooper (principal horn), Michael Mulcahy (trombone), Gene Pokorny (principal tuba) and Cynthia Yeh (principal percussion).
Proceeds from this fundraiser will help sustain our orchestra through these challenging times.
