I love this; it expands upon the idea of breaking down something challenging into smaller bits to make it less intimidating; using post its (or anything that blocks out / cuts off measures or sections) is genius!
It's amazing that you can speak while talking. You said in other videos how important it is to learn how to count while playing, I've been trying it out, it is so hard...
I wish i knew this stuff when i was a teenager, not knowing how to practice is such a waste of time. I remember you once said break everything up into phrases richter liked haydn, you can hear his affection for the music in his recordings
Played trumpet for several decades, used to get a piece of music hours before a concert, would go over it just like that. although we used 2 a4 papers instead of post it. This method works wonders
I have been trying to get access to the sightreading class, I enter my name, email address, phone number and submit, but I never receive a reply from you.
My teacher suggested learning a piece one bar at a time but also including the first note of the next bar to help with the transition! 🎼🎹😄
Like the sticker method to help with focus descipline!
Cheers!

YES! Glad you’ve seen it first hand!
Any thoughts on how to use this when your music is on a computer monitor?
Writing on it with a program like preview or zoom!
Stick the post its to the monitor screen. Works for me and leaves no residue
You're a rock star. 😊
(But much nicer.)
Awwww thanks so much!!
Surgeons focus like this during an operation.
