I am an oldie and will never tire of seeing our armed forces marching and the bands playing. Tremendous. My dad served thirty-three years and very proud of him. He is long gone but never forgotten. We Brits do this pageantry so well. God bless all who took part.
Thank you brought back memories of my father who played trombone for the British Royal Marines ,during the war being transferred from ship to ship .He had been on the Hood and lucky him being transferred to another ship before the Hood went down in the north sea. His favourite ship was the H.M.S. Dragon .It was the last ship out of Singapore when it fell into Japanese hands .
We go wherever POTUS sends us … Iraq, Iran,Afghanistan… these blokes have been there … no questions about how phoney the war was or irrelevant to Great Britain … The musicians are stretcher bearers and medics in battle … they do all their music exams … ABRSM…
