I'm confused, why wouldn't players just never attack the player using Hook, thus never giving the Pan card a chance to be played?

@@evansiggson That's a big part of the strategy when playing against Captain Hook. Same with Scar, the Evil Queen, and I'm sure a few others with similar objectives. These villains have cards in their villain decks that allow them to play fate cards on themselves. That's generally how they get the right hero card played. Then once they have the hero card that they need, in this case, Peter Pan, it becomes a mad dash to play fate cards on Captain Hook as much as you can and just completely bombard them.

I recently bought this board game and it didn't come with a lock

I would double check your instructions. These videos were made for the original release of the game which came in a green box with Maleficent on it. I know since then, they released a version with Ursula on the box and it's gray. In that version, the included villains were made to be a bit more simple, so it may be that Captain Hook doesn't require a lock token in that version. If your instructions say to use a lock token, I would reach out to Ravensburger. They'll likely mail you any missing pieces. In the meantime, you can use a piece of paper, a sticky note, or really whatever you have lying around to mark that the location is locked.
