It’d be interesting to see you explore non-central parts of London. There are loads of hidden gems scattered around Zone 2/3

You need to try Deeneys in Leyton! It’s a Scottish cafe serving haggis toasties and they have a Christmas special at the moment!!

White vinegar also works for descaling a kettle! Much cheaper too.

I use the double strength and some lemon slices or skins. Works well to do a microwave too

So fun to see you try the Swedish goodies 🥰 The princess cake is probably the most common cake for birthdays in Sweden, they normally have green marsipan but make it red for Christmas! And the saffron bun is definitely the most eaten pastry around Christmas here 🤗

You can purchase lightbulbs with warm toned light so filming in your kitchen doesn’t look so stark. Indirect light, even a lamp, would surely help too.

You always find the best things to eat! Any time I go into London I end up going somewhere I saw on your videos!
For your scale issues, I can highly recommend that you get a water softener. Makes cleaning so much easier and is better for your appliances etc! I don't drink the softened water, but I do have a Britta kettle which is also great!

Hi Grace, i love your videos and have been watching for years, you're one of my favourite youtubers. I wanted to leave some feedback, and hopefully its not too negative as your videos really are a joy to watch. Lately i notice your camera angles are very close in and low down compared to a few years ago. I understand when youre out near your home, or your husband is around ofc. However, when you're cooking etc, the camera would be much nicer closer to your height rather than looking up, or just a wider shot that includes being able to see the cooking process. I think back to at your parents when you could see more, as currently, it feels like im in a tiny box watching.

I live in London too and I find that limescale build up is slower if I use water that has gone through my filter jug to refill the kettle instead of straight from the tap 😊

Surely the Chestnut roll is just a sausage roll that's from Chestnut bakery? Not an actual roll with chestnuts in!! That's what I thought it would be anyway

Just look for a kettle de-scaler in the supermarket or use white vinegar.

White vinegar 14% works perfectly! Just boil 50cl vinegar in your kettle. Let it sit for 30min and then rince and boil water a couple of times ❤

You can also ferment your garlic for easier digestion (although fresh garlic is so beneficial for health).
Simply put peeled garlic in a mason jar and cover with extra virgin olive oil, leaving it for three weeks on the counter.
The result is a gorgeous garlic oil that you can drizzle on pizzas along with the fermented garlic to use as you wish.

ive always hesitated on fermenting garlic at home in oil or honey due to supposed botulism risks? is this something you have ever been concerned about or is it overreaction/ misinformation?

    • @FlapjackR
      @FlapjackR 6 месяцев назад +1

@@dogdream789 You can visually tell it most fermentations have gone awry.
Botulism is used to fear monger us away from the healthier choice of fermentation a lot but if you follow correct salt/water rules you should have a healthy and successful ferment.
