  • Designed in Australia, Fjord Lines' FSTR is the largest high speed aluminium ferry ever constructed in the Philippines - capable of transporting 1,200 passengers at speeds up to 40 knots. The striking looking vessel features Austal’s largest ever vehicle-carrying capacity to date, with a beam of 30.5 metres, enabling 404 cars to be carried across two decks.
    The ship features several key design innovations that enhance operating performance and passenger comfort, including a new, optimised hull form that will minimise fuel consumption and wake wash when operating on the Skagerrak Sea between Hirtshals, Denmark and Kristiansand, Norway.

    Austal, thank you for your enlightening vlogs. All the vessels produced are beautiful. You are a blessing to the Pilipino people as you have created many jobs for them. Where does the aluminium come from? I hope that you have return to Oz mfg as the shoddy stuff you got from our wonderful bully "mates" must have set back your building program. Is there any country in the world producing the ships which you do? How many employees in WA/ Philippines/elsewhere?

    Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
    That saved a wretch like me!
    I once was lost, but now am found;
    Was blind, but now I see.
    Through many dangers, toils and snares,
    I have already come;
    ’Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far,
    And grace will lead me home.
    The Lord has promised good to me,
    His Word my hope secures;
    He will my Shield and Portion be,
    As long as life endures.
    Yea, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
    And mortal life shall cease,
    I shall possess, within the veil,
    A life of joy and peace.
    The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
    The sun forbear to shine;
    But God, who called me here below,
    Will be forever mine.
    When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
    Bright shining as the sun,
    We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
    Than when we’d first begun.
