The Bergman Boxset is the greatest thing Criterion will ever make (until they do a full Kurosawa blu ray boxset)
I personally would love a Michael Haneke box set.
After I ordered the Bergman box set, I kinda regretted it. And then it arrived. No regret whatsoever. It truly is the greatest single item in the Criterion catalog. It's what Barnes & Noble and 50% off flash sales were made for.
Also nice to see an unboxing/rec video by someone who's actually seen and loves the movies! What's with all these RUclipsrs recommending Criterions films that they haven't seen???

Did the whole Fellini from front to back. It was a tiny bit of a chore but after I was done, I was so glad I did so. One of my favorite boxsets i've done. Enjoy!
I've only seen a handful of Fellini films, unlike Bergman. I've been slowly going through them and I've been enjoying them.
The Agnes Varda set is even more comprehensive, every film she ever made. With the Olympics starting today I’m delving back into the Criterion Olympic films box set again which is also an impressive collection of films. I bought the Bergman and Fellini sets as well but it’s frustrating when you buy all the Bergman films separately and THEN they release a box set.
Let's be honest, though. The Persona digipak is mighty and worth owning on its own in addition to the Bergman box
The Fellini set is a collection of the greatest movies ever made!
No one on God's earth is like Fellini and his movies are unique and watchable many, many times unlike most movies (not so true with foreign films!).
Unlike most people on Earth, I consider "La Dolce Vita" as his greatest film, but "81/2" is up there too.
To start with the first movie Fellini ever made and to go through each subsequent film to his last film is an experience you will never forget.
It will convince you how great Fellini was! God bless you, Federico!

Bergman box is a grail. Wow, beautiful... Also appropriately grey-scale in its design. Although, how great would it have been if they made the disc red for Cries and Whispers, orange for Autumn Sonata, brown for Fanny & Alexander and beige for Scenes From A Marriage!

When I opened my Bergman set, it blew my mind to find out the booklet is where all the weight was coming from.
