A friendly correction. The name Jaime is pronounced "Hi-meh" because in Spanish the letter J has an English H sound.
His name on the card too should be spelled as Jaime. And not Jamie. 😊

The funny thing is his name gets mispronounced at one point in the movie. I know this feeling too well as my name is also Jaime.
@@HausOfLuevano yeah. That movie was awful tho. So let’s forget it existed & remember that far more superior adaptation of Blue Beetle which is Young Justice Invasion which actually got his story right unlike the garbage dc just spewed out in movie form

I got the battle mode version but cut the wings and kept the scarab spikes coming up over the shoulders. I ended up liking it more now and doesn't take up the display space with the wingspan for me.
The "diaper" works on some figures, but not others. If the character has a full body suit like Nighywing, it doesnt work because it breaks the illusion of a 1 piece suit. If its a Superman ir Batman style suit, it works really well.

I know that there is not a lot of marketing for this movie because James Gunn is rebooting the DCU but to me, This Blue Beetle is so cool despite having the overall texture which does make 100% sense because the scarab gives you a very alien tech like armor, I do hope the movie is good and great review on Blue Beetle Brad.
It’s still gonna be canon to the new DCU reboot, it’s just not getting a lot of marketing sadly cause of the strikes
Great looking figure... Ted Kord will always be my Blue Beetle, but love this too... hope the movie does well, though my gut tells me it will go the way of The Flash (which I thought was great)!

If they were going to do two versions, they should’ve at least given us a different expression or an unmasked head along with the arms without the wings. Also weird how the one with all the weapons isn’t referred as the “Battle Mode” version…

I wanted to laugh at you for not knowing the forearm came off, but I didn't even check on the winged version and have been swapping the entire arms between figures to do the gun arm with wings look so...
Oh how I wish Booster and Ted from that 2-pack had clear goggles....

The pauldrons should be attached to a ring that goes inside the shoulder joint. It's the way Marvel Legends has been doing pauldrons lately and it's the best solution I've seen, as well as being a really easy one.
It's also ridiculous that all of the accessories don't come together.

Hi Brad! I don't know if you could do these suggested videos, but would you mind reviewing DC Collectibles Arrowverse 7 inch scale figures in the near future? DC Collectibles made some interesting characters such as Atom, Hawkgirl, Firestorm, Green Arrow himself, Black Canary, Flash and his rogue gallery, you could literally make a Justice League out of these! Anyway, hope for the best!

These look nice. Love the metallic blue paint. Just don't like the diaper thing though not so prominent in this being black still it resists movement which is sad
IF they make this dude into one packaging, with gun, blade, wings,and hands, then sell it with 35-40 dollars, I will catch it immediately!
2 separate packs with $25 each is a lot!!

I don't hate diapers in general, I hate ugly weird looking carelessly designed character-ruining diapers. Like the Captain Atom one.
It's really cool but godammit I don't what to buy two of the same but I wish I had all the accesories😅 I understand the choice according to McFarlane toys commercial model, but maybe in the future he could make like some offerings with more accessories at a bit higher price 🤔 I for one like the choice of the diaper, I hate how ugly and unnatural the groin part on figures were the legs connection is visible with a huge gap, it looks like very outdated and robotic.the only thing McFarlane have to work is in a bit of finesse on how cut it out so it doesn't look like a huge corset , and it constraints both the leg and the abdominal articulation.

The McFarlane blue beetle doesn’t actually look too bad but I’m gonna wait till SH Figuarts make there version of blue beetle.
Normies gonna call him a Spider-Man/ Iron Man clone. The figures look good though, even the non McFarlane ones.
I wish Todd would stop using renders for the cards. For the live action figs, it should be the actors in the suits. And I wish they added back the height, weight, & source back on the cards
I just wish he had thigh cuts. I dont know why McFarlane is so allergic to it. A lithe character like this needs the extra articulation

Does the McFarlane toystore update you when your pre order ships? I preordered mine a week ago and they haven’t updated me. I thought pre orders from the McFarlane store arrive after only two weeks
It's kinda stupid that they didnt do 2 scarab swords and two blasters im most likely gonna have to buy two blue beetles with their weapons and one battle mode

Since you brought it up, the reason I hate the "diaper" that he's using is there's a few where it gets in the way of the leg joints. Idk if it's just bad luck of the draw on the figure or if the figures ive had it on are on every one produced. (Meaning I have a Batman idr which off hand but idk if it's just my Batman or the entirety of that specific figure). But iirc it was cut too high so you'd have to kinda pull it out of the leg. It just got annoying and I don't like that there's rubber on the figure itself. (Certain figures you might need to use rubber and that's fine, but it feels like it's better for batman's ears or someone's hair). So that's my reasoning for not liking it.

Only real difference is the scarab on the non flying one/the real Battle Mode bc it comes with weapons, the scarab looks like it one piece & there’s no gap in it

I am stoked for this movie. It's a crime that it's taken this long for a live-action superhero movie to center a latino hero. I mean, Miles Morales is afrolatino, and that's awesome, but like I said, live-action, so this feels kinda awesome.
(Helps I am a big Jaimes Reyes fan, anyway, and I love how colorful he looks. No muted, low-saturated crumminess here, but COLORFUL.)
Love how good it looks. Gonna get both for all the accessories (wish there was a scarab without wings but with the long antenna, cause the basic one just doesn’t look as good). Can’t wait for the movie
