- Returning from Makers Central I bought some ring blanks, and breaking a long channel silence, I thought a small and quick project would be just the thing to start creating again.

Here man I watched this last week and ordered a Core. You make this look incredibly easy. It’s quite difficult but great fun to try. Thanks
Gareth c they are lots of fun, and will get simpler the more you make :)
Yuval
Beautiful Yuval. Your videos keep me turning.
Thanks mate... been out of the game for a while, but I'm dreaming about a comeback...
Yuval
Great job Yuval, a ring that your wife should be very proud of! There’s nothing better than home made! Cheers, Sean
Thanks Sean!! She did love it! :)
Yuval
Great job!!
Thank you guys!
Yuval
I usually don't watch videos on rings, but boy I am glad I did. Great video, great job, and I loved the music! Good job.
Thanks Billy, I usually don't turn rings, but man I'm glad I did ;) It was a fun little project, on the whole these could be done in 20-30 minutes each if you're set up correctly, and It's always a challenge to turn something small or extra delicate. Thanks for watching :)
Yuval
Great ring love the video
Thanks Brett!
Yuval

Any time Steve!! Lovely item to have in your shop, hope this leads to some rings going around! :)
I will be making a few more in the near future.

Yuval

Thanks buddy!!
Yuval
Thankyou Yuval for the video, good to see you back. You have been about a bit these few past weeks good on you. Going to get me some ring blanks, you can turn so many biros. Cheers mate Roger 🇦🇺......
Thanks Roger! It's good to be back! And I'll be turning more of these in the future. Pens are fun, but get repetitive, adding a few small items would be a nice change and variety.
Yuval
Very precise and incredible. Normally I see them turned in they are glued in the core first.
I was too scared to scuff the ring material in the process to do that...
Yuval
Very well made video Yuval! And a nice project. I was hypnotized by it and now must give this a try.
Thanks Jimmie!! And you should!
Yuval
Looks fantastic Yuval. Thanks for the link..
Thanks Greme! Glad you liked it!
Yuval

Thanks Glyn! A nice little project to pass some time at the shop while something is drying, you know... :)

Thanks JP! There's more that can be explored here... :)
Yuval
😎
I missed you Yuval! Great video very informative and entertaining at the same time. I need to put this on my 'turn it list.
Thanks William! Just getting my turning hands back!
Yuval
As always great job and unusual project thinking of making some myself 👍👍👍👍
Thank you Barry! You should make some. I took one path in making these, the process can be different, I can think of 5 different ways to turn these, and I chose the "hardest" one because I like to show off my tool control ;)
Yuval
Very cool job 👍🏼
Thanks Tomas!
Yuval
beautiful ring!
Thank you Corey!
Yuval
Brilliant Yuval👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Alan! :)
Yuval

Yuval
@@yuvallahav Certainly just let me know when you are planning to come round this way
Great work Yuval you make it look so easy and I know it's not.i got some from Steve and put milliput in them and they turned out ok especially if you mix the colours.they are really good ring blanks too
All the best les
Thanks Les! I never worked with milliput, but I see some interesting things done with it... I will have to get to it one day, but last time I checked, they were not shipping to Italy. Some day... :)
Yuval
Very nice!
Thanks!
Yuval
Great Job buddy.. I like it .. keep going !
Thanks man, and thanks for watching, I know you have 2 videos out I still need to watch but I've been out of the loop for a few months now, I hope to clean out my watch list. Going to take a few hours today to make it so.
Yuval
AGain great video and great music selection.
Thanks you! I do try my best ;)
Yuval
Beautiful as always Yuval :-)
Thanks hun!! :)
Yuval
Interesting project Yuval, a very unique way of creating a personal gift. I’d love to give it a try, but my tired old eyes would be more of a hindrance than help.
Good to see you back.
All the best
Geof
Thank Geof!! I've been hearing some good things about this new invention called eye (or seeing) glasses, work wonders even on my young eyes! ;)
Yuval
Excellent, very nice...
Cheers...
Thanks Adam!
Yuval
Beautiful work Yuval! I have always wanted to try one of these but never could find a good reliable source for the ring cores, thanks for sharing, good to have you back!
Thank you!! It feels good to be back, now I need to carry on and not get lazy ;)
Yuval
Muito bem feito Yuval. Gosto muito dos teus trabalhos! Abraço
Thank you Antonio!
Yuval
Stunning work as always, Yuval. I have yet to brave something so small and delicate as this sort of thing but I definitely want to, certainly after seeing this vid! :-)
Lovely job Yuval, you make it look so easy.i got some from Steve and used some miliput in them and they turned out ok especially if you mix the colours.they are really good ring blanks too.
Thanks Matt! Small is harder, but quicker, so if you like a challenge, it's perfect :)
Yuval
Thanks Les! They do look fantastic and I have a few more idea for these....
Yuval
Yuval Lahav Woodturning where can we buy the ring blanks? Thanks
Check the video description, the link is there.
Yuval
Hi Yuval! Beautiful ring my friend, I am sure your wife will love it. Isn't it incredible the difference in density between the sapwood and the hardwood in that ebony? I saw that you had to use CA glue to harden the sapwood. But it was worth the effort since the combination of colors look phenomenal. Cheers! Daniel
Thank you Daniel!! It's been a while since I've seen you! How are doing? still turning spokes for your wheels??! :)
Yuval
Cool...smiles... I’ve wondered how these were made!
Well now you know, start making some yourself, it's a good starter project! :)
Yuval
Very nice. I like how you make little chucks for your projects. How did you attaché the buffing wheel to your lathe?
Thanks Justin! The buffing wheel is attached using a morse cone, or can be grabbed with a chuck. It's a Chestnut buffing system I bought in the last Makers Central.
Yuval
That was a great video Yuval. the ring blanks are a really great idea, and the ring you turned was beautiful my friend.
Take care.
Mike
Thanks Mike! Really appreciate it! Going to play around some more with these...
Yuval
Neat.
Thanks!
Yuval
Yeah!
Ehehehe, thanks buddy!!
Yuval
Excellent work Yuval as always, could you use a thin cyanoacrylate glue for a finish but don't put the wooden ring onto the metal ring while finishing.
Thank you Carl! a CA finish will work find, the only problem is my wife is allergic to many things, I wanted the ring to be as chemically clean as possible.
Yuval
Well done great!
How do you get the toroidal cores?
Thank you!
You can find the link to where I got them from in the video description.
Yuval
Hello, I really liked your rings. I would like to know where you can buy blanks for making metal rings? What metal are these blanks made of? I myself am from Kazakhstan, I would like to start making rings. I would be grateful if you answer!
Thank you Pavel! Sadly the seller of these rings have gone out of buisness, he was from the UK. The rings are made of titanium.
Yuval
Great looking ring Yuval, it looks stunning, I need to make one for me since I lost my wedding ring in the Mediterranean sea and my wife's ring is too small for her too.
But unfortunately sizes they offer are to small for me :(
Thanks Karol! I think some of the blanks I got were quite large, but then again, you are not a small guy ;) Nothing a hack saw wouldn't fix! (for the ring, not your finger!!).
😂😂😂😂😂😂phew! Don't want you to hacksaw your finger off 😂
Hi, good video!!!!!.
Could you tell me where did you get the metal parts?
The link to the online store where I got them is in the video description down below.
I want try these also
And you should!! :)
Yuval
Did you glue the ebony to the ring core? I have some cores but the directions have you glue the blank to the core..
I did not glue it to the core for a few reasons, first and most since I'm still checking other possibilities for making these rings, I might want to reuse that core...
Yuval
Nice video, Yuval.
The ring looks very nice.
Where can you buy the ring blanks?
Thanks Gunter! I got the rings here, they do ship internationally:
turnerswoodproducts.com/products
Yuval
Thank you, Yuval
Awesome video, awesome song... may I get the artist and name of song?
Thanks! It's in the video description!
Hi, where can I find the screw base you used to create the ring? Thanks
Hi Fausto, check out the video description, the link to where to buy the ring blanks is there.
Yuval
@@yuvallahav thanks but your site turnerswoodproducts.com/products is not working
That's not my site, it's a friend site. I'll check to see if it's working or not.
Yuval
Really nice, Yuval. Good call on the mixed heartwood/sapwood -- it looks great. Now tell us, did you make the ring for your wife because you've been a bad boy, or because she's been a good girl? :-) Clyde
Eheheh, thanks Clyde! Alas, I wasn't a bad boy, and she wasn't particularly good, but you know, I'm the kind of guy that needs a good excuse to get off my ass and make something :)
Yuval
Sweet !!! The delicate and precise nature of the rings is exactly what I would expect you to tackle. Personally I could not see any big difference in sheen. Your critical eye astounds me.
Thanks buddy! The difference is not large, but it's there, and you know people like me, always criticizing our own handy work... :)
Yuval
Nice! Could'nt you just cut a piece the right width and drill a hole the size of the ring insert. And turn it already on the ring so to say?
I could have Gunner, but where's the fun in that??!
Yuval
👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧....
Thank Allen!
Yuval
:O
Thanks bud!!
Nice but way way too much metal showing.
Thanks Don! It is, after all, a matter of taste. Rings can be made all wood, you know ;)
Yuval
