Scrap Pallet Wood Bird Boxes

Made some scrap pallet wood bird boxes for my wife school. had some old pallets kicking about and my wife asked if i could make some bird boxes for her schools wild garden. so we cut them down into planks the sanded then ( which took ages) as they where narrow planks i decided to glue them to some 5mm ply to give me some 15mm wide boards which we could cut the parts from.
turned out pretty good for scrap wood.

Great idea but.....the poor birdies don't have a perch to stand / land on before entering the box.

Thanks Adrian I thought that but on the rspb web site their plans don’t have a perch on them.
