Legendary MP40 Full Auto & Slow Motion

The MP40 submachine gun, also known as the Maschinenpistole 40, was a weapon used extensively by the Axis powers during World War II. It was chambered for the 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge and was designed in Nazi Germany in 1938 by Heinrich Vollmer with inspiration from its predecessor, the MP 38. The MP40 was heavily used by infantrymen, particularly platoon and squad leaders, and by paratroopers, on the Eastern and Western Fronts as well as armoured fighting vehicle crews. Its advanced and modern features made it a favorite among soldiers and popular in countries from various parts of the world after the war.
The MP40 was a submachine gun that weighed 3.97 kg and had a length of 833 mm with the stock extended and 630 mm with the stock folded. It had a straight blowback, open bolt action, and a rate of fire of 500-550 rounds per minute. The MP40 had a 32-round detachable box magazine, which could be extended to 64 rounds with dual magazines. The weapon’s effective firing range was between 100-200 m and its maximum firing range was 250 meters. The MP40 was a further simplification of the MP38, with certain cost-saving alterations, most notably in the more extensive use of stamped steel rather than machined parts.
The MP40 was produced by Erma Werke from 1940 to 1945, with an estimated 1.1 million units produced. The MP40 was a turning point in submachine gun design and manufacture, pioneering the use of economical and lightweight materials such as aluminum, plastic, and sheet metal 2. The MP40 was often called “Schmeisser” by the Allies, after Hugo Schmeisser, who designed the MP18, although he was not involved in the design or production of the MP40. Today, the MP40 is a popular collector’s item and is often used in movies and video games.
