They made up bullshit. They received uniforms and lights and other “services”. WhTever that even means. Why not outright say they were being solicited for prostitution by police officers instead of purchasing crap for the cops.
@@fawnnahh7438 Because the police made it so they WEREN'T soliciting the girls for prostitution. Prostitution is a paid-for service. But it sounds like the girls were co-erced into having sex with the officers to avoid being shut down. No payment was involved, thus it doesn't count as prostitution. And in case someone DID look into the police's shady business with the "massage parlour", the police could simply use the "gifts" they received (e.g. lights, uniforms, etc) as "proof" that they were only having sex with the girls and not soliciting prostitution. After all, you don't buy gifts for a client. You buy gifts for a lover. It's the perfect cover.....and the perfect way to exploit the large amount of money the girls were making.
The POLICE force is saying that Ed Carter was a janitor at this parlour? What police officer would work as a janitor at a parlour? Clear conspiracy going on. Perhaps he had money issues or God knows what but he was for sure not a janitor. The police force are ashamed to admit they were regular clients at the parlour.
Amy's husband, Steve did not kill her as far as I'm concerned.. I'm usually sold on the husband when a wife is murdered or goes missing. But not this time. As for the polygraph, i wouldn't take one ether. They are highly inaccurate.
Think about all the people who are never investigated further JUST bc they pass a polygraph test but most likely did it. So think about the reverse how many people that it’s twisted into making the evidence show they did it JUST bc they failed the polygraph, and the polygraph is known to be inaccurate in most cases. Even if it does come up “inconclusive” most people will automatically assume that means guilty. I don’t blame the guy
@@LABoutaBagDoe that's why real innocent people sit in jail because other feel like someone seems guilty. My husband would be one of them if something happened to me . He doesn't show emotion so he would be guilty by people that feel like he seems guilty
Unsolved was really ahead of it's time- most of the episodes that deal with sex work it is always tempered with a bit of why so many turn to this work or forced into this work and it is never judgemental in dealing with sex workers.
A bear could have killed the marathon runner. Both black and grizzly bears are all over Wyoming. Not to mention the wolves and mountain lions also found there.
the guy in the road rage murder is a cold blooded pre meditated murder. He didn't lose his temper, snap his fingers and have a gun just appear, he already had a loaded gun and the fact that he used it over something so trivial proves hands down beyond any shadow of a doubt that he had already planned on killing someone and was looking for an excuse to use it..
No one should take a polygraph test, they are pseudoscience and cannot be be used in a court of law FOR A REASON. The lawyer's statements about polygraphs in this report were completely correct. Do not be intimidated or threatened by police. Always, always get a lawyer. Is is your RIGHT and is not indicative of any kind of guilt.
Exactly whether you are guilty or not the minute the police want a polygraph or want to question you or arrest you you say I want a lawyer to Then you shut the hell up.
Road rage is such a horrifying segment. Where I live in Australia it is illegal now to own a personal gun. His bad temper does not excuse what he did. He is a murderer.
@Alf Tanner Their schools aren't shot up like ours are, and they don't have the hundreds of thousands gun deaths either so I think I'll take that over your paranoid delusion you're going to shoot some rando that breaks into your house. You're more likely to hurt yourself or someone in your family.
@Hyperskreem 82 We can own guns for a legit reason, a lot of farmers have guns to kill pests like kangaroos! Hunting isn’t as popular here, mainly because we don’t really have ‘eating’ stock like deer running around (not as much anyway) and we don’t have as big a gun culture as you guys do (not being facetious, it’s just how it is here) but unless there’s a law I’m not aware of we can hunt if we want to!
Actually some sex workers have good relationships with their madams/brothel owners. A pimp is sth. different. Look it up (if you're not just a part of the general outrage brigade). Had you said "I wouldn't take just her word for it" though, I'd get behind that😆
@@annnee6818 I fail to see the difference between a madame and a pimp. Anyone who runs a brothel is victimizing young women. Period. It may be more classy than being on the streets but it's still wrong. I respect her for taking responsibility for them and even that's limited.
Usually I don't automatically accuse the husband in missing wife cases, but Steve's story doesn't add up. We only have his word that she even went running that day. He could have easily done something to her the night before or that morning. Did the friends see her that morning, did anyone catch that? Did the errands she supposedly ran that day get confirmed?

Poor Richard Anderson, he was involved in a car accident and lost his life at the hands of a deranged driver! Bring some proof... umm YOU are the police, It is YOUR JOB to find the proof not for citizens to bring it and drop it in your lap. What the Hell is that guy even talking about. .... worked as a janitor ... LMFAO. Is this guy for real! Anyway I’ve seen this on a forensics type show so pretty sure it got solved. Or either was dateline or something but if I remember correctly pretty sure they were involved. Either way Tammy obviously feels confident they are involved bc she put herself on the line risking her own well being coming out in the open. It takes a lot to go up against the police ESPECIALLY when she has a business that isn’t exactly above board. So I definitely take her seriously, no doubt about it.
@@EssexAggiegrad2011 But it's not their JOB to bring proof, it's the police officers job to preserve the crime scene and collect evidence/proof!! Something they didn't do and had no interest in doing judging by the guys "Bring me evidence and proof" comment.

Cops and ppl in city government are the biggest proprietors of prostitution. They use their titles as leverage to pressure these women in free sex! Once had the Department or city cover up to save face. No doubt the police had everything to do with these women turning up deceased.

31:10 - 31:32 That’s a great lecture however in the 20+ years it has gotten even worse you have social media now and people discussing their political views, trolls and their thoughts at their fingertips.
I think it's far more likely a young attractive woman jogging all alone in the middle of nowhere would have been an easy target for a crazed lunatic with a gun or a knife. But I'm not ruling out the husband. He should take a polygraph test under these conditions. 1: it is administered by a polygraph expert and not a police detective who's using his 5 yo son's toy detective badge. 2: he has his Attorney present as well as the prospecting Attorney plus someone who's neutral. They go over the questions before hand to determine if they are all appropriate and finally it should be recorded both visually and audially with a time stamp to prevent tampering.
It might have been the start of the cancer, but he was also in his 80s by now. It's not uncommon for peoples' vocal cords to weaken/stiffen in old age, which is why the elderly often develop weak, hoarse, or frail sounding voices.

When were birth control pills invented or condoms? Maybe not in this case because I didn't pay attention to when this was, but this kind of thing happens even today and not too long back. Typical cops! When you open a “massage parlour” in a little town of course there’ll be corruption. The corruption is everywhere just worse in lil towns
I live in a small town with shifty cops and the worst part is knowing they will always get away with it. Their buddies with every agency that could take them down or do something about the corruption. So they all plot together and know damn well they won't have to answer for it. From drugs, to murder, to missing people.. these cops and city hall is terrifying. The police just shot and killed a mentally ill man having a psychotic break and the department was issued raises for the stress that it caused them; they announced it in the fucking local paper! Can't make that shit up.
Regarding the case about Amy B.....who takes their wallet with them while they're jogging. She would either leave that at home or in the car. Nobody jogs carrying their wallet. That would be bulky and where would you put it on your person?
You take your wallet bc you're driving a car and then don't want to leave the wallet just sitting in your car while you're running. So you take it with you. Pretty simple.
Amy Wroe Bechtel, a woman who disappeared in 1997 from Lander, Wyoming, is considered by law enforcement to be among the Great Basin killer's potential victims.[23] Bechtel disappeared while going for a run outside Lander.[24] When her husband returned home at 4:30 p.m., she was not home. Bechtel's white Toyota station wagon was found parked off a dirt road in the Shoshone Forest. No trace of Bechtel has been found but subsequent investigation placed Eaton on business in the area around the time of the disappearance.[25] Killer Dale Wayne Eaton has refused to talk about her murder
no your not their mom , their mom wouldn't let them be a prositute.. they want money to support themselves or their children then find a regular job... there are better ways to make a living.
It is beyond sick. My heart breaks for her. She may as well have been raped by her grandfather. And then have her child snatched away from her. It's beyond heartbreaking and deplorable.
The good news is that as of May 2019, Gerry and Terry Robinson were located alive and well, thanks to a DNA match. But the bad, sad news is their mother passed away before they were found and reunited.
If people kept their heads out of their asses and exercised a bit of "common courtesy" the "Road Rage" issue would be far less common. Unfortunately it seems people are generally still pretty content with blasting their music and driving like jack asses in general so the madness will continue.
@@lynncrf Pretty self explanatory if you bothered to read what was posted. Nobody else on the road wants to hear your music blasting, this creates issues. Lack of self control / no regard for others sharing the road creates problems. Common courtesy isn’t always so “common” unfortunately due to the abundance of self absorbed narcissist out there who don’t bother to consider how their behavior impacts others around them.
Landers PD should look into Amy’s case again, ask the FBI for assistance, and go back to the cottage and luminal the ever living shit out of that place. Even with a crime scene established, many prosecutors are still hesitant to try without a body. But it would require a district attorney with enough guts to take the case to trial.
What he meant by that is that they have to eliminate the spouse/partner before they move on to any other suspect, because statistically, women are most likely to be killed by their significant other. But they couldn't eliminate him because he wouldn't cooperate. Ans as long as you can't eliminate the husband, he remains the prime suspect., especially when he refuses to help the investigation.

The real mystery is why can't I stop watching these?
I've watched all episodes at least 5 times.
They are comfy AF.
Glad im not the only one
The real crime in this episode is Steve Bechtel’s wedding shorts......
I actually know a cop that was a janitor when off duty at his church.
That's a church, not a brothel, totally different.

Amy's husband, Steve did not kill her as far as I'm concerned.. I'm usually sold on the husband when a wife is murdered or goes missing. But not this time.
As for the polygraph, i wouldn't take one ether. They are highly inaccurate.
Agreed- i don't think so either.
I remember there was an update on this case. I think it was someone she met on her running route that murdered her. Not the husband.
I Strongly disagree, he seems guilty, it just something about him that I don’t Trust!!
Who is here for the ghost stories? 🙋♀️👻
My favorite ones 😳
Unsolved was really ahead of it's time- most of the episodes that deal with sex work it is always tempered with a bit of why so many turn to this work or forced into this work and it is never judgemental in dealing with sex workers.
A bear could have killed the marathon runner. Both black and grizzly bears are all over Wyoming. Not to mention the wolves and mountain lions also found there.
True, but they probably would have found some remains....bones, clothing, etc if that had happened.
the guy in the road rage murder is a cold blooded pre meditated murder.
Sounds like you’ve had some experience in this area
Road rage is such a horrifying segment. Where I live in Australia it is illegal now to own a personal gun. His bad temper does not excuse what he did. He is a murderer.
Still cant believe that there was no update that they caught that son of a fucking lousy ass bitch!!!
@Gail Hornung I expect that is probably true. Corruption will have found ways for criminals to arm themselves, while law-abiding citizens can't.
It's so common to think of Mexican police corruption, but some American cities are ready to compete hard as well !
The Madame wants the town to start anew and end the corruption. If that's the case, she needs to also close down her illegal business.
They said she wasn't a madam anymore
That's true. She was a part of it and contributing to it.
First time ever watching Unsolved Mysteries they mention the inaccuracy of polygraph tests.
Those car accident encounters are scary AF you don't know what type of nut you're going to come across
"I'm like their mom....".No!You're like their pimp!!!
Lol. Right
people with phony names are not in any position to critize others
Actually some sex workers have good relationships with their madams/brothel owners. A pimp is sth. different. Look it up (if you're not just a part of the general outrage brigade). Had you said "I wouldn't take just her word for it" though, I'd get behind that😆
@@RobertJamesChinneryH Neither are you.
Watch a Dave Paulides interview on RUclips. Runners are going missing (often vanishing) across our National Parks every year. Hundreds and hundreds of them and it makes no sense. Research his books (Missing 411) before blaming the husband!

I feel bad for the young woman, who first off had to give up her child hood to become a wife. And her son was adopted without her knowledge!! How awful!! It makes think about what happened in the world wars. All the mom's and dad's, who had to give up their son and daughters. That's truly awful!!

Ultimately Carter was arrested and charged with the murders. He spent three years in incarceration but was acquitted. In 2017 he filed a lawsuit for wrongful incarceration.
Great so that means not only did he get away with killing two girls but now he's going to get paid for it

Poor Richard Anderson, he was involved in a car accident and lost his life at the hands of a deranged driver!

Cops and ppl in city government are the biggest proprietors of prostitution. They use their titles as leverage to pressure these women in free sex! Once had the Department or city cover up to save face. No doubt the police had everything to do with these women turning up deceased.

Carter stood trial for the murders a few years ago and was acquitted

Around about now IIRC. :P The season are shorter as well.
It might have been the start of the cancer, but he was also in his 80s by now. It's not uncommon for peoples' vocal cords to weaken/stiffen in old age, which is why the elderly often develop weak, hoarse, or frail sounding voices.

Landers PD should look into Amy’s case again, ask the FBI for assistance, and go back to the cottage and luminal the ever living shit out of that place. “statistically he did it" that's so ridiculous. They have no clue what happened and just want to pin it on the husband
