I think they’re gonna use him to play Reed Richards. It’ll be a wasted opportunity and potential if they don’t use him
I just saw it hours before I found this video. It was such a HUGE fan service and I loved it. I loved seeing him in this role. I really hope he’s staying as this character.

If they were going to use him for one movie I think they would have used Ioan.
Or even Miles Teller. Also played the role already and the audience wouldn't mind that version being expendable. 😉
Having it be Krasinski because they want him in 616 too actually makes _more_ sense than being a one-off: he should be smart enough to figure out how the multiverse works, and might know what happened in this movie because of his dreams. That's not a possible narrative opportunity if they use anyone else in the role.
Krasinski is likely to remain as the MCU's Mr. Fantastic, and he could potentially surprise viewers with a more engaging performance next time.
Rumor has it Marvel wanted Wanda to travel to Tobey and Andrew’s Spider-Man universes and kill them too but Sony told them to kick rocks.
That might be one of the few positives of Sony having all the Spider-Verse characters.

Here's why they will use him moving forward. He's a FAN FAVORITE ACTOR and our last memory of him is being pulled apart. They are going to get that memory out of our head and make it right.

If they don't go with him, I'd like to see Glenn Howerton be cast as Reed Richards

Yes coz strange peggy Christine and mordo look the same in 838 so its possible he will look the same in 616 as well
I have one argument for why he will be cast (or at least could be). With the exception of Professor X, everyone in this universe is an actor whom looks exactly like their 616 counterpart. Even Black Bolt (sort of). I believe this universe is close enough to 616 that anyone that has a counterpart on both universes looks alike. Both other Spider-Man universes are different enough that the same guy can look completely different and even be a different age. 838 also has similarity with the X-Men movie universe giving us Patrick Stewart as Xavier. I believe there is a Reed Richards already existing the 616. We've already seen hints. So it would make sense that he would look like the 838 Reed. I do NOT believe there is currently a Charles Xavier in 616 and will not be until we get a blending of universes in Secret Wars. Obviously I could be dead wrong, but this is my opinion.
Blending the universes is going to be difficult to pull off, without everyone feeling like they've essentially destroyed and replaced the old universe. Another possibility they could go with is that the mutants are hiding out in Genosha and Professor X has done something like the memory spell to make everyone unaware of them, until something reveals their presence. Or they could even be hiding in plain sight, with Professor X's level of memory alteration that he's capable of.
But otherwise, yeah, it seems that 838 is intentionally _almost_ like 616. Most likely, Black Bolt will be recast too though. 😉
@@autonomousstardust2 I don't imagine they'll do anything with Black Bolt anytime soon. They were planning on making The Inhumans a big deal through the tv series. Unfortunately it was very poorly received. It was nice to see Anson Mount get the nod and play the character again on the big screen. Good actor. The show's failure wasn't his fault. Also I don't think that would have killed him. This implies that he never once after entering the terrigen mists said, "Hmm." But that's a really really nerdy debate. lol.
@@PaulBloyd Anson Mount definitely was better than the writing, but I still think they'll recast because they won't want to remind anyone of the show. I'm still not sure how the original plan for a movie became the show though; the movie version probably evolved into the Eternals, since that similarly introduced a bunch of hidden characters at once.
I'm still hoping for Vin Diesel to play 616 Black Bolt. Then you've got only his voice for Groot, but him without using his voice for Black Bolt. 😉
As for his own power killing him: that must be something separate from the sound waves, which is why it can be directed and doesn't just destroy everything in a certain radius around him. When he goes "hmmm," it probably still escapes through a microscopic gap between his lips. But no such gap was even possible anymore when his mouth was eliminated.

@@shadowsage1 his voice can blow a crater in the moon. A scream would have done more than pop the back of his head. It most likely would have taken Wanda with him. If his powers could do easily be used to harm himself. Since him speaking doesn’t regularly blow his teeth out, I would assume his powers would have no effect on himself.

I was also about to "No ackhually" you calling the MCU Earth-616 until I looked it up and saw they officially confirmed it was 616 in MoM
It's pretty obvious that they brought him in last minute during the late reshoots as a test for how people would react to seeing him in the role.
Obvious because he seemed rather stiff and unprepared in the role and the miniscule CGI work on his stretching ability was not fleshed out at all.
He will most probably star as Reed Richards in the Fantastic 4 movie and direct it, too. Which in turn makes it very likely that Emily Blunt will star as Sue Storm, which is pretty exciting.
I skeptical that he would make a good mcu director (not that it's hard to be one) just with the quite place 2 and all....
Plus there's the interview reveals where Elizabeth Olson never actually met him. Does this mean they originally had Ioan in that role? Or some other character entirely as that Illuminati member?
