Hi there, if you had milk a cow then you would know that a milking stool has just one leg on acount if the cow moves you can follow her,, and seated on the stool and with one of the stool and your own two legs which makes three legs and your cap turned backwards and head snuggled up against cow you dont need tthree legs, try it and thats the way we were brought up. Robert
That finished off from part one very nicely , lovely little project Thank you. P.s. congratulations on cutting down on the overheads by using the wife to do the camera work !
Can you give some thoughts on when you use a drive chuck vs a pro centre vs a Steb centre etc .... Or is it just personal preference / what you have to hand
Hi Simon, the following reply is from Colwin - "I tend to use the pro drive as much as possible as it doesn't need knocking into the timber like a regular drive centre. Also, price comparison to the steb centre is fairly large in favour to the pro drive." I hope this helps :)
Great video, as ever, Colwin. One random question about your face mask...... how do you clean the visor? I have wood sap droplets mine, which are becoming annoying. Is there a cleaning solution I should use?
Hi Adrian, the following reply is from Colwin - "Instead of cleaning the visor, use the overlays instead. Here is a link for you - www.axminstertools.com/jsp-force-10-visor-overlays-pkt-10-106637."
Hi I have just bought a axminister ac370wl and I have got the lathe speed at full 2000 rpm but now can't get it to move back down to 500 rpm, please help.

Nice work Colwin!
Normally you align the grain of your workpiece with the grain of the plug

Love your Thursday show, great presenter. What did you use to oil the lathe?
