  • Ernie Wilkins wrote "Blues for Sale" for the Harry James Orchestra in 1958.
It remained a staple in the James book until Harry's death in 1983.
This performance is from the Harry James Orchestra's tour of Europe in the Fall of 1970.
After the Leader's opening solo, Corky Corcoran solos on tenor sax, Dave Robbins plays an unusual plunger mute solo on trombone, all driven by Sonny Payne on drums.
This served as the second encore of the concert, thanks to the respectful encouragement of the Danish fans!
