    This “guide” is horrible and lazy
    The channel name implies “tips” but the video doesn’t cover any tech or advice rather you say the usually pt game plan. The closest things to “tech” you talk about is how to change Pokémon after ivy’s vine whip. The narration felt very lazy as if it was a last minute put together. For example saying “The good Pokémon trainers *know* the game plan super well and they know all the mechanics behind Pokémon trainer” as a conclusion completely fails your intention of the title. It implies only the good can be good. The 6 min + build up didn’t reach anything really helpful. You address a normal game plan for pt 2-3 times and only adds on the small gimmicks each character has on the second time you explain it. You said Pokémon trainer has different play styles but no examples are given rather saying they may have confirms like Squirtle f tilt jab locks. You address the strong suits of each Pokémon well but not their disadvantages. Squirtle excels in speed and combos but lacks the range in neutral and ability to edge guard. Ivy has a strong mid percent neutral game but lacks the frame advantage vs close pressure. His speed, poor movement, disadvantage state are all really bad and has popularly claimed as the worst of the 3. You mention Charzard has strong hitting moves but you don’t talk about any of his other strengths other than that. Charzard is the fastest out of the 3, boxing options with nair, spaced f tilt and fly oos. A good way to transition this sort of information is telling the viewer each Pokémon’s weakness and then mentioning how the next Pokémon on the line up covers those weaknesses
    Squirtle disability to edge guard and survive is aided through Ivy’s medium weight survivability and edge guard options like nair/dair covering huge amounts of space.
    Ivy’s poor disadvantage and ability to land is aided with Charzard’s multiple jump mix ups to land and his “get off me” moves like nair/up smash
    Charzard as a big body can have a space disadvantage and lacks the consistent low percent combos. This is aided by Squirtle.
    This sort of information could have been a lot more helpful for newcomers to realize more on how each Pokémon correlate with each-other rather than regurgitating Pt’s game-plan 3 times.
    Half of the video’s gameplay is you vs a cpu doing the worst examples of combos and doesn’t show any real b&b in a training mode. The other half of gameplay is just Tweek & Leffen... Tweek and Leffen aren’t the only representatives. How is Wishes or Puppeh not in this video. CEO was 6 months ago and this video was 4 months ago. Puppeh made top 8 solo pt and was seemingly out of nowhere. Wishes had one of the hype sets at frostbite vs Mkleo taking game 1 but he isn’t mentioned at all besides saying “*they* lookin kinda good right now”.
    This is not half of a guide. This is not “how to become a Pokémon master” and rather you constantly saying the *idea* of how the character should work. This implies that you don’t know any actual depth but just the basic knowledge most competitors already know. This information is so obvious just by looking at the 3 different Pokémon.
    Please do better

      I agree for the most part, but squirtle can go pretty far offstage to box oponents recoveries out, you are wrong about edgeguarding in that sense. Also Charizard is most certainly not the fastest, and his Nair is over committed and not that safe an option most the time. But yeah, this is not a guid by any means.

      @@namikatsu858 The main problem with Squirtle is that he lacks potential past low percentages, altough his combos are sick at low %. Poor range, lack of weight and no proyectile because of the Neutral B change.
      Ivysaur is the 13 kilos middleweight and the more well rounded, with the best D-air in the game (and one of the best up air as well), great edgeguard, good neutral, decent combo potential and good kill power. His two problems are his lack of OOS options and being slow in general, altough it's not that bad if you mantain the advantage.
      Charizard alone is bad, but at higher percentages he has a lot of good kill moves like Fly, OOS Up smash (Is frame 6 hitting in front at first, so a good OOS overall), Tipper F-tilt or B-air, up air, Flare blitz or F-air.

    Squirtle has really good combos (especially throw combos btw)
    Ivysaur has bullshit hitboxes, a ridiculously good projectile and then more bullshit hitboxes.
    And then Charizard has a better recover, more time for living (heavy), flare blitz, smash attacks, b-air, and kill throws.

    If your opponent is on a low platform, run under the platform, switch to charizard, and charge your side smash. 9 times out of 10, the opponent will drop down, thinking they’ll hit you first, then release your side smash, dealing decent damage the opponent and sometimes even killing them

    • @kuuja4345
      @kuuja4345 4 года назад +1

      Too much of a commitment, it’s better to pressure shields on the plat with Ivy. If you read they do a run off and attack, ivy or any of the Pokémon could parry or whiff punish. Besides Zard’s f smash could be just frames too slow and the opponent will get away.

    • @bongoe6997
      @bongoe6997 4 года назад

      Kuuja fair point, but you could always wait for the shield to drop and damage with fly, then switch to squirtle when the end lag finishes and you’re out of freefall, to deal additional damage

    • @kuuja4345
      @kuuja4345 4 года назад +1

      Bongoe Videos fly would still be too comital. If the opponent is patient and you do any over extensions, then you can get punished for it. The general game plan for platform pressure should be
      Squirtle: short hop up air the shield and whiff punish anything aggressive. If they jump or run away he can chase them and land f tilts when they are off the plat.
      Ivy: up air and up tilt covers everything
      Charzard: empty hops and falling up air to pressure shield and nair to cover landings. If the opponent doesn’t anything aggressive, Charzard can shield then up smash or put space the opponent and f tilt.

    • @bongoe6997
      @bongoe6997 4 года назад +1

      Kuuja we could do this for months. 😅 my basic plan is
      Squirtle 0% - 50%
      Ivysaur. 50% - Kill percent
      Carizard finisher

    • @kuuja4345
      @kuuja4345 4 года назад +1

      @@babytron5877 sounds good. Your opinion is just as valid as mine is. Then again I've mained PT since launch and have felt the difference between the patches. When I say that Ivysaur gets carried by Squirtle and Zard that's because some of his best tools got nerfed while Zard got buffs to some of his. Also since I have a different playstyle than everyone else, Zard picks up the slack from Ivy. Which basically means killing at lower percents. That's not to say Ivy is bad but he isn't what he once was. His dair is still good as is his Vine Whip but good luck trying to use Razor Leaf as an effective zoning tool. It's pretty much only useful for reads and for covering your approach back to the stage. Again that is just an opinion. The reason I stated it was because the guy who made the video either is NOT a PT main or hasn't played him much since he basically said Zard is only good for recovery. Which is patently untrue.

If you're under the stage, drift to the side and use a jump to be to the side of the ledge and there, you have a good way to get back up. Saying it's not good because you're not used to it is like calling Pikachu's recovery bad because "it's not easy to get the second part of quick attack and doesn't work if you time it wrong". The problem with Squirtle's recovery is that it is too linear and that you need to recovery from certain angles and is vulnerable from directly above it. Charizard can be abused off stage as well if you get him far enough to need to use flare blitz or hit him when he's lower. Ivy's only weakness as a recovery is having a lingering hitbox at edge so that Ivy can't recover immediately back to ledge.
