    What a perfectly executed review… can’t stand the over stimulating yanky reviews.
    Elegantly produced and many analogies like the harden hose pressure example.
    Well done to everyone involved. I always share this particular review to friends who ask about it considering getting one themselves.

      @@melissa4455 Hey Melissa, yep I still love it, it’s saved me so much time and energy! It really hasn’t had any issues at all, the only minor thing is that the water container for mopping on the docking station doesn’t press down all the way to suck the water up but I just put a 10kg dumbbell on top of it to weigh it down and that does the trick. But other than that there’s been no issues at all. If mine ever breaks I’ll be buying another one asap and For $1000 I’d definitely get it!

    Nice cinematography.
    Just one correction, X1 doesn’t use LiDAR but dToF for obstacle avoidance.
    And I think the fact that one has to manually remove the mopping pads for the robot to work on carpets is a huge inconvenience for houses with carpets. Everytime you want the entire house vacuumed and mopped, you’ll have to run the programme twice and attend to the pads.

    • @RobomateTV
      @RobomateTV  2 года назад

      Yes, you're right re dToF vs LiDAR. A subtle difference but the correction is appreciated. :)
      You're also right re the mopping pads. That's why it's best for houses that are mostly hard-floors - but more than that, specifically hard-floors in the areas around the self-clean station otherwise it can't use that function effectively.
      Thanks for the well-thought comment :)

      So you could set it to only vaccuum and mop the hard floor areas at one time? For example I might set it to vaccuum the house every couple of nights, and mop one night a week. So I could just set it to mop the hard wood areas on a night it's not going over the whole house? I'd just need to remember to put the mop pads on that evening and off the next day?

    • @HyRax_Aus
      @HyRax_Aus 2 года назад +1

      Mopping doesn't need to be done daily. I'd have it vacuum daily, but then mop once or twice a week. I'd set a phone reminder to attach the mop brushes before I go to work - walk over, hit the exit button, stick on the mop brushes, hit the entry button, and walk away. At the end of that day when I get home from work, another reminder would have me exit the unit, remove the now-dry brushes and enter the unit again. Would take all of 60 seconds two or four times a week.
      Either way, it's still far more convenient to do that than it is to manually vacuum and mop separately the traditional way at the frequency you can have this unit do.

    بعد تجربة مكثفة لا حظت النالي :
    ١.أدائها في رسم الخرائط ممتاز وسريع
    ٢.في تخطي العقبات لا بأس لم تعلق ابدا من اول مرة رغم كثرة الأثاث عندي ولكنها اصطدمت من نفسها عندما دخلت أسفل الأثاث وجرحت غطائها العلوي
    ٣.البرنامج سهل جدا وبلغة عربية
    لكن لغة التوجيه الصوتي لايدعم العربية
    ٤.مستوى قوة الكنس لا بأس إلا في الزاويا فغالبا لا تصل لها ولا حتى مسح الزوايا كذلك ف الزوايا لا تصل ولكن لم تعطني اي انطباع حقيقي أنها 5000الاف باسكال
    ٥.فرش الكنس غير مناسبة إطلاقا مع الشعر فقد وجدت الشعر قد التف حول الفرشاة السفلية والفرش الجانبية بصورة كبيرة
    ٦.وجدت أنها دخلت تحت الأثاث وتسببت في خدش نفسها من الأعلى مع أنه يفترض أن تتجنب الدخول لمنطقة قد تخدشها علما بأنني أستخدم في نفس المنزل ثلاثة روبوتات أخرى ولم يحدث ذلك أبدا مع أي منهم
    ٧.وضعت في خزان المياه قليلا من المعطر ذو الرغوة الخفيفه جدا وتفاجأت أنه الخزان لم يتجاوب في إخراج الماء أبدا حتى قمت بتنظيفه واعادة ملئه بماء صافي بدون أي إضافات
    علما بأنني نفس المعطر أستخدمه مع مكنسة
    روبوروك S7 ويعمل بجدارة
    ٨.الكاميرا جميلة وتعمل أثناء المسح والكنس ولكن ليس فيها زوم تقريب أو تبعيد
    ٩.من أكبر العيوب في نظري أنه لايمكن تشغيلها على وضعية المسح فقط .
    ١٠.كذلك من العيوب في نظري أنه لايمكن التحكم في قوة سرعة دوران المماسح الدوارة
    ١١.المماسح الدوارة مجوفة من الوسط أي أنها لن تغطي إلا جزء بسيط بسبب تجويفها.
    ١٢.المماسح الدوارة رقيقة مما يجعل تلامسها في الارض ليس قويا ولا ضاغطا وسرعتها خغيفه
    ١٣.جودة المسح سيئة جدا ج١دا في إزالة حتى أضعف البقع الجافة
    ربما هي رائعه في مسح الغبار لا أكثر لذا لا ننتظر منها إزالة قطرات من ببسي مثلا سقطت على الارض وجفت
    تم تجربة المسح فيما يلي :
    ١.قطرات ببسي متناثرة جافة على الارض
    ٢.قطرات من الشاهي بالحليب جافة
    ٣.قطرات من الشطة جافة
    ٤.طبعة الحذاء الجافة على السيراميك
    ٥.طبعة الحذاء الحالية على السيراميك
    ٦.نثر الغبار المتطاير الجاف
    ٧.الغبار الرطب
    وكان تقييمي لكل نقطة مما سبق على النحو التالي :
    النقطة الأولى والثانية أنجزت مسحها بنسبة 15% فقط
    النقطة الثالثة أنجزت مسحها بنسبة 5% فقط
    النقطة الرابعة أنجزت مسحها بنسبة 10%
    النقطة الخامسة أنجزت مسحها بنسبة 60%
    النقطة السادسة أنجزت مسح الغبار الطفيف بنسبة 90%
    النقطة السابعة الغبار الرطب أنجزت مسحه بنسبة 65%
    كنت أتوقع أني لو اشتريت مكنسة بهذا السعر سأستغني عن جميع المكانس الروبوتية غيرها لكني بكل أسف استغنيت عنها وقمت بإرجاعها
    بعدما خاب توقعي ويصعب جدا أن أستغني عن روبوروك S7 فهي جبارة في المسح والكنس والبطارية ولا مقارنة

The other difference is it doesn’t have radar system. It’s only available in China and you need a Chinese phone number to activate robot. I can’t seem to find anything online about how much water the robot dispenses as I’ve only ever filled it once and it doesn’t seem to ever deplete. Possibly there’s a fault? Pls help.

    My question is how well can it perform nightly cleaning in darkness? I just installed an Omni in my dental clinic but the place mostly has no windows and the lights are off at night when the floor cleaning will be performed. I know I needed lights turned on for the initial mapping, but can it carry out routine cleaning in full darkness? If it can't then I'll need to find a way to have a timer control the lighting around nightly cleaning times - but that comes with risks too as timers are known to fail and we can't have lights turning off during clinic hours. FYI the Omni's first vacuum and mopping cycle ended in failure about 3/4 through due to getting tangled in a cord and a mop head falling off.- so I had to drive back into the city and re-set everything. If it can succeed most of the time it could save me easily 500-800 dollars a month, fingers crossed - at that rate even if it dies in 4 months it's worth rebuying as a disposable machine.

    • @RobomateTV
      @RobomateTV  Год назад

      The robot doesn’t need light at all. You’ll find the object avoidance isn’t quite as good in the dark but still mostly works. Just use it a few times and you’ll get it 100% successful completion. :)

      The house is amazing indeed, a real pleasure to film this one. The mopping system on the MaxV Ultra is identical to the base S7 model, which has one advantage in that it can raise itself over carpet. The Omni is more suited to houses like the one in the video with mostly hard-floors for this reason. In theory they're quite similar, however there are quite a lot of differences to HOW they approach things. We'll release a MaxV video shortly!

    Thank for the review. I currently have a house and a flat and run the J7+ in the house and a Viomi S9+ in the flat. The J7+ is great as it always works well, and with 7 dogs i went to it because of the optical recognition! It is reliable and requires no attention. The next step I would like to take is to get to a proper mopping attachment, which the Omni X1 or S7 Max V Ultra provides. I do like the fact that the Omni washes and dries the mop vs the S7 which only washes the pad. SO I am in two worlds at the moment as I do have carpets in my bedrooms, but the rest are all tiled. My floorplan is about 200 sq m or 2200 sq ft.
    Can the Omni vacuum only - on tiles - without actually mopping - while having the mopping attachments on, or does it always mop when they are attached? I am asking as if I go this route, I will probably leave them on to mop the floor once a day, but I do vacuum multiple times during the day under my chinchilla cage, for example. I do not necessary want to mop there every time it goes out, but leave the pads on as it should stay ready for the next scheduled vacuum/mopping run in the house. The bedrooms I will rather just handle manually/

    • @RobomateTV
      @RobomateTV  2 года назад +1

      No problem! It sounds like you’ve got a pretty good setup. How do you like the Viomi?
      The mop drying is good, but it doesn’t really become too much of an issue in my experience if you’re using it regularly because it cleans the mop before starting. It seems there are reports that the MaxVs water tank starts to smell though, but I didn’t notice because I used it in lots of different places moving it every few days.
      You can turn off the mop function without removing the pads through the app, however I’m not sure why you would want to if it cleans its own mop and fills the tank :)
      Hope this helps

      @hansielategan969 2 года назад

      @@RobomateTV Yea that was just a question. With a big area that I want to clean, just wondering if saving a bit of water makes the refill of the tank less :)
      The Viomi is not bad, but it has some issues. In my big house it cause me more issues than anything else. It struggles with hair and the pet hair seemed to clog the pipe to the bag often. I think it is due to the design as it makes a right angled turn right at the end and that is where it gets stuck. As a general cleaner it does ok, but not as well as the J7 with a lot less suction. I don't use the Viomi mopping pad at all, as that is just a wet rag that gets dragged and in my opinion that is a waste of time and can actually make your floors dirtier than they were by spreading the filth.
      If you don't have pets, the Viomi will probably be good for you as it does come at a good price. In the flat there are two short hair dogs and the Viomi generally seems ok, but still sometimes gets a "dustbin full" error. Then you can look, there is some obstruction somewhere

The Ecovacs Omni is discounted at £849 but so are other Ecovacs models including the T10plus (£549), N8 plus (£219 or £349 with station), Turbo (£749), T8 Aivi (£309). Unfortunately the Roborocks are not on offer. What I care about the most is cleaning performance, less about the smart features. So my question is in terms of cleaning performance is it worth buying the Omni or other more expensive models over the T10 plus? The T10 plus seems to use a similar mopping technology as the S7 MaX Ultra so I wonder whether it would be as effective at mopping ? Thank you very much !

    This or the irobot roomba s9+

      The S9+ is better for pure vacuuming performance but lacks in other areas now as it's a few years older. :)

    My voice command function has stopped working. I have turned it off and on again but no difference. I have checked the website for troubeshooting tips. Nothing. I just can get it to respond when I say "OK YIKO". Starting to piss me off.

      As weird as it sounds, try talk to it in different types of voices to see if it makes any difference. Then if you find a difference you can tell that to Ecovacs and they may be able to help. When I got the early pre-release model, it would listen to my voice but it would to everyone else. Eventually it was fixed through updates. That’s all I can think of, unless there’s a microphone failure.

    Hello. Just a question, what is the music you use in the video? It's impressive, and if it is free, i would like to use it for a show. Thank's.

    Is this better than the roborock s7 maxv ultra?

    • @RobomateTV
      @RobomateTV  Год назад

      On hard floors, probably, if there's a mixture of carpets and hard-floors then the mop raise function on the S7 MaxV probably trumps it. Specs wise they're very similar - the mop function on this one is different, dries itself, and voice activation. A little annoying, is there a robot vacuum that you don't have to remove mopping pads and it automatically just vacuums carpet and mops hardfloors ?

      Roborock S7 range or Dreame L10S Ultra

      @@RobomateTV Wow great, cant wait for your reviews. Well done thanks.. Are brands themselves better to go for / build quality between these two ? I cant believe Ecovacs didn't put retracting pads in theirs.

    • @RobomateTV

      I haven't tested this specifically, but the manual says 20mm. My kitchen has a gap of 20mm which had no issues so it'll likely go a little higher.

    Evovacs robot is terrible
    If you buy one of them, you will end up regretting.
    My robot broke down in a year and a half. I asked to repair it.
    But they couldn't do that.
    Even they hadn't the parts.
    They recommeded someone they didn't know exactly to me.
    I have been waiting for 2 months since I sent them my robot after paying a lot of money for repairing

      The obstacle avoidance tech is pretty good at avoiding things structural things on the ground (e.g. poop)! It would likely end up mopping away any pet pee too!

    The fact thatbit has a video camera is creepy. I would feel like I am being watched and I dont want images of myself reclining on a sofa on a vacuum app that can be potentially hacked into or made available if needbe just by someone guessing my password. While this sounds like a great vacuum this is putting me off

    I bought one of these for £1300 - a complete waste of money. 3 months later it as sat in the corner of my kitchen, completely non-functional. The main brush on it is cheap plastic tat that falls to bits after a few weeks. You can’t replace the brush without spending £30 on a “buddy kit” which contains loads of other stuff which won’t have worn out yet - filters, dust bags etc - the brush supplied in the buddy kit failed after 3 days. I then spent 6 weeks trying to get a response out of their hopeless customer support team. The device then started behaving erratically, stopping 10 minutes into a program and complaining of multiple non-existent issues. The x1 Omni isn’t a bad vacuum - it’s just a brand new item, released with beta software and a support program incapable of actually providing support. Unfortunately these two issues render it useless after a couple of months and when you’ve spent over £1000 on a unit that leaves a pretty poor taste in your mouth. Avoid like the plague

      What is wrong with the brush in your case? It sounds like something in your house is shredding it because I haven't come across that (I'm still running the original brush). My house is small and I definitely don't have anything that would damage it though.
      What are the other issues? I'll help if I know :)
