Turn power off, bag and tape off electrical components, then spray sh and rinse.

Hey brother glad you didn’t get on that metal roof like some guys do. That whole garage looks great. I always do 5 to 6% on metal and shingle roofs. I always tape off the outlets for precaution.
I just recently started taping off outlets. I learned the hard way. Sometimes I get on metal roofs, as long as it’s clean where you’re walking, it’s pretty safe. Obviously not If the pitch is too steep.
Just started my business this year, get yourself some Goofoff RustAid that stuff is a miracle chem, takes off just about every stain i have ever used it on. Also I broke down and bought a case of southeast softwash surfactant never gonna go back to detergent lol. Sticks really well with a fan spray, most my jobs are metal roofs. Keep it up man
Hell yeah man!! Most people are afraid of metal roofs! I don’t mind it! I buy surfactant from local pressure washing store 💪
Bro you killing it. My suggestion is to tape the outlets so you won’t have to use pressure to clean.
Probably would’ve worked out better. Will definitely be doing that in the future! You da man 💪
I always drain the air from the hose before I start my washer. Spout pressure is enough to purge the air before starting.
Good idea buddy! I need to do that for sure! Appreciate that!
It’s always nice when you have a support system like your dad and brother. You might not always need help but if you ever do they are there.
That roof turned out nice! Great job. I’ve had people ask me to clean their roofs and I decline. To be honest it scares me lol. I’m paranoid and think I’ll kill all the grass or plants/flowers. So Id always recommend someone I know. Maybe I need to stop being a wuss hahaha
I’m blessed to have the support I do! ❤
The first roof I did was an absolute disaster. Luckily there grass was already ugly, so it wasn’t a big deal. Once you get one or two under your belt you will be more confident!
Good content thanks for sharing the sh strength it took to get the job done. Appreciate the educational experience.
Absolutely man! Rock on 🤘
i suggest you get a ball valve asap so that you don’t have to run to and from truck to run the injector. you would just turn the valve off, remove your gun, then turn the valve back on so that water is always flowing
Right!!! I definitely need that! I look dumb running back and forth lol
Ball valve too heavy..flo pro is the way to go.
When washing the inside of those metal buildings...mix up 5gals of water with a good dose of Dawn dish detergent and downstream the overhead and walls. Let it dwell for about 10 minutes and pressure rinse...works VERY well and speeds removal of that stuff a lot.
No SH?
@@577buttfan Na....not necessary and you are not supposed to mix Dawn dish detergent and bleach...check the bottle and it says that.
Thanks 💪
If the soap contains ammonia, it will create chloramine vapors when mixed with SH. This can result in respiratory, eye, and skin irritation.
@@GuardianPressureWashing I said NOTHING about mixing with bleach...I said water and Dawn...read it again.
Always bag and or tape up your electricals
Add a surfactant kinda heavy with a light nozzle spray and you won't have that much runoff to the ground
Great advice 💪
Also tape electrical outlets and use a pump sprayer for tight areas
Good idea 💪
Did you use any SH when cleaning the sides of the shed, or did you just pressure wash with plain water?
I think just pressure.
You don't think that spraying the stream of water up and under the ridge cap is bad for the attic area?
Yeah it probably is. At the time I didn’t know. At this job he emptied in the garage out because I did the inside too, so it wasn’t too bad.
How on Earth can you get a 2.1% mix down streaming? I'd like to hear your setup. The best I've been able to do with a 1.8 injector is 1%
If I said that in this video, I was wrong. Im with you on that. Im around 1%
@@joeallenpressurewashing thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking what am I missing you must have been thinking you had a 2.1 injector or something.
use backpack for inside then rinse. easier to control
Yeah that would’ve worked better!
Would using a surfactant with the SH help it dwell on the roof even if you downstream?
Downstreaming wouldn’t allow a strong enough mix, so that’s not really smart to do on roofs. I do use a little surfactant with my 12v pump when I’m doing roofs. It just takes longer to rinse when you use a lot.
You need a xjet set up bro i just got one it has multiple advantages and a couple disadvantages lol. But overall a great tool
I’ve been considering it. Don’t know too much about it. Looks super inconvenient in my opinion. I could and probably am wrong about that lol
It's kinda a equipment saver and you can draw a stronger mix like up to 5% than down streaming from the pump witch is around 2%. It eliminates bleach from traveling through the hoses and your wand. I'm running a small pressure washer to 2.4gpm 3300psi, i found I'm a little more efficient i can shoot straight stream about 30' with my xjet. It's all about what works best for you, I'm getting a 4gpm within 2 weeks can't wait .
@@joshschauer6692 damn that is very convincing. What about carrying around the jug??
Well in carrying the jug around isn't to bad to me but it's mainly personal preference..
@@joshschauer6692 I will definitely be purchasing it. Maybe I like it, maybe I don’t. Won’t know unless I try. I appreciate the advice! ❤️
Keep going brother !
Will do my man 💪 appreciate you!
Tape electrical outlets and pump sprayer it would take a hr maybe 2
💪💪💪
amazing job man keep it up
Thank you 💪💪
What chemical do you use to eliminate the rust ?
It’s not rust. I used sodium hypochlorite for this job.
@@joeallenpressurewashing I thought that was rust anyway it looked so nice . I like your videos and your job .
@alejandroortizflores1246 thank you brother! It came out nice! Thank you for watching my channel!
Do you not have to wear a mask with that stuff? Or is it fine ?
It’s probably recommended, I don’t, but I should
If you’re up on a shingle roof and it’s real hot outside I always wear a 3M chem mask. The heat and the SH will definitely put you out.
That is an amazing amount of runoff.
Right! That’s why I completed flooded the area!
@@joeallenpressurewashing amen. I hope to be where you're at soon bro.
Looks good
Thanks ❤️
Was that roof painted or anodized?
Not sure honestly
😤🫡🙏🏾‼️Keep it up family ‼️
Thanks Zach! 💪
