@@toastiboi7618 yeah but he has some sort of higher skill floor and ceiling than other characters but people only focus on the higher skill ceiling. I think he is too easy but he still has some skill required
Road hog is an easy counter for doom. One good hook and shoot and he will be crying running back to his healers

this whole time blizzard wasn't balancing around the character they were balancing around the geometry
When I hit my enemy they find the smallest object to get stuck on , when I don’t hit them I go off the map
I like how the pole saved soldiers life but the tree did nothing for flats
Pole blocks enemy who is punched but doom goes directly through a solid tree

the fact that most "walls" dont count as wall-hits and enemies bounce off if the angle is more than 25° makes it practically impossible to kill someone with the actual fist

I have had people straight up bounce back without the stun or damage from a perfectly straight wall punch and it happens more frequently than you think

You can definitely tell its top 500 bc the Orisa actually stops shooting the moment you block. She also dances around you while protecting her team

i need an actual tutorial video for doomfist. I see zbra do amazing things and then i fly into a team, get stuck and slept, anti and all kind of stuff. and then die within 3 seconds and cant defend myself.
GetQuakedOn released a Doomfist guide yesterday, although if you're struggling as bad as Flats, that's more of a skill issue

You need to be aware of the enemy team’s and your team’s positioning. Tank doom fist is all about getting value for your team and eventually when the time is right, you will pop off in the middle of the enemy team. You have to be aware of the options on how you can help your team to win a fight.
A lot if it has to do with the fact that ZBRA and Quake are in extremely high elo games and are known for their ability to play doomfist well. Their teammates know they are playing with the legitimate best doom players in the game so they properly support them and engage with them.
Always be careful around map edges, if you miss your punch yerrrrr screwed
It requires a very fast reflex but you could always try turn punching away from the cliff if you miss your punch

Once you know how to use Doomfist properly he is VERY fun to play

Doom has been one of the worst heroes ever actually, people had always complained about his bugs and how probably every dive tank does his job but better( unless you have a ridiculous amount of hours playing him ) I haven’t seen a pro player actually say that doom is op, because you only need to pick hog or Oriya to shut him down.
Buffing doom is one of the most painful experiences in a rank where people don't focus. Nothing like having an unkillable doom stunning you constantly while playing support.
I get the frustration but in fairness unless you take time to learn him you will be punished. I agree he needs a nerf specifically to health gain but bullying the support has been the only way my teams have won sometimes. Like one match I was literally the only one to ever kill the supports like come on.
@@Dots.0 I think they've just done it the wrong way. They removed cc from the game but buffing doom fist has made it feel like you are constantly stunned.
@@BrutalL3G4CY there is still a ton of cc especially from tanks. Orisas spear, sigmas rock, I'm counting rein charge and hog hook because they still cancel abilities and stop you from moving, Ana dart and doom mainly stuns you for .25 seconds all it does is guarantee a single shot (one shot sounds too much like one-shot) and unlike most cc he puts himself into the fight whereas others can use cc from range and stay a safe distance. Also the empowered stun punishes people who shoot doom in his block so it's counter is don't shoot him and now he very rarely can stun you for a significant amount of time. It is on a 3 second cooldown yes but since you need to knock someone far back enough (may need to charge punch) to hit a wall if they are in front of a wall in the first place so it's not a guaranteed stun and its incredibly short so it's not really the stun. Ik it's hard to play against doom as support (when using support I use zen) but its not because his stun is op but because he directly exists to counter me.
Getting hooked and oneshot by unkillable hog/kiriko any better?
@@xheos the ohk needs to be tuned way the fuck down hogs one shot kill has the same range, brings enemies out of position instead of you going out of position and is easier to hit than dooms fist.
My point is most other tanks stun for longer periods on longer cooldown so now doom has an easier-to-access but way shorter stun. It's pretty well spread out though since 12/4 is 3 so basically he has the same stun over time as others it's just been spread out in quantity of stuns over the quality (he still needs to charge and hit you into a wall mind so it's not as forgiving in that regard). Yeah OK he can get empowered punch but that is a punish for bad plays or else he just gets it from meteor strike which isn't super often. I've said before but his skill floor needs to be higher imo by increasing the drain of overhealth so he relies more on movement to survive and so that he doesn't as often enter engagements with 600 health but other than that he's a (kinda atm) balenced character

I've been doing this to everyone who picks doom.
Just bait their ass to a ledge their instant instinct of "PUNCH = ENVIRONMENT KILL" will take over and all you have to do is time the dodge and watch them go bye bye.
I saw a tracer player do it on dooms giga buff and decided to try it myself it works 110% they always fall for it and 99% instantly swap hero afterwards. 😂
This doesn't work on most experienced doom players tho
I mean if they know how to do a turn punch then they can pretty much avoid falling off if they missed a punch

To be fair he wasn’t really trynna fight her. He went for the Deeps then after that failed Orisa pushed him into that room so he was iso’d. He wasn’t focusing her
I watched it again to make sure, when was he focusing her? Shooting her isnt focusing. You think he meant the silver players should juat stare at her?
Also, if she falls off the map, she fell of the map
