In the name of affordable, the only tiffany blue color is you’re getting. No sapphire, no hacking, no hand winding, rattling bracelet, noisy rotor like miyota, below average lume. Only the sub brand of seiko you’re getting with day date and Tiffany blue
While i agree with you, there are hardly any offerings in the automatic movement in tiffany colour in less than 10k. In less than 10k, we always get miyota, clanky bracelet, sometimes sapphire, size, design, quality are also sub standard by major brands. There is a good offering in tiffany by citizen and casio in 10k and 12k (edifice) but both in quartz. Casio also has a popular tiffany quartz in much lower price but again the same issues. Therefore, it is just a tiffany alternative. HMT also has an option but with their own issues.
An automatic watch is always considered to be far more valuable than a pretty quartz watch. Any watch enthusiast/horology expert will agree on this. For 10k, its amazing that we are getting a Seiko branded automatic watch. Automatic watches are usually very expensive.
@@iliveinsecrecy that’s a pretty outdated movt. In 10k, automatic enthusiast will get nh35 movt watch. That’s what I’m saying. This doesn’t look that premium too. By adding few bucks, one can get seiko watches like snkl/snxs/snka series which looks thousand dollar timepiece with same movt. Automatic watch lover will prefer that first than alba.
Its okayish for the price with a +/- 30 seconds observed accuracy per day. Its a discontinued movement by seiko. Anyways there is no handwinding in the watch so literally it works as long as it is on your wrist.
It is provided by Seiko. There are dedicated contact nos for each region, online tickets can also be generated. They have retailers who are typically tier 2 watch retailers, i think who will be able to do the basics. Though i have never tried any of these.
Is it normal for alba watch that needs constant shaking? I bought brand new one from shop and it needs some shaking I thought these kinda watched will run on its own
Yes it is normal. Alba does not support hand winding, that is you know rotating the crown to wind it up. Therefore, one needs to shake it up to start. So, it will keep running as long as you wear it, so no problem. If you remove it from the wrist, it will keep running for few hours and then it miggt stop. So just shake it up again and wear and you are good to go.
Not much...after full day of wearing it is giving 6-8 hours. It works fine as long as you keep wearing it, there is no hand winding to jack up the power reserve.
If you are ok with a quartz Casio 108 is a better proposition because of better quality and sapphire crystal. This one is a automatic but without hand winding option. So you can expect it will keep running nicely as long as it is on the wrist.
Dude i dont understand the day wheel of this watch. It has the name of the day as well as the roman depiction it as well so i gotta reset the date everyday. What are your thoughts on this?
Yes it is a problem. See i treat this watch as a non-automatic watch because of very poor power reserve. So the rule can be whenever you are wearing it you can correct the day, which i agree is very irritating.
