I actually like the warm tones in your hair, it makes is a bit more interesting!
I've found that conditioning my hair about once a month with pure coconut nut oil and avocado oil has really helped me maintain moisture in my hair. I like to leave it on like a mask then pop in the shower and only shampoo. Also using sulfate and paraben free shampoo and conditioners have helped my grey colour last longer with washes.
When I had silver hair I was using Pravana silver and it was difficult to remove. I dunno what you're using but I 10/10 recommend Pravana silver.
If you haven't seen it yet, Overtone makes a silver daily conditioner and a deep conditioner that is supposed to help with maintenance. It doesn't appear to be purple based.
So i am using the OVERTONE Silver weekly treatment. Love it
I like the warmth in your hair. It looks like it's rhodium or 'gilver' coloured! Lovely!
after watching your older silver hair video. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your NEW silver look! and I LOVE you new style of videos they really feel like I'm just chillin at you flat!!
I remember having bleach blonde hair and constantly experimenting with colours, one of my first videos was a pastel pink hair tutorial! I had no idea about hair when I did that, I wish I had the knowledge you do now when I was younger. I love your silver hair, such an ace colour! :D
My hair pulls very warm when bleached, so before I would put my lavender dye on, I would shampoo with Shimmer Lights purple shampoo and leave it on for about 5mins and that made my warm blonde very ashy, a great base for the lavender to really show. Maybe it could help you tone down your warm tones too before the silver Roux?
I went out and bought the Roux Rinse after you mentioned it in another video and I'm in love! IT's such a great product!
Hi Helen, I started using SLS-free shampoo a few years ago and that can also make a huge difference to maintain your hair colour. Also helps with really dark brown or black dyed hair. I use Yes to Cucumbers shampoo :) Really worth a try!
Whoa! You are a hair's breath away from 500,000! Congrats. Thank you for all of your videos.
I had silver hair lately. It washed out and went completely green because of my blonde underneath 😂 but it's the first dye I've ever found that went silver on my stubborn hair!!
I've gone grey too! Best thing I've ever done!
i've had silver hair on and off for a year now, i just toned it to a slate grey colour and as soon as i wash it it goes back to a really pale silver which is disappointing so i'll definitely take a trip to sally's and get a rinse! anyway thank you for the tips :)
Hi Helen I work in a hair salon that uses olapex I don't no if maybe my Salon and the salon you got it from sell it different but In mine we are told to not wash your hair before and it works better on dry hair also you don't need as much as you applied using a smaller amount would make it last twice as long :) and your hair looks amazing back silver :))))
Congratulations on 500k! This was soooo helpful I'm gonna try that rinse, I've been desperate to get my hair silver for ages and so far I'm at pale blonde... I will pursue!
Try using a sulfate-free shampoo, it's less aggressive and makes the color last a little longer then regular shampoo. :)
Than*
do you know any good sulphate free shampoos I've struggled to find one that doesn't make my hair feel dry
+Sophie Rex I use the one from Macadamia and my hair feels great and looks very shiny and healthy. 😊
i don't even have silver hair
There's light and dark silver. I have light, she has dark.
Love your hair and makeup! You're beautiful just the way you are. I like the warm color in your hair cause your eyebrows pick up that color, looks more natural and interesting.
I've just ordered indola in pearl grey super excited to try it, so much easier than going the salon! xxx
Have you tried bondplex? Olaplex is great but omg if you have the chance to go to a salon with bondplex you'll never go back, leaves hair so much softer & closer texture to what your natural hair is like :)
+Tar Mar not yeeeeet!! I may have to give it a go! Tom who did my hair is an olaplex ambassador you seee xx
+Helen Anderson For sureee I used olaplex when it first came out for my balayage then when I started getting my hair done in Belfast the salon I went to said they had been trialling both for a while and decided they liked bond plex better. I then had my hair bleached with it like 3 times all over in a month and my hair felt still in such good condition and much softer. Just got my hair done here in NYC with olaplex again and have to say I noticed a big diff! Ends feel super dry! :( Bleach 1st world problems ahaha! Still forever searching for the silver lining mousse, I got the lighter shade but I still love that stuff thanks to you!
+Tar Mar as a hairdresser I'd say stick to Olaplex. Bond Plex is a nock off and is full of fillers and doesn't get as into the hair as Olaplex.
Olaplex doesn't shield the hair! It rebuilds the disulphide bonds in your hair that are damaged by heat, colour, weather etc. When Olaplex is put in with the colour it's rebuilding the bonds as the colour is breaking them :)
Oh also, all the other products with 'plex' in them, aren't the same. They coat the hair, not repair it. Olaplex has been patented so no other company can use the same ingredients
Well I tried to explain haha xx
+Helen Anderson haha no I know! You're like the only RUclipsr that can talk about hair and not make me cringe 😂I was just surprised your hairdresser hadn't explained it properly! Love this colour on you :)
Your hair is looking sooo much softer recently Helen! Love it :)
I don't have silver hair but I loved watching this and love your hair color so much!
I just dyed my hair silver and i was hoping that you did this! Thank youuuuuuu💖💖💖💖💖
I love my grey/silver hair but after the second hairwash the color is GONE !!!! The bleached hair dont like Color anymore😃😃 is the Olaplex good without using it with Color ? No way to get Olaplex No 1 in Germany (only in a Salon)
My hair stylist bleach my hair and it was warm blonde. She then put a grey over it and it’s a sewage-y green/ grey/ brown colour. I don’t know what to do...
I didn't like those Coco Loco shampoo and conditioner :-( My hair's really damaged and they didn't really work that well, I do really like the leave-in conditioner spray though. You should try the Lee Stafford Fix It treatment instead, it's reaaally good and makes hair feel really lightweight and manageable!
Hee Helen! Would you ever dye your hair pink or purple again? love to know 🤘🏻
That lipstick colour looks amazing on you!
I wish I was a confident as you when it comes to changing hair colour, you experiment so much and always manage to rock any colour and style! I've been a boring brunette for the past 5 years and am too scared of ruining my hair to dye it again! P.s. Your red lip is perfect, what products did you use??
My hair dresser warned me about too much purple, but she told me about hair masks what do you think she dropped me one off but I've found a osmo steel one what do you think
goshhhh you make it so hard to resist from doing anything to my hair! I've been good with it for three years trying to stay with the curly girl method, kind of. but man I'm itching to do some coloring and heat styling realllllly badly. :p
Coconut is awesome.....unless you have dyed hair .
Love your video! Please share what color you use with the Roux Fanci-Full Rinse. Very helpful. Thanks!
Thank you for this, I wish I found this before I dyed my hair red. I had super blonde hair before hehe xx
What lipstick are you wearing? It's gorgeous!
Loving you with silver hair! Does the silver leave in color transfer onto white clothes and your bedsheets? I had silver hair and I'm really missing it so I'm thinking of giving that product a try!
Wanting to dye my hair silver and was just wondering how often you have to re-dye it with both fading and regrowth in mind. Thanks :)
would it be possible to use silver shampoo and occasionally use the silver rinse to boost the grey colour?
Is the Roux you use "mouse" ? What color Roux do your use?
Love this video. I swear every time I watch your videos I want to dye my hair silver. 😍
I have grey hair too so loved this video! Xx
How many washes does the roux bottle last you usually?
): I cant find that L'oreal product anywhere online except out of the U.S. ),:
omg I must try all of this! but a possible future book 👀 sounds p cool !!! 💖💖💖
So close to 500,000!!!
Hello Helen, I know this is random but I think you should do a "What's in my car" video! 😊
Is there a difference between the mousse and the liquid rinse version besides the textures? Also would it be ok to leave it on without blow drying your hair?
ive just gone and got my hair ombre with a grey/blue/lilac (hard to describe as it changes with different lighting) where on amazon can i find that product x

I don't even dye my hair but I watch all your hair dye videos...what?
Hm was that a sneaky hint that you're writting a novel?😉
Haha no! Xxxx
I hope the sub box fixes for you! must be so frustrating when your earnings and life is partly based on your views, yet the company you do it through cant provide you the platform to correctly put it out there for your audience! love your videos though Helen! x
Luv u helen
Not enough hours in the day!
I look forward to seeing what you look like when you are 50 sure them tattoos will look amazing.
Silver hair is so hard to give up I don't think I'll ever want to get rid of mine no matter how much of a pain in the ass it is to upkeep 😂
You are very pretty . You don't need those rings in your nose that take away from you natural beauty.
