Charleston said some real stuff that resonated with me about black boys and young black men in the hood or bad circumstances. Growing up in Baltimore when I was going to public school. Those very same kind of kids used to just fuck with me for no reason, I come from a stable home with knowing my pops and my mama. I always got the newest shoes and everything I wanted. Kids used to just fuck with me, fight me and do so much shit to me for no reason. A lot of them was dealing with trauma and took it out on someone else, they got molested, in a bad family home, etc that makes a lot of sense now it’s still no excuse to make someone else life a living hell. Those type of young boys needed mental help and that’s definitely properly why it’s so many gangs and murder issues with young people.
It’s always been like that in the poor neighborhoods. Trauma, etc. We weren’t killing each other like this in the past. We were poor in nyc growing up decades ago. But we didn’t kill each other. Mexicans. ASians, etc are in poor areas, but they not out here killing each other daily. We have to stop with the excuses and look inwards into our communities and place the blame. Then solutions. But that “we were slaves 200 years ago” cop out mentality has to go.
